  1. During the 6-year stint I had on the west coast, I was lucky enough to ride it. I liked it. It was odd, but I liked it. But honestly, that's the kind of ride that would be perfect in a smaller park, that doesn't have the room for a mega-coaster. They should sell it.
  2. http://www.drugs.com/levaquin.html hmmmmm. Someone's getting exclusive ride time. GREAT Trip Report Wes! Sheer Awesomeness-licious!
  3. Best quote of ANY trip report. EVER!
  4. Mmmmm, now I know why they call him big mike!
  5. KUDOS MORGAN! (applause!) Great update guys! I swear, one of these days, I'm taking one of these trips, you guys have so much fun!
  6. Double Ferris Wheels (Skywheels) are SOOOO Fun. You get serious floater time in parts of the ride. If you ever see one of these things, definately worth the stop to ride them. I'm so suprised that parks didn't keep up on these, since they are so fun.
  7. Anyone know the manufacturer of Ramses? At first I thought it was a Schwartzkopf, but they have a "u" shaped track, not a "v" shaped one. And that picture of KidTums is sooooo adorable!
  8. Guess the NY Post can't afford spell check.
  9. When I lived in Vegas, (1992-98) there were numerous companies that tried to get this idea off the ground. Especially during the family-megaresort-boom. It always falls short in funding. I believe it will again, since Vegas has returned to it's adult-styled roots.
  10. I always like to see new rides rides open, but I just don't get this one. Seems like a not-so-thrilling-one-trick pony to me. Guess I will have to wait for more reviews to come in. (Or better videos to pop up somewhere...) I'm sure the unique seating arrangement brings a unique experience, but worthy of travel half way around the world? Probably not for me.
  11. Green Lantern, in his history, has been black and white. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Greenlantern156.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/ef/Justice_league_green_lantern.jpg
  12. Nice TR. But.... This looks more like a portable enterpise.
  13. Wait, wasn't he labeled a republican back in the old newsgroup days? Great TR!
  14. Maverick is not 500 ft. Terra coaster is just one of the fake buzz words that Cedar Points hype machine comes up with. Look at the spelling kids... Terra = short for terrain Tera = Next logical step from Giga strata, etc.
  15. First time I ride a coaster, I do the front, but after that, I like any seat.
  16. Mexico gave me diahrea. I swear, KidTums is the cutest baby, EVER!
  17. From one fellow musician to another, congrats! I love Yvete's Song, would love to remix it.

    DVD Question

I have an inkjet disk printer. I love it. BUT.... The HUGE drawback to these is the ink, it's SOOOOO expensive. For my model, (It's an epson) generic ink is hard to find, and when you find it, it's sold out. The printer itself cost less than it would take to fill the ink in the printer. To fill my 6 tanks, it costs around $130, and for what R&E print on their disks, it would suck the ink dry in about 10 disks. Hardly worth it. I got the Lightscribe as well, but I like my color.
  21. As is mentioned earlier in this thread, there was a derailment in 1984 of the King Cobra at Kings Island. This was, of course, an earlier model, and the problem seemed to be corrected. I do think it's safe to say that the safety record on Togo stand ups is solid. If you look at the tens of millions of riders over the years compared to the number of injuries, you get an activity that is far safer than most. Isn't Manhattan Express also a Togo? There were incidents on that coaster as well in it's second year, support cables were snapping. When looking at the ratio you mentioned, Togo's are pretty safe. And really, most coasters are.
  22. OK, TOGO Stand-ups now officially have a history of losing their wheels. This happened in PKI years ago, but didn't this also happen at PKD?
