  1. Just as a general update, the area where Sesame Street will be built has been completely cleared. You can see the update here: http://www.bgescape.com/Gallery/index.php?cat=10713
  2. This is ludicrous. Anheuser-Busch is a leading contributor to conservation and Sea World's animals are extremely well taken care of by high qualified staff. The other day I was flipping through some youtube vids taken at Sea World, and I can't believe how many people comment about Sea World committing "animal cruelty" for making these animals "entertain" humans. Sea World educates its guests first, then entertains. The critics simply don't know what they're talking about. SWO has unmatched top-of-the-line rehabilitation facilities. Nobody ever mentions those...
  3. 1) Goliath 2) MindBender 3) Superman Ultimate Flight The rest isn't even worth noting, IMO
  4. 50th: Medusa (SFGAdv) 100th: Superman Ride of Steel (SFNE) 125th: SheiKra 150th: Dark Knight (SFGAdv) --- very proud of this one
  5. 2004: BORG Assimilator...sorta debut? 2005: Hydra: The Revenge 2006: El Toro 2007: Maverick 2008: Ravine Flyer II Fahrenheit Dark Knight Led Zeppelin Eagles Life in the Fast Lane Shake Rattle and Rollercoaster Slippery When Wet
  6. This year we waited over 30 minutes for Canyon Blaster at SFOG. I needed the credit, and I'll be damned if I drive 8 hours and don't get all the credits at a park
  7. Wood wins and makes for great inappropriate innuendo Awesome read. It made me miss Phoenix
  8. Skip Dorney, add Knoebels Oh, and skip The Great Mistake too
  9. ^I understand that steel structured woodies cost less than B&M's, I was referring to the entire venture that Voyage was for Holiday World. Sure it was more affordable, but it was still a monstrous addition. Maintenance is much more intensive with wooden coasters, too, so I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a large steel coaster built. They're much more of a convenient and singular investment
  10. wtf, all this hooplah for a pre-owned boomerang? lame... The worship line almost guarantees a Cobra-theme
  11. And Voyage made....sense? Plenty of family-owned parks have busted out of their shells and made large investments on large steel coasters. Kennywood and Blackpool are a few of the more noteable ones...
  12. I feel bad about HRP --- it had so much potential, but it just doesn't seem to be cutting it, yet. Hopefully they bounce back next season.
  13. 1) SFOG --- might have hit it on an awful day, but it had the absolute worst operations I've ever encountered at a park. So stressful, aggravating, and frustrating. I wanted to strangle somebody 2) SFA --- It's not called Six Flags Ghetto America for nothing 3) Great Escape --- just a crummy park with an overrated woodie
  14. Goliath - SFOG --- the park is absolute crap and operations are horrendous. Goliath and Mindbender are the only reasons I'd even begin to consider going back
  15. I'm dying to hear your definition of airtime. I agree. Apollo and Goliath have massive quantities of airtime --- are you just not a fan of the floater-air-variety, BeemerBoy? As for Diamondback, there's no way in hell anyone can determine the kind of airtime this thing will deliver until opening day. They all ride differently. Nitro, for example, sucks in my opinion.
  16. Favorite place to eat: Ristorante Della Piazza --- awesome chicken parm for a theme park =D Seats: Griffon -Don't bother on front row. Back row is best and oftentimes has the shortest line Apollo - Back row. Period Alpengeist - great views up front, but what forces the ride has to offer are found in the back Loch Ness - back row. Great ejector airtime. One of the last remaining drops to still surprise my stomach BBW - back left seat. Amazing forces on second drop. Classic ride. Try to get a few night rides on this beast.
  17. I lol'd You guys bitch way too much. This looks like a decent coaster to me. Apollo looks like a run-of-the-mill out and back at first yet delivers a world class experience. Get over yourselves and judge it once you ride...
  18. Looks like a crummy layout, but the bunnyhills have potential. WoF seems likely
  19. 1. Montu 2. DD:Fire 3. Top Gun: The Jet Coaster (aka Afterburn: The STD) 4. DD:Ice 5. Alpengeist
  20. If the Busch family does buy the parks, I can see them providing Anheuser-Busch InBev products only at their parks... they may even continue the Brewmaster's Club service, but more as a historical tribute to A-B's past
