  1. Thanks for the kindness! Zenith was finished this rainy afternoon and it has the newer style over the shoulder lap bars like Flying Aces. I have also installed EverScream, the park's terrain wooden coaster, it glows gold at the front of the park, there will hopefully be some screenshots later!
  2. Gateway Gardens Update #2: Riptide 3.0 is finished and I have begun to put up the park's signature Intamin monster: Zenith! All of the themed lands have their own gateway and color scheme as you can see in the screenshots. These lands are, going c;pckwise from the main entrance: Gold Rush Gulch, Shipwreck Reef, Pyria Falls, Electri City, Speed Zone, Fantasy Kingdom, and Forbidden Forest. The Gateway Wheel glows a different color depending on which coaster passes through it. Electri City Gateway Forbidden Forest Gateway Fantasy Kingdom Gateway Gold Rush Gulch Gateway An overview of the WIP hub. Pyria Falls Gateway Riptide giant flat spin Splashdown 1/3 The sun sets on a productive day in the park. Riptide 3.0 pays homage to its pirate roots with a hangover fit for a rum-swilling pirate! 3. Welcome to the construction progress thread for the new Gateway Gardens theme park! Gateway Gardens will be an evolution of all I have learned from my previous four "practice parks". This time around, I wanted to build a realistic, over-sized budget theme park based in my current home town, which is already a busy tourist spot in the summer and home to the Water Wizz waterslide park. (As seen in the movie "Grown Ups") One thing you may not know about me, is I am an amateur haunted house/maze path designer/builder/actor and I have opened three awesome haunted trails in my old home in Rhode Island. (The Psycho Path, The Haunted Mine Shaft, and Y2K: Countdown to Destruction) While scouting for a new Massachusetts location for a new sensory maze, I explored several locations, both of which will not work out due to liability reasons... the first being an old cranberry processing plant (over 100 years old) owned by my girlfriend's father-in-law. When I decided my next venture would have to be outdoors, I started checking out a spot right here in town called Charge Pond, located in East Wareham, MA. Many dirt trails wind through the woods leading to a central pond. I started day-dreaming of being a billionaire ordering Intamins and B&Ms for this quiet spot and thought: my next Planet Coaster creation will be "built" here. With Wareham being "The Gateway to The Cape", Gateway Gardens is a fitting name. This park will be New England's Disneyland style resort, with seven themed lands which are as follows, going clockwise from the entry gate: Western, Pirates, Volcano, Sci-Fi, Racing, Fantasy, and Horror. I started with the Gateway Wheel, a giant hubless ferris wheel isoloated to the quiet island in the center of the pond. Guests queue up in an underwater tunnel, listening to soothing music before taking in the majestic view of the surrounding forest. The next step was adding the monorail, steam train and main gate, which all have functioning signal lights, and some details like a maintenance shed. If you look at the photos below, you will see that my railroad shed is based on Disneyland's, as I used to be a conductor on the railroad and would put my assigned train away for the night in a building just like this. The difference with my building is that the monorail's transfer tracks are in the back, so there can be more of a view of the steam trains. Thank you for checking out the park, there is much more to come on the horizon! The Gateway to Adventure! 4. I saw some photos of the Joker testing today, very excited to ride my first coaster of this type !
  5. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=900601756 Cavalier Cove Theme Park now available to download on steam workshop! (PlanCo) Please be sure to leave a rating if you enjoy the park. Cavalier Cove has been my winter/spring project and it was great making some very detailed coasters and environments. This park has custom coasters and some workshop buildings and skins. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
  6. http://themeparkitect.tumblr.com There is yet another update to Parkitect! This time, featuring the submarine ride, check it out !
  7. Tonight the finishing touches were put on Crossbones! She shaped out to be a nice long ride through the jungle and hills along the east boundary of the property. My favorite part are the parallel return runs, running alongside both Lockjaw Falls and the Cavalier Cove Railroad. We are still on target for an early May release, with a 2.0 update due in late summer, featuring new themed lands on an upper terrace/volcano, stay tuned!
  8. Tonight I finished and smoothed the track for Crossbones, the new CCI terrain wooden coaster at Cavalier Cove. Crossbones features a layout following the natural rocky cliffs on the east side of the park. The coaster, in particular, for the front half is super fast and intense with plenty of airtime moments. Theming and landscaping will take a while but I think she's going to turn out looking pretty good.
