  1. yeah, I've been to Wild Waves once but wasn't able to get onto any of the coasters there so I decided to just leave and go back to my house, pretty much a waste of a trip but there you go.
  2. well it wasn't meant to be, I wasn't able to get onto The Beast, one of the attendants could've been a little more gentle in his words but I wasn't expecting somebody who'd be the most polite person in the world when faced with somebody as fat as I am, but I'll probably need to lose about 50 pounds before I can get onto that ride, maybe less if it all comes off of my stomach, will have to wait and see, at least I have a goal for the end of the Playland Season, which I believe is the end of September. I didn't get many photos of it because after I was denied the chance to ride it I just left the park because it's kinda boring to stay at the park by myself after I've ridden every single ride there multiple times, most of them to death, and they get boring after a while, except for the Coaster of course, that can never get boring, it's impossible, and I'm not just saying that because my Grandpa helped build it
  3. apparently none of the people at The Vancouver Sun has been on the Coaster, that always has the longest wait of any ride at the park
  4. depends on what kind of ride you want, if you want to see the track and just how fast you're going, then go with the front, if you're wanting airtime galore then you'll want to go for the back, if you don't want to see the track and not get much airtime, then it's the middle for you. personally I like the front because you don't get as sucker punched as you do in the back, I made the mistake of doing a marathon ride in the back one time I went there a number of years ago, took a while before I could feel my stomach anymore
  5. I just got an e-mail from KMG and this is what it said about The Beast: Hello KingOfNynex2003, Yes, this is the first time we have done this. This XXL is unique in many ways, and this is one of its unique features. Met vriendelijke groeten / freundlichen GrĂ¼ssen / Kind regards, Bas Derkink Engineering / Support / Aftersales So why in the world hasn't Playland/PNE marketed this ride like crazy right? Considering this is the first KMG XXL of its kind in the entire world you'd think their PR Department would be doing a lot more to promote this ride right?
  6. I just wanted to make sure so I'd know for certain, I always do that with everything
  7. I sent an e-mail to KMG right after I saw the latest photos there to find out if this XXL was the first to have outward facing seats and also to have half facing outward and half facing inward. I got an automatic e-mail back saying that they're busy until March 31st so will let you know when I get an e-mail back from them if this XXL is truly the first of its kind.
  8. ^knowing Playland/PNE I wouldn't be surprised if they do decide to buy crappy coasters, or maybe they'll simply buy $40,000,000 worth of kiddy rides or buy some great flat rides but run them at kiddy ride speed like they do with most of their flat rides now it seems, minus Atmosfear which is kinda decent.
  9. looks cool, I just hope that I'll be able to fit onto it and not have to lose a ton of weight so I can fit on it.
  10. wow, that is insane, I just got an e-mail from KMG and they said that their rides are designed that nobody over 220 pounds is allowed on their rides, how is that possible when I went onto the Spin Out when I was around 350 pounds? that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
  11. yeah I know that but they made it so that only somewhat skinny people can go onto it, something like 275 pound people and lighter can only get onto it, but the weird thing is that for the most part when it comes to European Restraints like HUSS, KMG, and some Moser Rides I didn't have much problems when I was pretty heavy it was always the American Restraints that I've had problems with, some, not all, but rides from Chance Rides I've always had problems with for some reason, so there's that small chance I might be able to get onto the KMG XXL because the restraints are pretty much identical to the Spin Out which I believe is a KMG ride.
  12. Forgot that the one I was thinking of was La Revolucion at Knott's Berry Farm and that was made by Chance Rides, not KMG, I wasn't able to get on that one over there because the restraints on Chance Rides for some reason are more restricting than European Ride Manufacturers for some reason, I remember being able to get onto the Spin Out when I was around this weight so hopefully this one will be the same as the Spin Out, course my only gripe is that the restraints on these rides are super hard and feel weird, almost like a Carbon Fiber or some other dense material. This one isn't as wild as the Spin Out so hopefully it won't matter too much, and considering Playland usually butchers good rides by running it at speeds young kids will like, they probably won't be running it like you see on YouTube.
  13. great, looks like I won't be going onto this one either, considering KMG makes their restraints smaller than the Spin Out and I've gained some weight since the last time I went on that one I doubt I'll be going onto that one unfortunately, but I wish it'd have been a Giant Frisbee because those are so much cooler than this one, and they don't hurt as much as this one they're getting.
  14. from the sound of the description on the PNE Website which can be found here: http://www.pne.ca/playland/rides-games-food/rides.html#beast it sounds more like the HUSS Giant Frisbee as the XXL from what I've heard doesn't go as high as 120' but I could be mistaken, I haven't seen those rides outside of America for the most part except for when WCA used to bring something like that to the PNE.
