  1. I like the Log Flume, any chance we get can get some more pics of that?
  2. Not trying to sound cranky, or anything, as a response to you gforce1994, I did this park about 5, or 4 years ago, & didn't understand it that much till I got into High School, but I have gotten much better I will keep posting pictures of my favorite park, pretty soon so stay tuned! Why not use a trainer to fix that problem? They're really easy to use.
  3. I'm not a huge fan of parks without custom scenery as I feel like the scenery that came with the game is very limiting but I think you did a great job with what little the game gave you. I do think that the entrance looks a little plain. Maybe even something as simple as a sign on the roof could help. The train station is a little plain as well. I don't want to sound negative, I actually really like the stations for all three coasters (especially Turn of the Century and Crazy Cruiser), and I would like to see you apply the kind of attention to detail you had on those stations with the train station and front gate. Great job so far!
  4. What do you think it would be made out of? (Yes... this was apparently a real thing)
  5. Ninja and Flight Deck too, right? I believe Vortex at Canada's Wonderland goes straight into the lift also.
  6. Six Flags America and Uncle Bernies "Theme Park". That way Uncle Bernies would get some slightly better coasters and Six Flags America's theming would improve.
  7. They seem to be phasing them in, they run those in addition to the regular trams. There was a lot of pushing and shoving to get onto them (usually because people would get separated from their group and would be squeezed into the bus so they couldn't get back out to meet their friends who ended up on the next tram), and that's at Six Flags New England. I couldn't imagine this at SFMM.
  8. I completely agree with all this. I really can't see much remaining after the transformation including Dragon Coaster since when they redid Cypress they deemed Starliner out of their targeted age demographic and I can see the same thing here and them getting rid of it. But I could see them trying to keep some of the classics but while drastically changing them such as turning down the speed of Derby Racer and the whip. It will be interesting to see what they do with the boardwalk though as when I was there a few years ago it was very depressing and felt run down. The Dragon Coaster is the perfect coaster for a Legoland park. The ride is a forceless family coaster ever since they added the Morgan Trains (I'm not being a whiny enthusiast, it's really forceless and kids love it). As far as the Derby Racer and the Whip; the locals would never let them touch those rides and I don't think they would. Besides those rides...have at it. Many of the other rides are portable anyway. PS: The Boardwalk was destroyed by Sandy so it will be all new anyway.
  9. I like how everything is right on top of eachother, any thought to filling in the rest of the land?
  10. 50 bucks says it will still be the best though. That's not a knock on Gatekeeper, just me praising Raptor. I can't believe I'm saying this about a coaster at Cedar Point but I think Raptor is very underrated by the enthusiast community.
  11. I'm like this idea. As long as the Derby Racer, the Whip and the Tiki Bar remain untouched I think it would be great. Ye Olde Mill can be transformed pretty easily into a lego theme and the Dragon Coaster and Wild Mouse are already family style coasters so they would fit right in with Legoland. The best part of this plan is that Superflight is probably on the chopping block and I HATE that ride.
  12. Believe me, I never said those parks were perfect. Great Adventure has a world class coaster lineup but sometimes (mainly during Fright Fest) the paths can get a little dirty (I actually found SFA to be clean, it's just inherently ugly). Still, the coaster lineup (which includes El Toro, the best coaster on the East Coast IMO... sorry I305), Nitro (tons of air for a B&M hyper), Batman, Bizarro and Kingda Ka combined with cool family rides like the Skyway, Skyscreamer and Houdini puts this park way ahead of SFA . The KD path you mentioned doesn't bother me because it's really more of a shortcut than anything. Most people walk through the kiddy area. The ONLY way to Batwing and Superman at SFA is on that horrible path. There is no alternative. I think KD is a beautiful park, and they have a coaster lineup that's much better than SFA's (I love I305 even though El Toro is better), a lot of flats and some great water rides too. BGW and Hershey are beautiful parks with great coasters too. They both have their faults (Hershey's coasters tend to be pretty short and BGW only has a few coasters) but they more than make up for it in theming and quality of the rides they do have. I don't think SFA belongs in the conversation with any of these parks. Maybe it will one day, but it doesn't now.
  13. We can agree to disagree. You think Six Flags America is a good park, I think it sucks. But I never said anything about it not improving. I think it's probably improving but it still sucks.
  14. The last two posters have suggested that we are arguing that the park has not improved. Nobody said that at all... I acknowledged that it probably is improving as did Yamez. Actually my entire post centered around the fact that it probably was improving but as a first time visitor I had no way of judging it's improvement. Sorry but I'm not really sure where you get that from. I never even suggested that it was.