  9. Thanks! The next coaster to be built will be very much inspired by Kings Island's famous Beast coaster. It will run alongside Lockjaw Falls and have lots of tunnels, lots of terrain elements and be absolutely huge! "Crossbones" station, transfer track and maintenance track are already built, the fun part of construction starts tonight!
  10. Lockjaw Falls: log flume fans might appreciate this: A pirate/haunted themed log flume with 2 drops, special lighting and 30 triggers, finally done! The first of two water rides for Cavalier Cove Theme Park. Cavalier Cove 1.0 will be available in late May, however, a summer expansion will be available and 1.1 will be released then. Once the main area of the park is done and the park is released on Steam, I will add a second loop around the back of the park. Future additions to 1.0 will be; Crossbones (terrain wooden coaster) and Renegade River (rapids ride). 1.1 will feature a massive active volcano, and a concept called "Vulcan" will be built in the back of the park.
  11. Really nice work, I love those Batman themed drop towers. You gotta love Parkitect, new stuff coming out in the beta all the time!
  12. Welcome to update 2 of Cavalier Cove! My March 2017 goal was to complete a second island coaster to accompany Riptide, the park's launched B&M wing coaster. Inspired by great B&M flying coasters like Tatsu, Manta, and Galactica, I present to you: Undertow! This B&M flying coaster climbs a mountain high atop its own island, with a waterfall flowing inches below the riders going up the lift. Undertow's many tunnels glow with a blue aura as the train soars through them, creating a mysterious, abyssal effect. The park should be released in about two months, thanks for your interest! Now that my software runs on ultra mode, check out Mutiny! Mutiny's helix now has some new surprises in the hidden helix... A shot of the bay from the backside of the park. Riptide is in the foreground, Undertow in the background. Riptide is running beautifully on maxed settings! I could watch this coaster all day! Swashbuckler is the park's family coaster, it loops around the enclosed Aeronauts building and ends with an exciting tunnel finale! Here is the new resident of the recently risen island, Undertow! The ride has two pedestrian splash zones, both of which have warning signs that flash and sound an alarm when a train approaches. Tatsu may or may not be Undertow's father... he was seen drinking with Manta, a known floozy in the coaster world. The fly-to-lie element, here you can see the waterfall lift hill Here she is at night, the tunnels glow aqua when trains pass through them Heading up into the wooden bridge MCBR Where the train splashes the dispatching train
  13. Hello everyone, for my winter PC project I present to you: Cavalier Cove, a pirate adventure in paradise! We currently have three of the park's seven coasters installed: Riptide (B&M LSM launched wing coaster), Mutiny (RMC I-Box hybrid) and Swashbuckler (Tivoli family coaster). The park, when completed will also feature two water rides, over a dozen themed flat rides, and a very detailed dark ride, which will be saved for the end when I have sharpened my skills. Work has already begun on the second and final island in the center of the cove. This top secret project will be revealed soon! Check back for updates, and for those of you who may like what you see, please be sure to subscribe to Crimson Ridge Theme Park, my western themed adventure park! Link for steam download for Crimson Ridge and some shots of the finished park can be found here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=74446 Thanks for checking out my work, and as always, creative input and critiques are always welcome. Let's begin our tour with Mutiny at Cavalier Cove! This Rocky Mountain Coasters I-Box hybrid design features three inversions and a long outward banked turn. This layout has some inspiration from Wicked Cyclone at Six Flags New England, with the size and ferocity of Goliath. Night shot of the zero-g stall and rolls. There is a helix halfway through the ride, through a tunnel, special effects are being installed later tonight! A frontal view of the entire layout Looking up the lift hill, we can also see Pirate's Plunge (Intamin gyro drop) in the background. The real star of the show is the $200 million dollar Riptide! Here is B launch and the Calypso Kiss element, where riders feet seem to skim the bay below. At night time, this zero g roll activates flashing red eyes and effects in the jolly roger! B&M's largest inversion to date. The ride begins with an LSM launch over the lighthouse, through a diving loop, and off the island to a cave at the bottom of the island. This cave activates thunder, lightning and some surprises! I am pleased with the way the entrance turned out, the queue is very long as during soft openings people tend to flock directly to Riptide Island. The back part of the ride, can you spot the Kraken Pit? A new, mysterious island has emerged from the depths, any guesses on what it could be for?
