not to label anyone (no offence meant ) but Jeff Johnson will probably count this as a new credit again I mean no offence. -
Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces "X2"
KingOfNynex2003 replied to Loco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Seems pretty cool but I wonder if we could count it as a new credit because that'll make my non-existent credit count climb a little bit higher but I doubt it will count as a new credit. -
What sort of disability? The parks all have standard policies on how they deal with different disabilities and you should check those out for each park. I would be more concerned with letting us know what your disability is and if/how we can accommodate you. I have FAS (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome) it doesn't effect me any way it's just I can't drink a drop of alcohol if I do I either will break out in a rash or I'll get dependant on it with one sip and eventually kill myself trying to find more alcohol I don't know exactly which one but I don't want to chance it but the disability that pertains to me waiting in lines at theme/amusement parks is I had an operation on my legs 14 years ago and a side effect was if I stand in one place for more than 10 minutes my legs will collapse underneath me so if I stand in the Kingda Ka or El Toro line chances are that I'll probably collapse if the line doesn't keep moving continually. But an upside to it is whenever I go to a park I pretty much get ERT on every coaster I want to go onto with an extra 1-3 people with me.

Well at least the number 1 coaster will hopefully be up and running because I'm actually thinking I might come to this event but the only problem is I don't have a clue how I'm going to save up about $4500 (that's including airfare as well) for this trip because there is no way I'm going to sit in coach for 9.5 hours to fly from Vancouver to Philadelphia in a sardine can. Also I would like to come badly because as you can see my coaster count is pretty much non-existent right now and if I come to this trip my coaster count will be a heck of a lot bigger.

Hey Robb I don't know if you know this yet but from what I've heard from a fellow ACEr that SFNE's Superman Ride Of Steel coaster as of now is closed indefinitely or until Six Flags decides to bring it back into operation but who knows how long that'll be because take a look at how long X was down at SFMM but you never know they might bring it back into operation before the trip.

a lot of www.rcdb.com 's coasters also display the height requirements. I dunno about size, if you're have trouble getting into coasters in IE your home park, there might me some coaster you won't be able to ride. If you never had problems with size, you have problems now. (except on kiddies or other weird rides). Thanks for the reply and I know about rcdb already and know every height minimum and height maximum on some of the coasters that we'd be going onto and my homepark I have no problems getting onto the coasters as there are only 4 one of them being a kiddie coaster but I can't get onto one of the HUSS frisbee rides but only because the rideops were instructed not to push down on the restraint anymore because a stupid rideop last year caused somebody to go to the hospital or something because they pushed down the restraint too hard on the person but that doesn't matter to me anymore because I don't really like that ride anyways but last year when I went to Knott's Berry Farm I was going to go onto the Excelerator coaster over there but the seatbelt was an 1/8th of an inch from locking so I didn't get onto it.

This is for everyone on this thread. I am planning on coming to the East Coast USA trip next year and I was wondering if anyone on here would know the weight and size restrictions for the coasters at any of the parks we'd be visiting I have e-mailed each of these places almost a month ago asking them this same question and none of them have e-mailed me back yet and I doubt they ever will so if anyone on here could tell me if they know the weight or size restrictions any of these parks have that would be great. Sincerely, KingOfNynex2003

^^Well from what I've heard from one of the ride managers at Magic Mountain (I don't remember his name) that's one of the most prominent reasons they go with B&M coasters over Intamin coasters because they want to have almost every person going onto their rides and not all tourist based people from other countries that's one of the reasons I prefer the Six Flags chain over the Cedar Fair chain because from what I've seen from their parks they have rose-colored glasses that prohibit them from seeing how big a fair bit of America is they think that every person in America is skinny but if they watched shows like The Biggest Loser and Honey We're Killing The Kids! they'd see that definitely isn't true.
-
^^If you take a look at Six Flags coasters you can see they mostly like to stay with B&M coasters over Intamin coasters because they want more people that live near the parks to go onto it without worrying too much if they can fit onto it or not with Intamin coasters a lot of fairly overweight people (any person over 240) would have a bigger dificulty getting onto those coasters rather than a B&M coaster because they're more lenient on bigger people going onto their rides.

