Parc Saint Paul...
christianscoasters replied to DarkStitch626's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
http://www.rcdb.com/ig2387.htm?picture=2 This picture was linked earlier. Look at the front wheel, first car on YOUR right (riders left). It's not even on the tracks!!! Now look at car 2 maybe 3. The safety wheel on the bottom is kinda far from the track. This ride has to be one of the roughest out there. -

Those restraints look like they just threw metal together. Where's the soft and cuddly harnesses we've come to know and love? -

That place does have some pretty messed up coasters. Especially Telepherique. I've never seen a suspended spinning stand-up before. The Wild Train is pretty wierd too. P.S. I think we need to have an official thread for parks with "messed-up" coasters. I've seen several frequently. -

Woah! Totally diggin' the skyline shots! The ride looks massive. Is it really that big compared to other GCI's? -

I found TPR on google when I searched for "roller coaster videos". I was always watching the videos and looking at pics and I then decided to join the forums. Best idea of my life! TPR is officially my second home. -

Well, almost everyone in my school likes coasters, but they don't like them like you, me, or anybody else here. My friend might be considered a coaster buff. He knows a couple elements like zero-g-roll and companies like S&S. But he isn't one that is always on TPR or some other site. -

Man, I REALLY wish I could have gone there. Another thing, NOBODY at my school likes roller coasters. At least YOU have a friend that does. You suck. -

Looking good! I would put in a chairlift or something on top of it. Can we have a rides list? -
A new amusement park!

Were you even thinking when you said that? Every place has natural disasters. California has earthquakes, tsunmai's, and sometimes they can have volcanoes even in the surrounding areas. I see a heck of a lot of parks there. And Florida. They have hurricanes. They have Disney World, BGA, Sea World and a LOT more. In conclusion, I think that every place has something to worry about. Oh yeah, like I've said before, I live about 10-15 minutes away from Wild West World. I have NEVER seen a tornado in my life. The only other city I've lived in is Wichita. And that's about 20 minutes away from me. Sure, we have tornado warnings and watches, but I have never witnessed one close to me. Now I'm not saying that we don't have tornadoes, but they are very rare to touchdown. What about all them parks in Texas? Oklahoma? Anywhere? -
A new amusement park!

I just read on the site about the "giant roller coaster" coming in 2009, but how do you know its going to be a woodie? Does anyone know anything about it? I'm not going to go all the way up their just for a cheap spinning coaster, but if this turns out, I might just have to hike up there. Also, anyone have any updates or photos of the park? I know that it's a woodie because the owners will tell you. We emailed WWW with some random question like a year ago or so and they gave us a little more info including the fact that if attendance numbers are high in the first couple years, they hope to bring in a giant wooden coaster. For ya'll wantin' an update: It looks as if all rides are up. The spinner looks near completed, if not finished, and you can see the supports for the log flume still under construction. 77th st. is the back road for Wild West World. We drove back there one time (I want to move there) and the rides are right on the road. I can't stress it enough how small the ferris wheel is. It does look cool though. They have all of the covered wagon coaches on the wheel and they are all pretty cool. I haven't yet seen the Wacky Worm, but I've been looking. Walking up to the JW theater, the park looks GORGEOUS!!! The path connecting the walkway to the park wasn't even under construction yet, so I could only see a small bit. -
Ohhhhh. No wonder!

^Flashback was closed about three years ago (according to rcdb). They left it sitting because it was too noisy right next to HH. I'm not sure if that's why, but I am 90% confident that was somewhat right. Psyclone opened in 1991. I didn't know B&M made wooden trains! ^^Nice pic snuggles! Um, why snuggles? Anyway, I thought the whole concept picture was cool. Now why couldn't this have happened earlier? I'm confuzzled.