  14. Admittedly I'm a big B&M fanboy and after riding Thunderbird (and loving it) I thought of all the potential this launching wing coaster design could have. I sketched up a coaster a few weeks after my trip to Holiday World, and then was blessed to have the gift of Planet Coaster where I was able to make my dream coaster. To me, the perfect coaster would have multiple launches, be very smooth, feature many inversions but an equal amount of airtime elements. Special effects and animations are a must. My "dream coaster" has 7 inversions, two of which I created myself, maintains its smoothness, has two "Storm tunnels", an animated sea monster, splash effects and a ton more. The last ingredient is setting, I put Riptide on its own island in the middle of the cove. I know these screenshots probably belong on the gaming area but I wanted to show you what I dreamed up as my perfect design. Riptide entrance The backside of the island, I know it's over budget... The giant dive loop after A launch that goes over the lighthouse. A huge loop is a must for my perfect coaster Zero-G... over the sea... B Launch, and splash effect A
  15. Hello everyone, I have just finished my 53 in-game years build Crimson Ridge Theme Park. Crimson Ridge features many custom as well as workshop rides and buildings in several differently themed lands. This western themed adventure theme park features many different coasters, water rides, and flat rides. To download, please check out the link below. 16. If that is in fact drop track being installed in the shed, it would be the best kind of 'let down' there is, another drop! The one on Verbolten is great every time IMO. Even though you don't drop far it still surprises me every time. I am hoping it is a drop section with even a little bit of SFX. I loved seeing those aerial photos, Mystic Timbers is going to be a great addition to an already stellar line up of coasters.
  17. The teal track with purple supports at Clermont steel may be for a smaller gauge dive machine. Many assume due to its early manufacturing it is likely heading to Asia.
  18. Wow, I didn't realize you could just drive right through the lot of the steel mill. There is an awful lot of unpainted track back there. I am really intrigued to find out more about the aqua/purple coaster pieces, I really love the combo! Is that unpainted track about the same size/type of the aqua track? Some people have a much better eye with these things than me.
  19. I have to say... that first post made me cringe reading what this guy said. I have seen an unreasonable amount of people throw salt at Robb over the years and I just couldn't figure it out. I don't think I could maintain a site like this which is always growing, manage social media , plan trips, and provide fun to Coaster fans while simultaneously needing to fend off the trolls. I just wouldn't have the patience for it. On my first ever trip to the west coast before I moved there , the Alveys met me and my girlfriend at Magic Mountain, hooked us up with fast passes, and spent a good half a day with us touring the park. To me this was beyond kind , Add to that the fact that since then I have attended many TPR events, albeit I have become more "quiet and to myself" over the years when at these events. I see the annoying fanboys , the complainers, and the entitled assholes who can't stop whining and I just don't know how you deal with it all. I apologize for the fact that you have to deal with these folks. I hope you know they are just jealous, awkward creatures that don't understand when they are being given a gift. This is a great place to visit , a great group of people, and even though I see you guys at the parks and maybe keep to myself a bit... I appreciate Robb and Elissa's patience, kindness, and dedication to this site. Thank you for all you do every day and will never forget all you do for us! Will never forget your kindness!
  20. I wonder if this is the teal track and purple supports at Batavia. I have never been to Toverland but it looks like the last few years have brought lots of nice additions !
  21. Hello there, I was wondering if any other New Englanders have been by the park recently. I'm curious to see if pieces for the Joker have arrived, mostly to see if it will have the awesome alternating color combo like the one going up in Texas. I'm very excited to have a free fly coming to my home park!
  22. I was just checking out the Parkitect devlog and even more rides are coming! The newest ones are Turbine and Mine Coaster. Even with Planet Coaster coming out I still love the classic feel of Parkitect, glad there will be even more stuff before it's full release! Go TexelRaptor!! The New Turbine Ride Mine Coaster
  23. Attention Planet Coaster players, on 12/15/16 around noon EST, expect a massive update to Planet Coaster including a new mascot, new scenarios, 4 new rides ( bumper cars, Christmas dark ride, new steam train, and Huss Enterprise) 7 new shops, and much more festive fun, the pictures of the new stuff looks amazing! This new update will also fix some of the bugs in the game, as well as adding stairs to catwalks, height indicators during construction, improved speakers, so much stuff!
  24. That definitely looks like a B&M diving coaster for the Ubisoft corner. For those unfamiliar with the Assassin's Creed video game series, the characters can get a view of the map they are in from atop very tall structures in the game which updates the map around them so the player can see the location of places and items. To exit these lookout locations, the character leaps from the building into a bale of hay or water to land safely. A stuntman was also seen filming this exact stunt for the upcoming film. These jumps were called "Leaps of Faith" I would not be surprised if this turned out to be the theme, if this is in fact an Assassin's Creed coaster.
