  1. Valleyfair (judging by my view) has had one of the if not the greatest season this year in terms of attendance and in-park spending. From my 12 visits so far this summer, I have seen rides running to full capacity that I have not seen in recent years (i.e. Wild Thing running 3 trains, Corkscrew and High Roller running two trains most of the time) and a lot more people are in line spending money for food. The Halloween Haunt is also extended for two extra weekends this year. I honestly don't think Valleyfair will be closing or sold anytime soon.
  2. Apple introduces new iPod Nano Apple introduces new iPod Touch They also announced a new 120 GB classic model for $250, iTunes 8 with Genius, HD TV shows, and the announcement that NBC is returning to the iTunes store. www.apple.com www.apple.com/ipodnano www.apple.com/ipodtouch www.apple.com/ipodclassic www.apple.com/itunes New iPod Touch New iPod Touch Nano-Chromatic Nano-Chromatic 120 GB Classic 120 GB Classic
  3. Matt's is Valleyfair's old Dolphin Show.
  4. So I was wrong about RipTide but Valleyfair closed on Sep. 22 in 2005 thus making Xtreme Swing's announcement the day after closing day.
  5. I'm guessing November 2nd for the announcement because the park has closed for the season. They have done this for Xtreme Swing and Riptide in 2004 and 2005. They were both announced after the last day of the season. Renegade was probably announced earlier so they could take advantage of season pass sales and the season had been extended an extra month.
  6. Excalibur is the third best roller coaster at Valleyfair behind Renegade and Steel Venom.
  7. Rage Against the Machine - Target Center (sep. 3) One of the best concerts of my life.
  8. Could U Love Me-Will Smith

  12. Yea but Intamin tends to charge $11-15 million for woodies.
  13. I Haven't gone yet but the next concert I will go to is Rage Against the Machine at the Target Center on Sep. 3.
  14. I had a great time at Valleyfair today. Congrats on your 700th coaster.

  16. http://www.courierpress.com/news/2008/aug/12/holiday-world-dropping-hints-about-major-new-ride/ My guess is a 125 ft. tall Euro-Fighter with 3-5 inversions and a 97 degree drop with a track length around 2,600 ft. It will cost around $5 million. Along with that, SS will probably get a slide as well.
  17. Great Photos and report. Even when this park was under Six Flags ownership, I found it to be a pretty nice park and offers a lot for a park of it's size. BTW, Am I the only one who thought Flying Coaster was fun?
