24 Days of Theme Park Review Videos!
spacemtfan replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like how the Spook-o-Rama looks like something I can make in Roller Coaster Tycoon -
I'm working on a recreation of the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster avec Aerosmith from Walt Disney Studios. I'm starting to work on the light show and it's turning out to be REALLY good! I'm so happy!

24 Days of Theme Park Review Videos!
spacemtfan replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's a shame to see Nara Dreamland close. It was a hilariously-ghetto park that we can't just help but laugh at its cheese factor. Do you know what they are going to do with Aska, the wooden roller coaster? -
I have quite a few pet peeves... 1) Annoying middle-schoolers and below being obnoxious and disgusting (burping in your face, etc.)...one time while waiting in line for Space Mountain, these kids were messing around to the point of almost tripping through one of the emergency doors. 2) Mothers trying to kill me with strollers after fireworks/Fantasmic...seriously mothers, trying to mow down thousands of people won't relieve the congestion... 3) People taking flash photography on rides like the Haunted Mansion and Pirate of the Caribbean...even after the cast members constantly tell them not to, they still do it! 4) Parents forcing their crying kids on rides that they clearly do not want to ride...especially on rides like Indiana Jones Adventure and Tower of Terror. I mean, a trip to Disneyland should be a magic trip for them, not one that will scar them for life! 5) People who almost cause rides like Space Mountain and Matterhorn to be backed up...seriously, do you need to take a picture of yourself in the rockets?!? 6) Disgusting bathroom stalls...people who don't flush, pee rings/floors...BLEH! 7) People who argue with cast members when their groups are being separated...after going through the single-rider line...what part of SINGLE did they not comprehend? 8) Littering in waiting lines...last time I went to Knott's, there was a puddle of Gatorade in the waiting line for Jaguar. A very sad thing to see... 9) Parents yelling/scolding their kids in public...parents should know that yelling at their kids in public not only ruins their fun, but also of those around them. 10) Park guests who get angry and go crazy if the fireworks at Disneyland get cancelled...while I'm just as annoyed, I can't help but look down upon the tipping of trash cans... Well...those are my top 10 park peeves from regular park guests...

What is your favorite Roller Coaster?
spacemtfan replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
By parks that I have been to: 1. Space Mountain at Disneyland Park 2. California Screamin' at Disney's California Adventure Park 3. GhostRider at Knott's Berry Farm 4. SCREAM at Six Flags Magic Mountain I wish to visit more parks in the future, maybe on a TPR trip. I also want to go back to Six Flags and ride X2 and Terminator -
Most Overrated coaster?
spacemtfan replied to BlackWidow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I know I was originally scared of this ride, but after riding Batman: The Ride, I would say Silver Bullet at Knott's is pretty overrated. -
On my last visit (11-24-2009), when I waiting for them to get the ride back up after it temporarily went 101, I couldn't help but notice that most rockets had about 1-3 empty seats...and seeing as how this ride sees long wait times on an almost daily basis, it got me thinking... ... ...why isn't there a single ride line for Space Mountain? It would be perfect if they decided to add a single-rider line to Space Mountain? It would provide people going to ride by themselves a short wait. Now, I told this to a cast member, but she said that it would be impossible to add one 'due to operational matters'. I always figured that a single-rider line would work if single riders would enter through the exit, similar to how the handicap board the attraction. But instead of using the seperate loading station, they would wait by the front of the line until they are called. I don't see any flaws with it, but then again, I don't fully understand how the attraction's boarding procedures work. What does everyone else think?

I haven't ridden the WDW version yet, but I'm glad that they only made minor changes. The refurbishments on the other Space Mountain rides, although they're awesome, bare little resemblances to their original attractions. Thankfully, now I still have a chance to ride the first-ever Space Mountain whose refurbishments didn't completely ruin the experience. Though like you said Robb, a sound system would be nice...

I sang Karoake at my anime club today. Who would have thought that me singing Yellow Submarine would get me 100 out of 100!

Halloweentime at Disneyland
spacemtfan replied to ECZenith's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yesterday I finally managed to go to Disneyland and the first ride we wanted to check out was Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy. Thankfully, it was only a 30 minute wait. That ride was so much! It was a very neat overlay for the attraction, although when the ghost was projected onto the walls, you could see a box of light surrounding him...and it shows up before the ghost does. Kind of ruins the effect of him surprising you. I also managed to check out the ride at night, when they started doing the light shows on Space Mountain. They were cool to look at, but they were extremely loud! I was amazed at how many people were there, just standing in front of the Mountain, waiting to see what happens next. Overall, it was great that they brought something from HKDL to California and it was fun overlay that I wish will come back next year. -
I know how you feel. What's worse is that if I don't get better by tomorrow, I can't go to Disneyland! And that means I can't go on Ghost Galaxy!

Theme Park Review's "Halloween in Orlando" 2009

Hey Robb, how is Toy Story Mania in Florida the "good Mania"? -
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/12/education/12discipline.html?no_interstitial Umm...for some reason, the parents are upset that their 6-year-old kid got suspended for carrying a swiss-army knife. To me, that is a bit hypocritical, since parents were the ones who asked for the zero-tolerance and then when they actually do enforce it, they start complaining about their kid getting expelled! Are you serious? WTF?!? Parents, you asked for the zero-tolerance policy! So don't come crying when your kid gets suspended for carrying an item that actually could be used as a weapon!!

Halloweentime at Disneyland
spacemtfan replied to ECZenith's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Actually Robb, I knew that Ghost Galaxy was first introduced at Hong Kong Disneyland. I was so excited to find out that it was coming to Disneyland in California. But you see, there aren't a lot of videos or pictures of HKDL's Ghost Galaxy (even HKDL Source didn't have any good pictures of Ghost Galaxy), so I can see why people wouldn't know that this was at HKDL first. -

I have yet to check out the new Halloween additions at Disneyland, but judging from YouTube videos, both the new fireworks show and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy look amazing! I can't wait to experience the new stuff when next time I go to Disneyland. -
The big news for anime fans today is that Naruto Shippudden is going to air on television...on Disney X-D! A lot of people are in uproar. I'm just hoping they don't do anything stupid...like censoring the action scenes or changing the voice actors...or getting rid of the Japanese culture. I have a good feeling they will.

Like many other people, I am very upset with Kanye West's actions at the Video Music Awards last night. He had no right to interrupt Taylor Swift's moment in the spotlight. But kudos to Beyone for giving Taylor back her moment... --space "the MJ tribute was pretty amazing" mtfan

Right now, I'm playing Pokemon X D: Gale of Darkness for the Gamecube. Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver came out in Japan a few days ago and I can't wait for it to come out in Spring 2010.
