The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread
Corkscrewy replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So I know we've all heard the rumors a few years back about Valleyfair getting a B&M invert or floorless but instead they put in Renegade. Now I'm not sure if this is already a topic i tried searching for it but found nothing so here it goes. This is what i found on Screamscape, "2010 - New B&M Coaster - Rumor - (6/24/08) Its been a great week for rumors so far and this next one is sure to please the Valleyfair crowd if it comes true. Look for a new steel B&M creation to make a hard landing near the front of the park in 2009 or more likely in 2010. We don’t know the exact design, but it seems likely that your feet will hang, so either a Floorless or Inverted are most likely, but don’t expect to see a Dive Machine." I highly doubt these are true seeing as how they are expanding the water park for the 2009 season already. But I was just curious if anyone else had any information. -

can we get a pic of the whole park? -
i wasn't being rude and i didn't say he was using no limits. but he might as well be. because until i see construction its just a computer rendering, hence me saying NL. and the work that hes put into it so far is amazing, i didn't say anything bashing. the drawings are amazing. i'm just worried hes put to much time into the design. its been a year and the design can be changed as much as he wants. but the most important thing is to get a prototype so you know its possible to build.
-
I never saw him bashing anyone. i mean. the guy obviously does know what hes talking about. and i agree, until i see some actual construction going on, this is nothing more than a NL coaster as far as i'm concerned. now saying i dont think he could build it, i'm just saying until i actually see it start happening i'm not that interested at the moment.

I agree Inverts dont have straight drops but its his park, if he wants it to be straight it can be straight. theres no holy coaster law in the big book of coasting that says 'Thou shalt not built an invert with a straight drop.' -

The very top of the tower is backwards. And its a little to high. I'd just take that off actually and it'd look better. but the rest looks pretty accurate. Good job! -

Ridgepoint Theme Park (RCT3)
Corkscrewy replied to LOVE SFKK's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
If your going for realism, the MCBR should be in the air and then it takes a drop into those elements. I'm sorry but having the brake run parallel to the rest of the track just looks extremely goofy. -
