Disneyland Paris Photo Trip with rare photos(resized)
neovortex2k replied to neovortex2k's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
sorry about that guys all the photos havew been resized now! -
Hey guys, I am just back from a 5 day stay in the Disneyland Resort Paris. We stayed in Sante Fe (you know global ressesion and all that). We went for St.Patricks week as being there the year before last it's a great time to go. The atmosphere was great and the ride time was excellent! The most we queued was 50 minutes and that was for Crush's Coaster running at full capacity and joining the queue at the very end. It is my new favourite coaster ever! It's brilliant. If you board it in reverse in the station the first drop is stomach churning. R'N'R did break down but was fixed within 30 minutes and i managed to get a few rare pics and video of the launch with the lights on. The queue time was at most 15 minutes The Tower of Terror was excellent. I really enojoyed it more than Orlando. The lift drops in the same shaft as the 2 show parts of the ride unlike the Orlando one where it travels from the back shaft to the front one before it drops. Again the queue time was between 10 to 15 minutes. they have 6 loading platforms with 3 on ground level and 3 about so they load one level while the the other is in motion, very clever. Indiana Jones was as good as ever with a 10 to 5 minute wait time. Pirates had a no wait time and a straight walk on. They haven't updated their version to include the new Jack Sparrow, don't know if they will. The do have two manaqueins that look like Will turner and jack sparrow but they were there before the movie. Space mountain was again 10 to 15 minutes. The gun was broken for the entire length of our stay but still a great ride. Wasn't inpressed with the extra magic hours as we didn't realise it only applied to the magic kingdom park and when we arrived we found out it was ounly main street and fanteasyland that was open. we were not that happy. Other than that we had a brilliant time. I'll try put captions on the pics to explain the rare ones as i'm not quite sure how to work it but here goes. So let the pictures begin................... TOT as seen from the top of BTM My ketchup came out onto my burger in a strangly familiar shape! Newport Bay hotel at night over the lake This is BTM in the second tunnel on the way back from the island look forward at the side of the train This is BTM in the second tunnel on the way back from the island looking back down the train This is BTM in the second tunnel on the way back from the island This is BTM in the first tunnel on the way over to the island Big thunder Mountain seen from Phantom Manor at sunset The castle and Space Mountian as seen from Indiana Jones before the first drop Very random onride photo of me and by lucky coincidence you can see a partil bit of the loop aswell When the coaster hit the final brake run I pointed the camera striagth up and took a pic Wei Wei Mine! The new Hollywood skyline and new entrance to the Tram Tour Here you can see this statue is in the movie studios as apposed to the magic Kingdom in Florida Pretty self explanitory Here you can see the mechanics wlking back down the right handside of the launch tunnel. They just fixed the fault camera which was the casue of the shut down. Here you can see the full launch platform with the lights on. You can see how different it is themed to the Orlando ride. This is the launch tunnel with the lights on. I have a video on coastertube of the launch with lights on New editions to Mickey Mouse's Sorcerers hat Another view of the catch car and it's docking station With the lights on you can see the catch car in full view that launchs the Roller coaster to it's full speed Rock'N'Roller Coaster Loading station witht the lights getting ready for a test run The castle from behind(sounds kind of naughty) Obligatory Castle shot Me on the tea cups on Paddy's day. AS you see i'm wearing my green. This is a view from the top of the Tower of Terror, right before it does it's big drop. You can see Space mountain to the right the castle in the middle and Big thunder Mountain to the left This is a view from the top of the Tower of Terror, right before it does it's big drop. You can see Space mountain in the middle and the castle to the right The turtle coaster's outdoor portion Crush's loading station. I found the best ride is loading the turtle at the back as it spins when approaching the first drop and you almost freefall The castle in all it's glory at dusk, enhancing it's pink colour Indiana Jones after it's final brake run as taken from the queue at the top of the station

Guys i'm really disappointed. I'm finding the lack of education on this particular forum very ignornant. Has no one ever heard of a hidden or concealed pregnancy? Not every woman experiences the typical attributes that go with pregnancy. Some have all, some have a few and some have none. wiki.answers.com/Q/Can_you_be_pregnant_without_knowing_it Also if she gave birth hours after gettin off the ride that means the fetous was fully formed and ready to come out. It would have sustained no more damage from these rides that you or I would.

Any one else see this on Screamscape? Maybe it's some stats of the new coaster? Sounds very interesting if all these elements are included!! -

Dont you ever get Scared?
neovortex2k replied to Joan_Crawford's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Roller coasters in theme parks don't scare me anymore, im definitly immune. What scares the hell outta me is the traveling fairs. I reallly do feel like i'm takin my life into my own hands when i board one of those rides. Oh an also X-scream on top of the stratosphere! Every single time! -
I would kinda call it a top hat but you rotate 180 dgrees on the incline up and then on the incline down instead of no turn or only 90 degree's like many speed coaster's like Kingda Ka or Stealth. Imagine going halfway up a normal loop, then rotate 180 degrees so you are now outside the loop. You coast over the top of the top hat and as you fall back down and hit roughly a 90 degree drop you twist again 180 dgrees and you are back inside the loop at the exit. Thats my interpritation anyway. Hope this helps. Can't believe I was only there on June 25 and missed the costruction. I shame myself!

Wow definitly looks like a cool layout. After riding speed in Oakwood i'd definitly go the Thorpe park to ride that coaster. The pre-lift section looks cool -

Schwarzkopf Looping Star for Ireland
neovortex2k replied to Noxegon's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just rode shockwave yesterday in funderland!I rode it on the front and the back.It feels so much faster from the back! It's really weird though cause the train is like from a mine train ride. It has a train as the first car! And yes no OTSR only a lapbar. The loop is good no over the top g's and the last turn before the break run is good. Oh its €4.50 a ride by the way. -
Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces "X2"
neovortex2k replied to Loco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I disagree. I think it's X squared or more to the point X TO THE POWER OF 2! If you look at the official site, when it quotes the new name it is X with a small 2 beside iton the top right, which denotes squared where as it is not a big X2 like this one. I rode X a few years ago and i think it is a big waste of money. The original coaster was just fine and the money shgould have been invested in other area's of the park which really need it like staffing maybe to ensure all rides are open most days and not select one's!!!!!!! -

Wow they do look pretty cool. And they aren't like the x trains that have the big sheet of plastic on the inside side to seperate you from the train -
Thank you very very very much LEOFET. Appreciate it.

The song is called STEP BACK and is a dance track from an X video that was on an old different coaster website. Some of the lyrics included "Step back out of my life yeah you will set me free to be leaving me alone, step back out of my life. Your going out you step back out, your goin out you step back out, your goin out you steb back step back out om my life." Any help would be great on the artist.

Strongest/Most forcefull Launch
neovortex2k replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm just gonna compare all the launched coasters i've been on cause to me a launch is a launch no matter what system it uses. Launch coaster i've been on: Turbine- SFWW R'N'R - DL Paris and Florida Space Mountain- DL Paris Superman the escape- SFMM California Screamin- Disney California Rita- Alton Towers The Hulk- IOA Now in my opinion i do like them all i really do except Rita. I hated it. it was too much too fast. I went on the hulk in the lashing rain and i'd prefer to do that again than ride Rita.
