Well, to me, the picture doesnt really show it but they have seperate 16 gates. So one for each row, 2 for each car. -

Not so much taxes but easier to get permits approved. That was said by the park when asked why everything seems to be coming to the SC side... -

It all bals down to it being cost effective when it comes to tax breaks and permits when building in SC. Thats why pretty much all major attractions, as of lately, have been built on the SC side... -
Merry Christmas From Theme Park Review!
jarmor replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I figured for christmas I'd do something for my house! I started rennovating my "informal sitting area" (basically the "room with the computer") into a safari style area! The highlight, for me, was a brand new very thin lcd/led 40 inch hdtv! And I took the extra step and had it framed like the T.V.'s in the child swap area on everyones' favorite ride, forbidden journey! Sampling out some paint colors...went with the first shade. Got some new cool/funky "safari" chairs. Still looking for an african inspired love seat. Any suggestions let me know! also gonna line the wall in this picture with fresh cut and stained bamboo! Im going all out for this one! The highlight of my christmas! A brand new TV situated in a custom frame. Not as "gaudy" as the ones in forbidden journey but I had to go with something that would blend in with the safari theme. With a gold rope "holding" it on the wall! -
As the days go by this idea grows on me. Im just hoping the supposed london section isn't as "magical" and fantasy-like as the current wizarding world. I think thats one way to keep it balance, keep most if all of the magical-ness in IOA and have the studio section be made in the likes of NYC and hollywood.

Im looking at the footers...they are pretty high off the ground. Will the water level get that high for those huge footers? I think I may actually travel to ride this coaster. That Stengel Diving Turn looks sweet! -

I personally cant stand stand the amazing adventures of _ _ _ _ _ _ man. I cant even say the name w/o having a panic attack! -
I have to say im 75/25 against it. As I read, one thing that I kept seeing is "yes, cause USH needs a major update". It seems like people are for this not for the franchase but because they really wanna see the old crap taken out and some new life pumped into the park! Im all about uniquiness. One reason I haven't ventured to the west coast is because there really, on the surface, isn't anything unique enough to pull me there. I mean, theres disney land on the west, there's magic kingdom on the east...there's termi...apocalypse on the west, there's thunderhead on the east...and the list goes on and on. A soft spot in me wants to keep potter exclusive to orlando. Only a fool would think that would stay the case. I just wish there was something as popular that'll keep USH as busy as USF...

I dunno if I would count wild eagle, but...compared to all the other very smaller coasters being made next year I wouldn't go as far to call next year the year of the massive... -

Hahah six flags isn't exactly as wholesome and dedicated as Dollywood, no question about that. But you have to remember they had to remove iron wolf + the footers and everything, and Dollywood is just building anew. thats why construction hasn't started yet! Dollywood had to not only clear but work around trees...all on a hill. It's not like they just went out there one day and start drilling holes for footers. But they did start the process very early in the season...

Are you gonna be in the park for the stay and scream? If so I would wait in the NY area. They will lead you to winters night. After that I would go to the kids area and do foresaken, then the inbetween, then the poe house, followed by saws and steam then H.R. Bloodenguts. Now, here is where its up to you. I would suggest thing because its line could get pretty heavy then nightengales. I can almost promise you by 830pm you'd be finish with all the house, provided you dont make any ride stops before then.
