The Official TPR "East Coast/Behemoth Trip" Update
spacemtfan replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
The Mr. Rogers does seem cool. The Confusion Hill ride reminds of the Ghost House at Knott's. I wonder why they got rid of them? -
Just throwing it out there, anyone think that the upcoming movie "Death Race" is a ripoff of the Twisted Metal games? I mean, I know it's a remake of the 2000 movie, but the trailer made me think that it was supposed to be a Twisted Metal movie. Anyone else thinks that, too?

Anyone on here like anime or manga?
spacemtfan replied to iluvalbinos's topic in Random, Random, Random
I am a huge fan of anime. In fact, in the future, I plan on building an anime-based theme park. Right now, I'm mixing Twisted Metal with anime characters. I know. I'm a freak! But then again, everyone on TPR is! -
I have a quick question that I need to know for my Grad Nite Explosion RCT3. During the pirates segment of "Remember...Dreams Come True", there are two fireworks that fly high in the air. One of them is fired from the top of the Matterhorn, I need to know where the other one is fired from. I always thought it was from BTM, but I think I'm wrong. Thanks a bunch!

^ I think I found another quote from the same skit: "I can't imagine why they wouldn't use the word COCKPIT, especially with all of those stewardesss going in and out!" ---LOL! The best line ever heard!

Oh great, first George Carlin, then Bernie Mac, and now Issac Hayes. Why are all of the good people dying?!?

[RCT3] Grad Nite Explosion
spacemtfan replied to spacemtfan's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I added another preview of my Grad Nite Explosion on my YouTube account. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVc9rNYlHc0&watch_response Enjoy! -
This has been bugging me for days, but I remember when Knott's used to have a nighttime laser show that took place over where the Lake of Reflections used to be. It was kind of cool and I wanted to see if YouTube had any clips of it, but I found nothing. Anyone remember what it was called?

I don't know Elissa. I mean, ever since Katrina happened at New Orlenans, I think I'll take earthquakes more than a hurricane.

I sure as hell felt it. First it was a quick jolt and I was like "What the hell was that?" And then the house kept shaking. Nothing damaged though. I was watching ABC 7 and everyone at Disneyland was evacuated from the rides (and though they didn't mention it, I'm sure Knott's and Magic Mountain were affected though). I am just glad most people here are safe. Hey Robb, is KidTums okay?

Hey everybody! I'm back with a new project that I hope everybody will enjoy. I know I have been gone from RCT3 for a while. I've been on kind of a coaster block. Everything I tried thinking of either wasn't going to work out or it would be so ugly that the guys from Atari Community would flame it to death. But I decided to start with something small...a fireworks show. With me now is a teaser for my next RCT3 project. Since no one hasn't tried it yet, I'm going to try and somewhat recreate Grad Nite Explosion in RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. Note that THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER DONE A SYNCHRONIZED FIREWORKS SHOW. In other words, the final version will be SO much better. Enjoy the teaser! http://youtube.com/watch?v=Dq7vvc-KtP4 Please try not to criticize it too much. Helpful advice is okay, but don't say anything bad like "You Suck" or "Leave Visions Fantastic, you loser" (what am I saying? You guys aren't that mean). Just a quick note, although this show is inspired by the Grad Nite Explosion fireworks show that takes place at Disneyland, I'm not using the same songs as the 2008 version (none of those songs I recognize). I'm going to use my own songs. I plan to use: 1. Youth of the Nation by POD 2. You Spin Me Round 3. Walking' on the Sun by Smash Mouth 4. Numa Numa 5. Newton 6. My Humps by Black-Eyed Peas 7. Like Toy Soldiers by Eminem (only chorus will be used) 8. Hide Me With Your Best Shot If you would like to suggest any songs, you may do so in your post or PM a song list. Disney-approved songs please.

Fuji-Q Highlands Discussion Thread
spacemtfan replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It may look cool, but since it's going to Fuji-Q Highland...well, something in my gut tells me that this will suck somehow. -
^ You may be right. LOL!

