  1. I thought it looked like the area between the 2nd and 3rd turn, after the first drop, on the 'Roaring Rapids side' of the path. I could be wrong though. The helicopters never zoomed out!
  2. Thanks for uploading this! Looks like everybody was having a great time!
  3. There was a 3.5 a week prior that was located over 50 miles away. I highly doubt that has anything to do with the tree. If I were to take an internet stab at it, I'd say that changed ground conditions due to the drought would be more accurate. More than likely, it's just a case of 'If a tree falls in the woods can a Ninja avoid it?' heyoo....
  4. I love opening days! I haven't been to one in so long! On another note, those were the least buff looking warriors I have ever seen
  5. I apologize if I missed it, but I recall reading that there was supposed to be some kind of effect on the Hogwarts Express entering the station platform. I'm not a Potter fan but I understand in the books and movies the platform is accessed via a wall between two platforms, and USH was going to emulate this experience. Can anybody explain what it's like?
  6. I hope this all clears up quickly. Ninja is one of my favorites in the park and one of the few low height restriction coasters. Very glad everybody was okay and that the car stayed attached to the train.
  7. Looks like a cool event! Is this geared more toward getting return visits out of locals? I can't imagine somebody on Vacation wanting to wait that long for a sing-along show. Then again people wait 300 minutes at DL to meet the Frozen princesses, so maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about
  8. SFMM used to have a numbered ticket system for really busy days, and they were VERY serious about it too. One of my friends bought a lemonade in line and accidentally threw away the ticket, and she was unable to ride when we got to the front. This particular case was on Riddlers Revenge, but I've seen it on Batman, Superman, and Psyclone (pre-suck). Personally, I don't see much line jumping anymore, and when I do, I just let it go. What they don't realize is that some mega bad vibes have just been sent their way lol.
  9. Cool report! Need to get out to the dreaded east coast to ride some of these beasts. Your description of i305 was....interesting!
  10. The new queue for Medusa Steel Coaster looks really long. I was watching a video and the first 7 or 8 minutes is them just walking through the queue.
  11. To be honest, the whole idea about a "classic" side and a more intense Iron Horse side of Colossus doesn't make much sense. Not only would it look strange, the Iron Horse side would be much more popular since the target audience of SFMM cares more about intensity than nostalgia. I agree 100% that a 'classic' side and a 'new' side sounds dumb, but I wouldn't say that the SFMM crowd likes intensity. I mean, even here on TPR people are total babies when it comes to GL.
  12. SFMM may have its problems but it is far from the 'worst' of anything out there. That being said, my lamest experiences have definitely been the many random pop-up carnivals that appear here in the Los Angeles area. Every park I've been to, I've managed to enjoy myself at so it would be tough for me to designate a 'worst.' Maybe the Santa Monica Pier? I liked Mundo Divertido in Tijuana, Mexico more than that, so I guess it takes the cake. The $9.95 Taco Bell is difficult to forget.
  13. hey hey hey I think you're right!!!! Except that I can swear the paint in the commercial was only one one side of the track. I need to see it again to confirm!
  14. I have been following this project for a while now and I just LOVE how the whole thing is turning out!!!
  15. Here's a rule that every enthusiast and DLAP needs to remember: If you hear the GP spouting off inaccurate information about a ride, do NOT interrupt their conversation and get all nerdy on them. It makes us all look bad.
  16. It is not Colossus. If you notice most of the rides and water slides in the commercial are not from MM/HH. I think it sucks if they're going to advertise that a ride is closing and come out and ride it one last time, they should at least show footage of the actual ride. Hmm, it must be that other white dual tracked wooden coaster with a slightly curved first drop.
  17. I just saw a SFMM commercial and the track on the lift hill on Colossus appears to be painted blue. Anybody know whats up?
  18. Not a coaster but thought I would mention the Rocket Rods at Disneyland only operated for 2 seasons and is still SBNO. I believe that's kinda rare for a Disney park to leave a major ride standing in plain sight that long.
  19. Cool start of the report! Customs has never taken me more than an hour at LAX, and often less. The one time it took an hour, we got stuck behind a plane full of entitled drunks that had just returned from Cabo San Lucas. Can't wait to see more, I love reports from around my area
  20. For your personal record, the picture on Splash Mountain is of the 1st drop, right after you pass the cave with the snoring bear.
  21. ^In my experience, I don't really notice rain affecting crowd levels at Disneyland. Other parks, yes, but I have seen some crazy crowds there on rainy days.
  22. I like how they spelled 'sucks' wrong and had to fix it. Keepin' it classy!
  23. Any promotions outside of getting yourself into the park are only valid at the park you purchased the pass at. So, in short, no, you cannot use the friend coupons at SFGAdv.
  24. This is totally useless but it made me laugh. Buzzfeed <---Clicky