  15. I've noticed that a lot of the people defending this park live in the DC, Maryland area. I think the reason may be that if you've been going to the park for the last few years it sounds like it's improved and you're judging it against itself 5-10 years ago. Unfortunately the rest of us don't always have that "luxury" so we're just comparing it to every other park in the world. When you compare the park to it's own terrible reputation it's probably not all that bad, but when you compare it to other parks (especially the ones within a few hours... Great Adventure, Kings Dominion, BGW, Hershey) it's inferior in pretty much every way possible. Even if you like this park, you have to admit that all of those parks are significantly better (though I understand that Great Adventure and BGW don't have waterparks included with theme park admission).
  16. Can you honestly say that Gotham City at Six Flags America isn't the ugliest and worst themed section of any Six Flags park anywhere? If it's not... I'd love to know what is. Regarding the coasters, I thought they were all rough except for Wild One (it was a little rough but still fun), Batwing (which needs a paint job BADLY and is missing a letter in the sign but delivers a solid ride) and Joker's Jinx which is a decent coaster but after riding Flight of Fear before (which I love) it leaves something to be desired. I didn't know Thomas Town had new additions but I wish one of those additions was a tree anywhere within 500 feet of it. I'm glad you enjoy this park but personally I'll never go back.
  17. Well get ready to be ecstatic. Make sure you go on a hot day to get the full experience. I believe the people that say that this park has improved but I feel bad for them because that must mean they wasted precious hours at this park when it was actually worse than it is now. We went to SFA for the first and last time this summer and it sucked in every way possible. The front of the park and the area by mind eraser is kind of nice but the mosquito breeding ground by the crappy drop tower and the entire back of the "park" are horrible. Every single coaster was running one train when we went with the exception of Mind Eraser (oh joy), there isn't a single bathroom or tree between the entrance to the empty field in the back of the park (I mean "Gotham City") and Batwing which is like 37 miles away. There's also no shade in the Superman queue (don't forget that they only had one train running) or the Blizzard River queue but luckily they have supports up for canopies in the Superman Queue just to taunt you. We only rode Superman and Batwing once because it wasn't worth the effort. If you go to the park make sure you ride these at like 2PM so you get the full experience. I wouldn't want you to miss out. Oh and PLEEEEEEASE RIDE THE TRAIN. It must be seen to be believed. The best part (besides getting smacked with branches over and over again) is when it takes you right to the Superman Entrance (which is normally like a 10 minute walk in the hot sun) but there's no station there. They're just like "HAHAHAHAHAHA F**K YOU WE'RE NOT STOPPING" and they take you back to the cesspool by the drop tower. The only rides that make this place worth a trip are Wild One (if you don't sit in a wheel seat) and Batwing if you haven't ridden a Vekoma flyer. Make sure you sit on the left side of the train when you ride Wild One so you can experience the headchopper when you go under the piece of the boat ride they never bothered to get rid of because they don't want to mislead anyone into thinking they care AT ALL about how this park looks.
  18. I wonder why they didn't opt for the more permanent looking slingshot that Great Adventure got. Though I haven't seen this new ride in person, it looks like crap from the pictures and the video.
  19. I think he was making fun of the fact that someone referred to lake Erie as an "ocean". You're reading too far into this.
  20. This is a really cool coaster! The layout is really unique but also entirely believable.
  21. I'm excited to see how this turns out, especially after people have had a year or so to make their own hacks and objects for it. I've tried No Limits and RCT3 but as of now I don't think there's ever been a more realistic theme park game than RCT2 (the coasters are much more realistic in No Limits but you can't have a functioning park or any other type of ride). A new, realistic 3d theme park game has been a long time coming.
  22. I voted using the ballot helper. That's a great tool. I voted for El Toro, followed closely by Phoneix.
  23. Talk to the people I'm at the park with. Depending on the group you're with waiting in line can be sort of fun. Oh... and I also check the Q bot every 5 minutes to see why it's buzzing... - Kingda Ka is Closed - Kingda Ka is Open! - Kingda Ka is Closed - Kingda Ka is Open! - Upgrade to a Season Pass Today (even though I gave them my season pass as a form of ID) - Kingda Ka is Closed (Can I de-friend Kingda Ka so it will shut up?) - Kingda Ka is Open! (I hate you Q Bot) - El Toro - You can ride now! (I love you Q Bot)
