Moved to Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, and Donkeys - because the thread is very similar to a trip report. Great photos. Remind me of home (or at least, three hours from home).

Facepalm. That's really all that needs to be said, IMO. -

You have to do the same thing that you do with pictures and billboards. RCT3 looks for a "My Music" folder like it looks for a "My Pictures" folder. -
Dells Amuesment Park [RCT3]
A.J. replied to Cole's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Hey, Cole. Not many posts, eh? Welcome to the Games forum. It would be fantastic if you uploaded your images as attachments instead of linking them to Tinypic. This way, when they're uploaded to our forum, they will always be here even if something happens on Tinypic's end. Thanks! I like the park, by the way. -

Robb Alvey's Facebook Account

I totally understand the situation. Even though I'm probably not as much of a popular person as you are, I still dealt with Facebook "friends" that would play me down all the time. I used to have 300-or-so Facebook friends, and now I'm down to just over 120 because so many were jerks or I just plain didn't know them. What reason would people have for playing you down, anyway? It's not like there's a huge disclaimer written on the bottom of the splash page. Oh, wait... -

So...can the UAE afford life insurance? What would happen if they made a Sky Jump off the Burj? I doubt Bert the Conquerer of his own ego would be able to do that. -
I got deployed. Lamesauce. Working five straight nights in Downtown Disney until 12:30 each night. Gag me, please.

I love Hot Nacho Cheese! This is one case that I would gladly defend Disneyland on! The more spicy the better! -

Oh great, a block system. What a modern convenience, 'virtually eliminating' operator error. Their rides sound like hot death on wheels. If a block system is what they're calling "advanced", I don't even want to know what they're prototyping right now. What do they use to control the block system? MS-DOS? -

Spend the extra money, and buy a copy of RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum. It's worth it. You'll have a fresh copy of the game, and I can confirm to you that it works flawlessly on a Windows 7 Mac partition, with an exception being all custom scenery installers need to be rerouted to the "Program Files (x86)" folder. HOWEVER...if you want to keep all of your custom scenery and rides, make a backup of those folders before you uninstall the original game. As a refresher for custom content locations - Scenery - Style > Themed Flat rides - Style > Custom Tracked rides - Tracks > TrackedRides Cars for those rides - Cars > TrackedRideCars -
TPR's Game Exchange! BETA TESTING!
A.J. replied to robbalvey's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
We can't stress enough how much we need you all to help us make sure there aren't any bugs left in the system. In fact, it would be fantastic if some of you actually deleted some of your files from the exchange and re-uploaded them. That way, we can test the delete function as well as the upload function! In case you don't know, when you log into the Exchange, and you click "Manage My Files", you'll find the delete button. -
Walt Disney World needs better signage along the expressways. "Magic Kingdom Resort Area - straight ahead" -Magic Kingdom lane veers off to right while I stay in the straight lanes- -I look like a total [censored]head- I realize I should know off the top of my head how to get there, but still...

Because it doesn't have any wings to keep itself up! Why is there a poster of Miley Cyrus next to posters of famous rock and roll legends in the queue for Rock n' Roller Coaster? -
I'm a big fan of Tony's Town Square restaurant on Main Street. Best to get a reservation though. My bias, I am showing you it.

Maybe they don't know how to operate the rides, hence the "deserted" nature of the park. -approaching the station in lap 1- Rider: This is a bad ride! Get me off! Op: Let's see here...lever? Duh...nope, nope, nope. Button...nope, nope, nope. Rider: Just stop the... Op: No, no, no, duh...don't tell me! -approaching the station in lap 2- Rider: Help me! Stop the ride! The track ahead is broken! Op: Yup, yup, yup, I stopped the ride for ya. Rider: Oh, thank heavens! I don't want to have to do it again! Op: Again? Duh...you got it! Rider: What the [censored] are you doing? Op: Enjoy your ride! Rider: YOU BAS... -crash- -death- -got better- -death again- The end. -
Six Flags Over Texas (SFOT) Discussion Thread

Psh, and Robb think's I'm a self-proclaimed internet expert... The ironic thing is - I don't think you know what you're talking about at all... The supports are on the inner ring of the Giant's structure anyway. Who in the general public could possibly notice them from the outside edge of the ride (maybe Hanno and his sneaky camera...)? If they were bright pink with "HEY LOOK! STEEL SUPPORTS!" written on them and were brightly lit up at night while puking out fireworks and free candy for little children, that would be a different story. But they're not. They're brown, and dull, and they blend in with the rest of the structure. -

It just goes to show that a ride is only as good as the park that maintains it. Unless it's made by Top Fun. Then, you're kind of screwed either way. -

Adding to that, there are only a handful of them currently in operation, too - the only one in the US being Tak Attack at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America. There used to be another one, Iron Eagle, at Six Flags America.
