http://www.westedmontonmall.com/play/galaxyland.asp Brand new Gerstlauer spinning coaster for West Edmonton Mall's Galaxyland, opening in Summer 2007! The ride will wind all over the park! "Galaxyland set to welcome a big addition! Construction is underway in Galaxyland to install a brand new roller coaster that will be completed this summer and will mark the biggest addition to the park since it opened in 1985. Designed for people of all ages and will rank somewhere between the park's famous Mindbender roller coaster and the somewhat tamer Autosled. "

Nice job being super judgmental AND not even taking the time to help him with other parts of the ride. Nice. I downloaded it. The loop had pumps.. in fact, the ride was very pumpy. Try using CTRL-G to smoothen it out. Some of the banking was very odd, and the transitions into the rolls at the beginning was weird, because it seemed to unbank, then quickly bank again into the roll. The rolls were smooth though. The banking had wobbles all over the place, and the track was jerky, as it seemed to lurch the car to the side in some areas. The layout was neat, but the lift hill was oddly put in. It just seems very awkward to have a launched ride with a lifthill right in the middle. -
Mini Wheats commercials terrify me. "Oh there once was a place on a tropical villa, I fell in love with a flavour, yes it was vanilla... mini wheats wheats wheats I've wanted this flavour for so long, mini wheats wheats wheats, they're so sweet, what a treat! MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII wheats wheats wheats." OH!! And the Leons, The Brick or "UNITED FURNITURE WAREHOUSE *DUN DUN*" And the annoying car dealership commercials with the way overzealous lady that makes everything sound twice as good as they are, or the ones with the customers that know like EVERYTHING about the car, and sound almost as stupid as "Roller Coaster 1 is really good value!" Sean "Head on, apply directly to your forehead. Head on, apply directly to your forehead. Head on, apply directly to your forehead. Head on... available at Walgreens." S.

I saw the picture of the loop, and I'm not downloading it, that's very irregularly shaped. -
Just like you! OMG!!! My guilty pleasure is actually liking the Arrow Cork at Calaway. <_<

Here is my latest park. It's a pretty nice park, I like it a lot. I was looking at some of the great parks here, and they made me want to get back into the game, instead of placing random pieces of castle scenery everywhere. Here's the entrance image, sorry about the scribble, I did it in paint accidentally, before I decided to edit the images in GIMP. Here's the fountain leading out after the entrance. Here is our enclosed ride, Calamity. Construction has begun on the newest ride! An overview of the park. Areas with hidden content are cut from the image. Whaddya think?

Best Coaster "Voice Over" or Sounds
Calaway Park replied to PKI Jizzman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My favorites aren't on launched coasters, two not even on coasters. Mindbender's is really creepy, there's a distant voice, kind of like the one in the Millennium Force promo video, but.. creepier, and she says something to the effect of "Welcome to Mindbender. Please keep your arms inside the ride at all times, keep your head straight, and hold on." Then there's a horn and it goes up the lift. Space Shot's is even creepier, it's got this spacey music with the climatic horror music type of sounds going on, and there's a very chilling voice that says: "Welcome to space shot. This is an intense thrill ride that will launch you 120 feet high, with you feeling 4.5 G's on the way up. Are you ready? 5...4...3...*launch*" When I was riding it was very freaky, because when we were on, we were moving up, at the prelaunch area, and then she's very close to the countdown section, and then our restraints all popped open, turns out a kid freaked out, started bawling and wanted off the ride, so they brought it back down and coaxed him off. Locked our restraints and then sent us up. Definitely freaky though. On Orbiter, the ride op at our fair basically gives us instructions. "Here we go! Remember, the louder you scream, the faster we go!" Then mid ride he'll ask "Do you want to go faster?!" *screams* "I can't hear you!" *AHHHHHHHHHHHHH* "Alright, here we go!" It's fun on Himalayas when they ask that question too, even though they usually don't do anything. -

Looks cool! Could've had a few more thrilling slides though. -

I hate to say it, but your scenery is better than your coaster. There are lots of laterals, the overbank is badly placed, the dive loop unrolls much too early, and it pumps... a lot. I like the layout, but the only smoother part was the roll. <3 the scenery though. -

I mean looking at G-Force and Airtime facts. You can completely tell if it has airtime and positive forces without riding it, I mean, listen to the shouts on the TPR video when it goes over the hill! [JK] I've never ridden a Eurofighter, but I know because Speed pulls -1.3 G's on the hill, and the loop pulls 5.2. -

For help, try using RCDB and looking at stats and pictures, and using some videos, like the lipstick cam POV of Speed here at TPR. -

It was good, but it went way too slow in some areas, and where were the intense inversions and extreme airtime Eurofighters are famous for? -

It only screws up your tracks if you don't know how to use it.
