Happened to me with an old disc - I had to hard-reset my Mac (running Windows, of course) multiple times before I could get a successful install. My advice is to go find a RCT2 Triple Thrill Pack disc if they're still around. You'll get a fresh disc and both expansion packs. New scenarios are fun! -

The Upload > Delete > Upload > Delete way of spamming the system is really cheap. What exactly is "Generate Coupon"? -
Only Action Park was able to pull the looping waterslide off. While it was most likely painful for anyone that dared make it through the circuit, it was and as of now will always be the only true looping waterslide. That being said, the SuperLoops look like incredibly intense waterslides. I can't wait to try Vanish Point at Water Country USA this summer.

Thanks guys, building the track in the opposite direction worked flawlessly. I ended up using multi-dimension track. -

Amateur hacker. I want to use wooden coaster track or multi-dimensional lift track as catwalks for my coaster, because I don't have Phatage's Catwalks, and also because I can't put them directly into my park (or can I?) since I'm not in the Scenario editor. I've tried two methods using 8cars 1.32: Method 1 - Zero all clearances, and build the catwalks through the current track. That worked for a straight brake run, but it would leave a white building shadow behind when doing gently sloped track, and I could not make the shadow the colors of the normal track. Method 2 - Build the catwalks two notches above the track, and use the raise/lower function. I entered [-2] in for the raise/lower offset, checked the raise/lower box, clicked Apply, then OK. The track didn't lower. If anyone could help me out, that would be fantastic. -

You'll find that Universal Studios Japan, as well as a bunch of other "city"-esque parks and venues, are the main inspiration for my project. -

Its not that it is moving slow, its that the twist itself is elongated... Think of the lateral forces you feel in a normal twist/zero-g roll/whatever we're calling them now... and imagine you're off the side of the track doing that... wouldn't it hurt? A major point for B&M's track record being so smooth is that they go to extreme lengths to heart line all of their elements; this looks to be no different. Exactly. For this kind of ride to be heartlined, every inline twist would essentially have to be an elongated, wide corkscrew, and even then, you would only be able to heartline one side of the train. For this kind of ride, lateral forces through inversions that aren't vertical loops are un-avoidable. On a side note, why do you think that dive machines don't have inline twists? The same reason. The Immelmanns' rolls are taken so slowly that you wouldn't notice the lateral Gs. The rolls even start before the top of the half loops. -

Your images shouldn't be larger than 800x600 anyway. It's a universal rule from our Terms of Service - Most of your images are over 200KB as well. -

Ahem. Let me tell you this nicely before a certain beer man flips out over it - you need to use proper grammar when you present your park. I'll give you one shot to redeem yourself and present your update like you're proud of it - if you don't use proper spelling/grammar I will have to lock your topic (or release the hound, take your pick). Also, it would be great if you uploaded your images as attachments to our forum. You can caption them right here, and you don't have near as much of a bandwidth limit than you do on Photobucket. Your park looks okay, but you need to take the time to make it better and more detailed. ~AJR -
Official RCT3 Help Thread
A.J. replied to mcjaco's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
That's really interesting. Windows 7 does in fact have "My _______" folders. I think the problem is that RCT3 looks for the folder in C: > Documents and Settings > Your name > My Music (which is the Windows XP routing), and you need it to look for the folder in C: > Users > Your name > My Music. You'd have to use the command prompt (cmd.exe). I haven't done the change since I got my Macbook Pro, which was about eight months ago, so I don't entirely remember. Let me see if I can find a good tutorial on Youtube of the Pictures folder re-routing. -

Richard - Great-looking coaster. Looks like it would be a blast to ride in real life. In fact, it reminds me of something I would design. One thing though - it would be great if you could upload your images as attachments instead of linking them externally. I've been going through old threads in the forum lately, and a good lot of them have dead Imageshack or Photobucket links. If you upload your images to our servers, we won't lose them. Thanks!
