Wow.... Just...WOW! That is some amazing theming and architecture! I can see they used forced perspective on Hogwarts to their advantage. This place is absolutely amazing! Thank you for putting up the trip report! -
LittleBIGPlanet for the PSP....such awesomeness!
-
I have played a demo of LittleBIGPlanet for the Playstation Portable. It looks okay, it's kind of fun, and it's only $20 at my local GameStop. But is it worth it (especially since there is a LittleBIGPlanet 2 in the works)?

Really? It says on the Disney Parks Blog that the Fastpass machines will give you tickets for the first showing and then the second showing, and once those run out that's it. Unless I missed another article... As for the Glow Fest, while that would serve as an effective holding pen, you still would have the problems of people trying to fight the crowds to go on the rides...

I wrote an article about this on FaceBook, but I'll paraphrase it here on TPR. There are several reasons why I think this is a bad idea. First, I never really was too big on the idea on FASTPASS for shows. I am aware that they have put FASTPASS on shows at Walt Disney World (such as HISTA, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, It’s Tough to Be a Bug) and there haven’t been any complaints as far as I’m concerned. But see, FASTPASS can work on those attractions because they have rather large capacities. For “World of Color,” it’s not that simple. Now, most average park-goers I talk to think that the best way to help the crowds is to add FASTPASS. Unfortunately, the FASTPASS system doesn’t work like that. A FASTPASS attraction (whether it’s a ride or a show) can only give out a select number of tickets a day. It all depends on the ride’s capacity and its popularity. What this means for “World of Color” is that it can only give out a few FASTPASSes for the day. Now as I am writing this, the plan is to only give out 4,000 FASTPASS tickets a day, 2,000 for each show time. Obviously, there’s going to be more than 4,000 people who is going to want to see this show, so FASTPASS tickets are going to sell out very quickly. In fact, I won’t be surprised if after fifteen minutes after the park has opened, I find that the FASTPASS tickets have all been sold out. That’s not the only problem. Not only will the cast members have to direct the traffic after Paradise Pier closes, they will also have to create some sort of “holding pen” for people waiting to get into the amphitheater. Then, they’ll have to sort everyone out and make sure only the people with reservations are allowed into the amphitheater. Team Disney Anaheim thinks this will help the crowd control problems, but really, as I said before, they are making it worse. And I should mention that by making the amphitheater exclusive to FASTPASS holders, people who couldn’t get a FASTPASS will have to find a spot somewhere else. They will feel like they’re being discriminated against, just because they were not enough FASTPASS tickets to go around. Let me put it this way... Imagine if Soarin’ over California decided that, for one day, they’re going to get rid of the Stand-by line, which means that if you wanted to ride Soarin’, you had to obtain a FASTPASS ticket. Now, just like with “World of Color,” these tickets are limited and they sell out quick. And once the FASTPASSes run out and you didn’t get one, tough break. Maybe you’ll have better luck next time. How would you feel if Disney actually did that? How would you feel if you couldn’t ride Soarin’ over California because you weren’t quick enough to get a FASTPASS ticket before they run out? You would feel miserable, right? Well, that’s what I’m getting from the “World of Color” FASTPASS idea. Overall, I think FASTPASS for “World of Color” is a terrible idea and I hope that after a short run, Disney will abandon the idea. -----space "thank goodness I have the Deluxe AP" mtfan

I think FASTPASS for the World of Color is a bad idea. I know they want to avoid crowding and bottlenecking problems, but I think this is making it a WHOLE LOT worse. I have reread that Disney Parks Blog over and over and I still can't make any sense of it. I understand how distribution works, but I still can't seem to figure out how this is supposed to help with crowding. And they do offer options for people who want to reserve their spots, but how about those who don't want to hassle with that and just sit their blankets down and reserve a spot like that. Either way, I think it would be best if I saw this in the off-season or whenever it would be easiest to see the show...

One thing that I have gradually learned over time...I absolutely hate the DMV's in California... Take yesterday for example. I scheduled an appointment to renew my Drivers' permit. When I get to the DMV, I see an horrifyingly long line to get inside the building. I get inside the building, and I say that I have an appointment. The lady at the front desk hands me a number and I sit down. I look at the slip and I realize she gave me a non-appointment number. Not to mention, it was close to 4 p.m. (which after 4 p.m. they stop issuing the written test). I told the lady at the front desk about this and she handed me another slip, this time an appointment card and she told me I can go and take the written test, even if it is after 4 p.m. So I go over to the exam area and I walk up to the counter. But then, some really confusing stuff goes on and I just grew tired of it. So I left... I seriously think the DMV needs to get their crap organized and they need to look up the definition of "customer satisfaction," because clearly they have no clue what it means. ----space "damn DMV" mtfan

Yes, Snorlax is in HeartGold/SoulSilver.

Pokemon SoulSilver has been taking up a lot of my time. I have just arrived in the Kanto region and only beaten Lt. Surge. In addition, I have been having problems with my Sony PSP and its battery. Looks like it's time for me to get a new one...hopefully, the 3000 series...

It's a shame to see something like this happen. And although no one was hurt, you have to admit that the picture really makes it look like they were in a precarious situation. On the plus side, nobody was seriously hurt, the evacuation occurred without any problems, and once everything is figured out, the park/manufacturer can work so that this won't happen again... -
I'm really happy to hear that "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience" will finally be eradicated from all Disney Parks! Just saw the show again for the second time this past Sunday and I can never get bored of it. I really do wish that Disney would bring back all of the special effects from the original show, seeing as how Captain E.O. is going anywhere anytime soon...

I don't understand why so many people are happy that Freestyle Music Park is closing. I mean, granted: the management sucked, the flat rides were just newer and cleaner versions of stuff found at the Ghetto Fair, the park lacked attractions (and even the headliners weren't anything too special), advertising was minimal so people didn't even know the park existed, Nights in White Satin was even chessier than DCA's Superstar Limo (though Limo was a GOOD kind of cheesy), the park could be finished in less than three hours, and the park seemed unfinished... But...um......well...... At least it's not Fuji-Q Highland! ---space "BTW that was sarcasm" mtfan

Leave it to the Tokyo Disney Resort to take something as simple as a Flying Carpet ride... ...AND MAKE IT SO BEAUTIFUL LOOKING! Seriously, the architecture and theming of the ride really does look like something built for Taj Mahal palace grounds! ---space "Tokyo Disney's done it again" mtfan -

I thought the same thing! This looks like a decent addition, almost like a Toy Story version of "a bug's land" from DCA...only much better because it's not "a bug's land." -

After watching the video and looking through the pictures, to me, it looks like a supersized version of Knott's Berry Farm's Jaguar/Pony Express, with a bonus of the track dropping section, some indoor elements, and a backwards ride. It seems like a decent medium-sized family coaster, but I don't think it would be something I would hate in a long line for...
