Kentucky Kingdom (SFKK, KK) Discussion Thread
jarmor replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode it several times. nice first drop, some rattle (first and second year) the mid-course BRAKE (geesh I see this word spelled wrong soo much lately) run kinda killed the second half, but im sure the ride would work for this park well. The music was a plus. -
I don't think that teal track looks like an inversion. its too short to really tell. could be a sharp transition piece...

Wikipedia says Leviathan was 28 million, so this hopefully will be a little longer with a decent brake run (or are the extra 2 million just for the additional height?) When you factor in inflation, in today's dollars, its actually 28.8 million. he was saying what it cost back then...not what it would cost today ...but thanks for the tidbit ! I would hope a portion of the cost went into the design phase so basically, it wouldnt cost as much to research and develop a ride of that caliber again. -

Get there first thing in the morning and knock out the flyer. Shouldnt be that busy coming off of a holiday weekend though. Get to the water park (if they are your thing) as soon as it opens and hit the two new slides. I heard its only one line that leads to both of them. I was at the park a few weeks ago and everything in the water park was a walk on early on the wed after memoral day. -

Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
jarmor replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Lets be honest, when has B&M ever really cared about being innovative? I really dont think they can give a flying phuck about what the community or any poll states. What they seem to care about is what their clients want. Coaster companies are the middle man so to speak...in my opinion. If parks stop buying their rides, they will have to conform but that doesn't seem to be happening. So, we can complain all day...if the parks keep buying, they will keep selling. Andthe fact that the older kids are on the deck makes me think that this will indeed be a coaster with a higher height requirement! -

Hey...maybe the water park will see the addition of slides like csrowinds is geting this season. They have a history of getting similar attractions. -

Ok...well when I was a season pass holder years ago the pass lot was right by the south gate. I remember it moved by hurler. If I were still a pass holder it wouldnt matter to me but you know how the public is... -

But at the same time if you read the pass holder benefits it just says enjoy free parking. It never said anything about a enjoying a designated parking lot your still getting what you paid for FREE PARKING....i dnt believe other cedar parks have a desiganted area carowinds just spoiled its holders now that it's taken away for a season they're pissed other parks including cedar fair parks have "preferred parking" at $25 or more. You're walking all day already smh I'm sure if I read the site now it wl say just that. I'm alsoaure they would have changed the verbiage to reflect their fb post before posting it. Do all the season pass tiers offer free parking? -

Guys...everyone that goes to the park isn't gaga over roller coasters. I understand their sentiment a little. If I paid to get the more expensive pass specifically for the parking perk I would be upset. A shiny new coaster won't shut up a mother of 3 kids under 48inches tall...let's think outside of the coaster box every once and a while... -

Best and Worst SoCal Parks?
jarmor replied to 2012jarrett's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well I have only recently been to knotts and universal so I can really only speak on them but it seems like you want to do the coasters only since that what you pointed out. Now, if that isnt a problem I would probably stay in the knotts area. you have 3 world class parks, knotts, disneyland and california adventure, and the little unique coaster opening up at the adventure park. not to mention the beach which is less than 15 miles away. Yeah SFMM has the most coasters but really, how many of them are "world class" coasters? If I only had 2 days I would do what I mention. It would be such a shame to travel all the way there just to say you only rode roller coasters and thats it! -
Lifetime Passes
jarmor replied to Rollercoaster Rider's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The closest park to me that I?have a pass for is 5 hours. I don't think moving should make a difference. Planes and trains operate daily. I already have the pass and park admission soley takes up a huge chunk of a typical vacation. I don't hesitate and think of distance when it comes to the west coast parks... -
Lifetime Passes
jarmor replied to Rollercoaster Rider's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I already have lifetime passes to all busch parks and uni Orlando/ioa. I currently pay a little over 40 a month and that's contingent to inflation of the gate price... -

So in a thread about an up and coming simulator no one needs to make request? Also, it wasnt a request...it was a question. The person was wondering when the B&M wing coaster is added will the restraints on the inverted be changed to match as well since they are now virtually the same, based on banshee. If were to just "be happy" with what the original nolimits brought us I seriously doubt there would be a nolimits2 coming out... The bigger picture is if WE never request or give our feedback there would be no nolimits 1.8 or 2. But the bottom line is your rant about a "request" that was a mere QUESTION is kinda mute... When does nolimits3 come out???? -

jarmor replied to Loefet's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Well...the person who posted after me didn't quite ask for that. They were merely pointing out the minor difference, and even stated that would be something MINOR to request cause it didn't matter that much on their wish list. He was simply correcting my statement of saying the only thing new were the restraints. Looks like your drive-by rant shot the wrong person (and really, why get up in arms because someone request something. I'm sure the developers know and understand the simulator is made for us the people. While I feel upgrading the train to the banshee style is pointless, if its a selling point that people want then I see no problem upgrading it) -

To be quite honest, the only thing new on banshee is the restraints on the train. -

Guess who is (kinda) back! This family coaster was inspired by coasters like fire chaser express, expedition everest/grizzly mountian and ben 10! I utilize nolimits in a way I have yet to see! Its verry innovative and fun! Im still working on it some, it should be uploaded real soon...
