  1. That is a LOT of music from video games, but I agree. Most video games have some epic music that would fit with any coaster. I don't know why, but I always thought that Obie Trice's "Got Some Teeth" would fit with a ride like the Manhattan Express coaster. Does anyone agree? EDIT: I just realized that the music from "Pack Attack" in Crash Bandicoot 2 fits perfectly with a ride like Space Mountain!
  2. So...how does the music go on this ride? From the YouTube videos, this is what I was able to conjure up: -At the beginning, Frank Sintra plays until it gets stopped on the chain lift. -On the chain lift, the beginning part of Enter Sandman plays. -Halfway up, it switches to a heartbeating sound while somebody is counting down. -At the top some guy sounds "We are high up!" -And then...GOOOOIIINNNNGGGG DOWN! And then after that, wind gets in the way that's its impossible to hear the music. Anyone want to help me, please?
  3. Oh geez, you see the thing is...I'm going to attempt to recreate X2 on RCT3 and I was wondering if anyone has the lyrics or how the music is set-up so that I can do an accurate recreation.
  4. Sorry, but Rockin' Both Parks was only for January 2007-April 2007 season. Since most people hated people with a passion, it wil probably never come back.
  5. Yes. Led Zeppelin: The Ride plays "Whole Lotta Love" and the other plays "Life in the Fast Life." I prefer listening to the acutal Rockin' Both Parks remixes that were used on the ride, but that's juts me.
  6. One more quesiton regarding the X2 music...is it ALL the songs mixed into one song or is it the individual song for each train (one train plays Enter Sandman, another Aerosmith, etc.)?
  7. Now I know that some rides have Space Mountain and California Screamin' have on-board audio systems that pump music throughout the whole ride. Recently, X2 has been given audio systems as well. But some rides, as good or bad they are, offer no such music on-board and taking your IPod on-board can be risky. However, if you're brave enough to risk your IPod's life, what song do you usually listen to on-ride? NOTE: Do NOT say "Final Countdown". We all know it fits with any coaster.
  8. How loud are the speakers on X2? Is it like "can barely hear it" or is it "so loud, you cna hear it if you stand under the ride"?
  9. It seems like having an on-board sound system is a coaster standard nowadays. Hey Robb, what songs do they play on X2?
  10. Is it really going to get so close to the water that it splashes or is it just some effect that they put on imgaes to make it cooler? But hey! It looks nice a nive tame B&M flyer.
  11. Although I don't really like the music that much (then again, I'm not a Zeppelin fan), the coaster looks really good! Is the music like California Screamin, where you can hear the bass standing under it?
  12. I'm taking bets on how long it takes for the Goliath colors to become dinghy. I kid! But the colors on the coaster look very bright! At least they aren't naming it Batman and are least changing the colors and name to make it look different from the Batman coasters.
  13. I'm sorry, but can someone tell me why they are delaying the Dark Knight Coaster? Does this have to do with Heath Leadger's death?
  14. Thomas Town looks cool! I hope Magic Mountain is at least half as good as this one is. The Troublesome Trucks coaster ride looks awesome!
  15. Appraently before WrestleMania XXIV, Mick Foley, Rey Mysterio, Curt Hawkins, and Zack Ryder headed over to Universal's Islands of Adventures. Here's the link to the article: www.wwe.com/shows/wrestlemania/exclusives/gammraid
  16. 1. What do you find most useful about the front page? A: I like how you put trip updates on the left and any new updates on the right. 2. What do you find least useful about the front page? A: Ummm...that's a toughie. Everything is pretty useful to me. Basically, I would like to see just some comestic changes. Leave everything as it is, just freshen it up with donkeys or coasters or something like that.
  17. Disneyland Resort charter bus bursts into flames on freeway Disney sure knows how to heat things up. I mean that bus driver must been really burnin' rubber. It just goes to show that Disney can really light up any occasion. Seriously though, I hope everybody's alright.
  18. Hmmmm....Rockit sounds like a really fun coaster. Something tells me they got the name from a certain hated overlay at Disneyland. It looks like the concept with Hollywood Dream: The Ride in USJ is being plussed to add loops and a vertical lift. This is something I'm looking forward to.