The reason I like this coaster so much is because of that incident they had on it where that lady died on this ride I'm not saying I'm glad somebody died on it it's just that it makes me feel "hey that could be me that happens to." for some reason coasters that have actually killed someone seem more scarier than any other coaster you go onto I went onto every single coaster at MM last year and I didn't feel nervous on any of them except for Goliath and I got onto everyone excluding Flashback as it's been SBNO for a number of years now.
-
I was wondering from all the people on here that I've talked to it makes me think that nobody here likes Goliath at Magic Mountain or prefer other ones at different parks. When I went onto it last May I thought it was one of the best non-looping coasters I've ever been on in my entire life and the G's near the end were totally amazing.
-
In my own opinion I thought it wasn't too bad when I went onto it last May but I had been on the Ghostrider coaster a couple days before and I felt that was the roughest coaster I've ever been on in my entire life but since it's been completely demolished now I don't really care that it's gone but I would've liked to go on it more than one time before I left but now that it's gone I'd like to see another coaster in it's place right now maybe a coaster like The Voyage or maybe El Toro if they had the same restraints as The Voyage.

Well I would love it if somebody would make another 300-footer even though the tallest full circuit coaster I've been on is Goliath at MM I would love to see Canada make a 300-footer because the tallest in Canada as of next year will be Behemoth and that's shorter than Goliath is. I'd love to see Playland in Vancouver get a Giga or even a Hyper get put in there because the tallest coaster they have over there is The Coaster and that's only 75 feet tall. Now don't get me wrong I absolutely love that coaster but the other one the Corkscrew (I'll give you one guess who made that ride) has to go because even when I go in the summer the line-ups are never that long for it and I've only seen about 3% of people who go on it early in the day go on it again later in the day and most people have said that if they got rid of it pretty much nobody would miss it.

Kingda Ka
KingOfNynex2003 replied to Manny In England's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Unfortunately for me since I've been on this ride http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvT1O01_he8 21 times now I don't register any G's under 4 G's now. Even though it doesn't look like it's that fast it can accelerate upto about 100km/h and can generate upto about 4 G'S I don't really feel the G's on any ride except for this one. -
Best And Worst Things Ever
KingOfNynex2003 replied to Manny In England's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Worst: Waiting 2.5 hours for Riddler's Revenge at SFMM and ride-ops saying I'm too fat to go on it. Best: Coming back 10 minutes later and getting onto it. -
The Official "TPR MidWest USA 2007" Trip Thread!
KingOfNynex2003 replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
hey robb nice photos of Maverick! Just to let you know you're not really all that big you look skinnier than my dad and by Canadian standards he's not all that big but if a guy like me tried getting onto the rides over at CP the rideops would probably be like a carny and say something like, "You're too fat to go onto this ride get out of here." here's a photo of me on Deja Vu at SFMM with a girl that wanted to come onto it with me. -

Great video! I was wondering, I'm planning on going out there sometime in the future to try out ET and KK and like a fair number of Americans I am sadly overweight and can't get onto some rides. But I went to Knott's Berry Farm last year and I could get onto everything there except for La Revolucion and Xcelerator so I was wondering if you could tell me if you've been on Xcelerator and if so if the checkstrap for ET is about the same as the Xcelerator coaster at Knott's or if it's shorter? Hope to hear from you soon. -
Vekoma Ride.
KingOfNynex2003 replied to mobilejom's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
well I've only been on a few Vekoma coasters the corkscrew coaster at Playland in Vancouver, BC, Canada Deja Vu at SFMM and Boomerang at Knott's the Corkscrew makes you act like a bobblehead doll for about 1.5 minutes and I absolutely hate it with a passion and Deja Vu in my own opinion is really smooth and very fun and Boomerang is pretty much just like the Corkscrew coaster. -
Funniest Ride Experiences
KingOfNynex2003 replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
the funniest thing that happened on a ride was when I went onto The Hellevator (an S&S Combo Tower ride) at Playland in Vancouver, BC, Canada the year it opened there was this lady that was sitting beside me on the ride and she was wearing flip-flop shoes and the ride-op said she should take them off because they could fly off her feet and she said that they would be fine and that they wouldn't fall off her feet the guy was skeptical but let her go on it with her flip-flops on and right after it launched up those shoes were history! they unbelievably flew from the ride all the way to the basketball court which was at least 90 feet away from the ride! She was screaming saying that her shoes flew off her and me and my friend were just laughing our heads off! I don't even know if she got them back or not but it was totally hilarious!