I'm so sad that George Carlin had died. Before I knew him as a comedian, I first found out about him as Mr. Conductor from Thomas & Friends. That role would influenced my childhood. Goodbye, Mr. Conductor!

Oh man did I have a strange dream... I was on a school field trip to a weird park. It was kind of a mix between Walt Disney Studios Paris and Six Flags Magic Mountain. It had rides from both parks (albeit ghetto-fied) and all the rides seemed like they were plotted down like rides from Fuji-Q Highland! Anyway, the first ride I tried to ride was what I think was a ghetto Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. The trains were the same, but there was no light show, it was completey dark! It played "Sweet Emotion" until the end when it cutted out. The CM at the end noticed this and said "Ah crap! Music's dead agian. Hold on." The CM pushed a button that made the train go backwards up the final brake run. Then it went forward again once the end music came back. Weird... Next was my favorite part of the dream...X2 on drugs! What happened was that X2 just happened to appear in the middle of the day in the middle of the park. It had the same track layout as its' real life counterpart. I got on, but before the ride began, a CM came by with syringes and stuck it in our necks. Then the trains moved out and everything was getting trippy. The ride began reforming itself. The music was the same as the real version. But at the bottom of the first hill, the train suddenly plunges into the earth down to Hell. It looked like something from the X2 commericals. Then, the brake run appeared...the music changed to Rage Against the Machine, and if you looked up...the track looked as if it had never changed. Weird...I got a lot more if anyone wants to hear them.

Silver Bullet question
spacemtfan replied to spacemtfan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Alright so, I went on Silver Bullet yesterday. And...I LOVED IT!! The ride was very fun with a lot of force during the inversions. Though, one of the inline twists gave me a big headache, but other than that the ride was great. Thank you all for helping me. By riding this coaster, I now have ridden my first B&M coaster. A lot of you say that this isn't the wildest B&M invert, and well...I have no way of knowing if it is since the only two parks I have access to are Disneyland and Knott's. Maybe someday when I get older, I can go to Magic Mountian or take a trip with TPR. But for now, Silver Bullet's my only source for B&M goodness. So, I won;t really need this thread anymore. Can one of the moderators close it for me, please? -
Silver Bullet question
spacemtfan replied to spacemtfan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Actually, I HAVE been on Montezooma's Revenge and GhostRider (only a little rough, not as bad as people said it was). The only thing I don't like about Silver Bullet is that your feet are dangling. The only ride that I have been on where my feet were dangling was Soarin', and that ride was tame. I might have to do Silver Bullet. GhostRider, Xecelrator, and Silver Bullet are the three big coasters at Knott's. Sadly, GhostRider's closed and I hate Xcelerator, so Silver Bullet's my only big coaster to ride. -
Silver Bullet question
spacemtfan replied to spacemtfan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Really? I always thought that Batman coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain was tamer than Silver Bullet. -
Silver Bullet question
spacemtfan replied to spacemtfan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Riding Pony Express over and over sounds like a good idea. That was a joke! Plus, I don't know who zues is. I know who Zeus is! Maybe you should know how to spell! -
I'm going to Knott's Berry Farm on Friday and I never been on Silver Bullet before. Is it a scary ride? I been on all of the coasters at Disneyland and California Adventure. I just wanted to know.

Six Flags Magic Mountain X2 Campout!
spacemtfan replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I haven't been on X2 yet but how exactly did they change the loading procedure, compared to the old X. -
I know that many of us want to own our own theme park someday (or never). The fact that everyone has to bow down before us and do whatever we say attracts the park manager in all of us. But there are some parks out there makes you think..."I can do a hell of a lot better job than these guys can." I think one example of a park that I can defintely do better with is Fuji-Q Highland. I would revamp all of the three big coasters so that they are cooler and they would have higher capacities than they do now. So my question is...what park would you like to take control of? NOTE: Although this may seem unfair, do not say Disney or Universal Studios. Chances are, you're never take control of THOSE parks.