  19. How they got that impression is beyond me How did they get that impression?
  20. I have one quick question: I am a 16-year-old trying to gather some coin for the Europe trip. Will I be the only 16-year-old on the trip? It seems like there are a lot of adults on the past trips (nothing wrong with that).
  21. First of all, Happy 1st Birthday KidTums! Hope you had fun! Second, the new dark ride looks very cool. The vehicles (to me) kind of looks like a cross between the Indy vehicles and Mr. Toad. Looks nice though! But I wonder why they didn't built the TOGO death machine for the LEGO New York New York hotel?
  22. Yeah, and right now I have a tough time convincing my parents to let me go on the trip mainly because she has seen pictures of your past TPR trips and she says that "you guys are weird." So...yeah. PLus, she wants to know what the weather's like over in Europe. -------- Also, I noticed that in most of the TPR Trip Reports and DVD's there aren't really many 16-year-olds. If I do go on the trip, am I going to be the only 16-year-old?
  23. Hey Robb, listen I really want to do one of these TPR trips (and it's going to be during summer vacation, which for me is perfect timing!) but I'm having a hard time convicing my mom to let me go. The cheaper option sounds great except for the part that said "No Disneyland Paris". Don't get me wrong, the other parks sound like fun, but Disneyland Paris (to me) is one of the headliners of the tour. Is there anyway that I can still go on the trip and not miss out on Disneyland Paris? I'm willing to give up Efteling, Drievliet, Schloobeck, and Tripsdrill. Thanks! ---spacemtfan
  24. Wow, almost everyone that voted likes Love in an Elevator/Walk This Way the most. Isn't it ironic that "Love in an Elevator" plays on this ride when Tower of Terror is next door?
  25. Well since everyone was showing off their roller coaster memorabilia, I figured I'd jump on this bandwagon. I've been a Disneyland AP for two-three years. I looked through my bedroom drawers and I under the...magazines and clothes...I found a lot of Disneyland/coaster memorabilia. Check it out! NOTE: Some pictures have really bad quality. I apologize in advance. Plus, some are not in order. My many, many, many Disneyland maps First one of the bunch, this was back in February of 2005 when they had the Mickey Statues set up around DCA. Entertainment schedules throughout the years This was when Snow White was in the Fantasyland Theatre These (I think) were the first 50th anniversary maps, both showing the new parades at each park. The one on the left is probably my favorite map of all. It just said it all back then..."It's Back!" My holiday maps from (left to right) 2005, 2006, and 2007. These were the Halloween maps I collected of 2007 (I think). This was the map that was presented in the HalloweenTime parties at DCA. I didn't go to the event, but I was lucky to find on on the floor. The candy corn showed the "trick-or-treat" stations distributed through the parks. The back of the maps, showing the events going on. On the same map, they advertised Disneyland Holiday for 2006 and that thing that everyone I know seemed displeased with... This is my second and third favorite maps in the group. Despite the criticism, I really enjoyed the two and I wished they kept Rockin' California Screamin'. Rockin' Both Parks was advertised evyerwhere! It was even posted on the attractions themselves! Monsters Inc. moved into DCA where Superstar Limo used to be. And then...Jack Sparrow invaded the POTC ride at Disneyland. 2007 brought back the Submarine Voyage, but this time Nemo and Friends would join the voyage. The first of many years that the subs have graced a Disneyland map. Then, High School Musical invades DCA...sadly. But then Stormtroopers heads over to Tomorrowland, looking for Dan! Mommy, I want to join the dark side! Before my AP expired, I collected a few bilingual Disney maps. So.........is this Chinese or Japanese? I also kept those AP Backstage Magazines that they send in the mail. Books talking about Disneyland A newspaper advertisement for Rockin' Both Parks and the 2Fer ticket DCA postcards They send me this in the mail about a month before the 50th Anniversary began. Inside that little booklet But...I also collected a few other roller coaster stuff. Books that go behind the scenes of Disney World Imagineering (they don't have the Disney's Hollywood Studios yet). A few Unofficial Guides TPR DVD's, which by the way are on sale now for $10! This book talks about the history of coasters... Hope you liked it!
