  1. oh ley it come over here and add to our total or 3 rollercoasters!!Any1 any idea how much a 30 year old second hand coaster like that would sell for?!
  2. That concept art is amazing if only it will look half as good it will be a great park
  3. Now this isn't 100% but one of my mates works at SFMM and he's says it's to close at the end of october. I know this is highly doubtfully seein as they just built Tatsu and stuff but he would never lie to me and insists he's tellin the truth answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20060715123601AAjpwHG Six Flags Magic Mountain to close PERMANENTLY? "Six Flags Inc. is considering a plan to sell Magic Mountain in Valencia. Company officials say the park may be developed into homes. Some other housing developments already planned for the area:" they announced awhile ago they were going to sell magic mountain, but now they say that are going to close the park and shut everything down because residents are unhappy of all the people it brings and it is said it holds the worst traffic in California. and gangs and violence from all the teens it attracts golosangeles.about.com/b/a/257518.htm Six Flags Magic Mountain May Close Just a few weeks after opening Tatsu, their first new ride in three years, the Six Flags company is considering closing their Magic Mountain theme park in Valencia, CA. Low attendance at the park is blamed on out of control teens and troublemakers that frequent the attraction. Real estate values in the area have soared, making the property potentially worth more as development lots than as an amusement park. It remains to be seen whether they will find a buyer for the park as it is or decide to dismantle it.
  4. AHH im so sad that was my second ever inverting coaster. awww
  5. I just got back from holidays so i wasn't here to post on the accidnet but now that i'm back and being able to do a bit of snooping. He was 22 and drunk with a male friend, he decided to try and scare a female friend who was in the car behind and fell over and the car came and rolled over his head as the train is elevated off the ground about 5 inches and runs on a sinlge rail in the middle of the car. My sympaties to the family of course but he shouldn't have been messing on the rides especially drunk. That fair is bad news, a few years ago a girl was killed on the roller coaster there as she was too small to ride but was allowed and fell out of her restraint.
  6. If you look at this photo it seems to exit the building where i have shown the turtle srtucture in the previous photo.www.rcdb.com/ig3306.htm?picture=6
  7. Woohoo finally my first ever proper TR. It also includes my first ever POV's for Indiana Jones: Temple of Peril, Space Mountain Mission 2 and The Rock'N'Rollercoaster. Well when I got to Disneyland you can imagine my dissappointment in finding that Big Thunder Mountain was closed for "rountine refurbishment". I was very annoyed. The queue for Buzz Lightyear was understandibly nearly an hour long as it was the newest ride there. You know the rest same old same old. Now the part I was most excited about our second day going to the Movie Studios to get my first construction photos. We got about 6 ride's on R'N'R before a sizeable queue formed. After gettin photos of the Tower of Terror we went on the Magic Carpets to get some sneaky photos of Crush. Anyway enough talk here are the photos. P.s. dont forget to check out the pov's in the members section The last photo of this update of the sign. A head on view of the TOT with the advertisment board Here you can see hole's they have dug in theground for maybe themeing Here is a bit more of the giant turtle structure From Alladin Magic Carpets you get a great view of what i presume to be the future queuing area. In the far right you can see the edge of the turtle frame From just over the wall you can see the steel frame and wire mesh of what looks like it's going ti be a giant turtle. Unfortunatly this is the best phot i have of it From just inside the park this is the view of Crush's Turtle Twister building A back view from in front of the R'N'R A front and side view The building is absolutuly massive. When we were there two days previous, the doors on the inside of the doorframe up the very top of the photo had not been added Once in the park and you exit the main buliding this is the view that greets you. Between the trees from ouside the entrance you can see the top corner of the Crush's Turtlr Tiwster building The big impossing structure of the Tower of Terror from outside the park in the Disney Village More white tarp and scaffolding covering the scenery just before the on-ride photo section Men in hard hats Walk along the same track segment viewing the scenery Scaffolding under the straight flat peice of track before the on-ride photo. The whit tarp concealing behind the scene's More scaffolding along the track towards the on-ride photo section In this photo you can see a big black hole in the top of the mountain that I have never seen before They built a scaffold platform under one of the banked turns leading to the lift hill. It's off to work we go with a .......... Everyone was so interested in the floating pontoon and the work men Refurbishment going on on trhe top of the mine tower Big Thunder Mountain. Closed for refurbishment. You can see the white tarp over the left hand side of the photo near the on-ride photo.
  8. Yeah hit Spinball first and then Oblivion and leave the katanga canyon, gloomy wood and forbidden valley until after lunch. Definitly lap bars on corkscrew.
  9. I know it's the parks main attraction but it should be replaced with a better coaster. The east side of the park has nearly all the rides where as the west has nothing really of worth. Tizona bridged the gap between flight of the phoneix and the dogems/ bravo train but with the dogems gone too it will just be a long ass walk.
  10. HOYS wrote: But could these not be magnetic brakes aswell?! Seeing as though they use them to stop the same coaster?! Also could it be a mid circuit launch similar to the lift hills on California Screamin but horizontal?
  11. When I say clone i don't mean exact as in Batman: The ride at Six flags just this wont be a new concept it will be based on Sheikra. I've not been but from watchin the video Sheikra turns right exiting approx 180 degrees the station and then right again at the top of the hill about 90 degrees from where you can see the second drop off to the left. The new coaster station could be facing a different deirection eliminating the need for those turns say the 90 degree one, as in the video you can see an 180 degree one at the top of the hill before the drop. That would would make the second drop off to the left on the new coaster for the whole lift hill not just at the drop like Sheikra. Sorry for the ramble all degrees are Approx as in example.
  12. HHMM 205' foot sound familiar Roller Coaster: SheiKra Amusement Park: Busch Gardens Africa (Tampa, Florida 33612 USA) Type: Steel - Sit Down Status: Operating since 5/21/2005 Make / Model: Bolliger & Mabillard / Diving Machine Length: 3188' Height: 200' I'd say definitly clone!! Although with a different name of course
  13. I love the WDW version and i can't wait to try the Paris version but i;m goin there in 2 weeks but they haven't finished it yet. They were only building the one in California when i was there so i missed that one too. So the other versions are really different from the one in WDW?
  14. I flew from ireland on a 10 hour flight to ride X! (also to spend 3 weeks with my mates in L.A. Also we have like 3 coasters here 2 Apple/worm coasters and a Pinfari /Zl42 which is 3 hours away!Since it's all we got i drive up there occasionally to stop me detoxing off coasters
  15. I liked space mountain mission 2 ( the whole asteroid sequence) but RNRC is my favourite, until Crush opens of course!
  16. I'd love to go on the Spain/Italy trip. Gotta wait and see the price tag first though!
  17. I agree, i can't wait to feel just raw speed for the whole trip. So True.