  15. For those of you wondering what the new ride Playland is getting, it's the Giant Frisbee by HUSS, hopefully they won't butcher it like they did with the Crazy Beach Party, course they did kind of redeem themselves by making the ride time for Atmosfear decent, I think it's still at around the 2.5-3 minute mark from the time your feet leave the ground till the time they touch back down.
  16. I was at Playland Vancouver, BC on Saturday July 14th, 2012 for their Gay Pride Celebration to have a little fun on the rides while get a chance to see the lines for Coaster as well, I only spent a couple hours there and got onto Coaster about 5 times (gotta love that Exit Ride Pass) and I went onto Atmosfear with this guy, don't remember his name, but he told me I was cute and sexy, and I noticed that there were some creaks and groans from the tower that I've never noticed before, I've been on it many times with friends that are heavier than the guy I was with, but never heard them before, has anyone noticed recently that it's starting to creak a bit? The more I've thought about it, the more I think about me being heavy (I'm about 360lbs) and having somebody ride with me, last time I checked those chains and supports for the Star Flyer has a breaking point of something like 9000lbs or something like that, is it just me or do you guys think I might want to just go on this one by myself until I lose some of this weight?
  17. Sorry to hear that, thanks for letting us know Nrthwnd, looking forward to this one, it's going to be for a couple great Foundations. Kind of weird that your doctor said no to this, but yes to doing the trip.
  18. finally found a good enough song for it, unfortunately Youtube says the Royalty Free Music I used is a match for Third Party Content, and yet I know for a fact that I got this Royalty Free Music CD so I submitted a dispute, and they said if it turns out I'm using this so called song I've never even heard of by an artist I've never heard of, they'll disable my account permanently, and I can't afford to let that happen, I've got nearly 170 videos on there and most of them have been deleted from my Hard Drive because the Geek Squad at Best Buy pretty much wiped out most of my files from my computer, so if they disabled that account I've lost a ton of videos that I can't get back.
  19. yeah eventually, I want it to appeal to a wide range of audiences, which is why I used that other one on the Atmosfear Time Lapse, but finding a good one for the Coaster will be a bit of a challenge because it is a fast Coaster, so I'll need some music that starts out a bit slow, then builds up once the real fun begins.
  20. thanks Nrthwnd, now all I need to do is find the right music for the Coaster, I can't use any of the one's I'd like to use so I have to find a good fit with Royalty Free Music.
  21. Thanks Nrthwnd, I did put on some Royalty Free Music on there, I've got a few warnings from Youtube about Matched Third Party Content so I'm trying to use some Royalty Free Music right now, unfortunately it's not easy finding some good one's that I can put onto my iTunes account. edit: I have now finished the Coaster Time Lapse video and it's at 1 minute 54.80 seconds long, which is running at around the same time as the Coaster normally does.
  22. Thanks Nrthwnd, now we're that much closer to getting an entire train filled. Also could you check out that Time Lapse video please? I'm about to make another one, this one will be of the Coaster, I took my camera on to it in the front row and I'm trying to figure out how many seconds I'll want each photo to be seen for to make it look like the 163 photos I took while on that ride is the same time as the ride time itself from when I started the ride to where I get off of the ride, I'm pretty sure the average ride time is about 1 minute 55 seconds. So I took 163 photos, hypothetically speaking let's say I had each photo shown for 1 second, that'd be just under 3 minutes, which is far too long, so let's see, 1/2 second would make it a little over 1 minute 21 seconds, which is too fast, so let's see, 3/4 of a second would make it 2 minutes 2.25 seconds, I think I'll try it at .70 seconds per photo, that way it'll be a tiny bit faster than the Coaster.
  23. This just finished uploading, took me 3 hours to adjust the time for it so that it was close to how long Atmosfear runs for, this one goes a little fast, instead of 3 minutes from start to finish, this one is 2 minutes 42 seconds, so it's a tiny bit faster than the real version, but nobody would be able to tell the difference anyway.
  24. ^Yes of course you can help us out, we've been trying to find some people who could handle staying on the Coaster for 3 hours, but as you can imagine, not many people can handle going onto that monster for that long. The rules are simple, we just need to stay on the Coaster for 3 hours, we can change seats as much as we want to, but we will be taking a 15 minute break for some of the people. The times are hopefully going to be 11am-2pm, I haven't got an e-mail back from Playland yet, but I'm going to be calling Kate on Tuesday and asking her to tell us if we can do this, I'll convince her any way I can.
  25. Yeah definitely, I actually got to the park around 1ish, I went straight to Atmosfear, got on it 4 times today, gotta love that Exit Ride Pass, and I got onto the Coaster twice, once in the front, once in the back, good practice for when me and my friend do the Fundraiser for the Make A Wish and Give Kids The World Foundations on July 11th, if you're free you should come by, I heard they'll be closing down the Coaster for 3 hours just for us so we can do this Marathon, unless we can't get enough people to fill the entire Coaster train.
