Fun Spot is open much later than the major parks so you can easily go and ride the coasters after the major parks close. The coasters are a lot of fun and most of the flats have great programs. I've never seen anyone run a Paratrooper like they do.

I agree but really just by default now that they ruined Goliath. Bizarro is a really good coaster... it's not great and it's not what it used to be. Bizarro just doesn't seem as amazing as it used to. The restraints are crap and make the ride much less enjoyable but there's more too it than that, the ride is just sluggish. The airtime isn't even in the same universe as the airtime on rides like El Toro or I305 and the helix section seems slow, rattly and uninteresting. Bizarro is the best ride in the park but only because there are no longer any stand out coasters there. I really enjoy Thunderbolt and Batman but they're not going to crack anyone's top 10 lists.

If you're counting credits I'd suggest riding Goliath first as it breaks down all the time. If you're not counting credits I suggest skipping Goliath, Mind Eraser and Flashback as they're all terrible rides. I do suggest waiting for the front if Bizarro at some point as it's the best seat on the train. Don't miss Tomohawk or Buzzsaw as they're very good flats. Blizzard River is a great rapids ride too. Besides my tip about riding Goliath first I don't have too many others because you'll have no problem riding everything in a day.

This name change will probably only last a day and there will probably only be one sign referring to it... kind of like when Six Flags had to rename Texas Giant to San Francisco Giant after the World Series. -

Since Goliath at SFNE sucks now I'll go with Montezooma's Revenge. -

According to whom? Th13teen is a throughput beast... -
They are launched over by the Great Lake Grandstand but don't watch them from there. The best place to see the Fireworks where you don't have to show up early and don't have to be in a huge mass of people is near El Toro. Cross under El Toro and stand along the fence by the river (over near the bridge that leads to Bizarro but right at the bend where the path goes under El Toro). You have a great view and there are very few people over there.

Wow, they were ready with the graphic. lol -
This is tough. On one hand I love theme parks and highly themed rides but on the other hand my top 2 parks are amusement parks, not theme parks. That being said 5 of my top 7 are theme parks. As of now my top 7 parks are 1) Knoebels 2) Cedar Point 3) Dollywood 4) Universal Islands of Adventure 5) Universal Studios 6) Busch Gardens Tampa 7) Busch Gardens Williamsburg I went with top 6 because after that they all kind of blend together (with parks like Sea World, Great Adventure, Kings Island, Kings Dominion...). It should be noted that while I've been to Epcot, Magic Kingdom and MGM Studios (back when that was it's name) it's been over a decade so I left those off as I couldn't judge them fairly. When we went to Florida this year we didn't set foot on a Disney property but that was more of a time issue than anything. We went to both Universal Parks, Sea World (my girlfriend really wanted to go and I wanted to support them because of the Blackfish backlash), Busch Gardens, Old Town and both Fun Spot parks. I guess I'll probably go with theme parks as the majority of my favorite parks fall into this category even though the top 2 don't. Also, while Cedar Point isn't a theme park I would argue that Frontier Trail is very well themed and that is one of my favorite areas of the park. Random Note: We plan to go back to Florida again next year and hope to get to Disney. We're going to go back to Busch Gardens as they have the best coaster in Florida (Kumba), Cheetah Hunt was closed when we went and we'd like to ride Falcon's Fury. We're obviously going back to Universal because of Potter and they weren't doing a Shamu show when we went to Sea World so we have to go back there too. That means the only way we'll get to Disney is to add more days to the trip. We'd better start saving up now I guess. lol

Haha well I should have rephrased that to say "In America". Take the Paratrooper for example, the only parks I can think of that run a good program on a Paratrooper are Knoebels and Fun Spot. The one at Fun Spot in Orlando is better than the one in Kissimmee but the rim driven models (that stay up and load 2 at a time) are always the best. -
Yeah they closed the other log flume. I assume it was a cost cutting measure. Luckily the one that's still there is easily the better of the two and is one of the few rides left that actually opened with the park. The lines can get a little long, though I've never seen it longer than an hour. Personally I think it's worth the wait.

Great pictures. It's a shame they slowed the flats down though... it's becoming harder and harder to find properly run flat rides. -

If it's a park I visit frequently I always go with the flow and let people do whatever they want. If we go to a park I've never been to with a group of people we still do that but get a skip-the-line pass so we'll get on everything anyway. -
Best B&M Coaster Type?
coasterbill replied to I305's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
As a whole I think I have to go with inverts here. Every B&M invert I've ridden has delivered a great, smooth ride. This is true about most B&M coasters but inverts usually pack a little bit more of a punch. That being said my favorite B&M overall is absolutely Kumba. The way it rips through every single element is amazing. -
You'll probably be able to ride everything in one day without the Flash Pass but the Flash Pass will make your day a whole lot better. If you want to ride Zumanjaro I'd suggest getting whatever level of Flash Pass they make you get to ride it... Flash Pass is also a good idea if you want to do the Safari as you'll have less time for everything else and it usually has a long line. If you're credit whoring I always suggest riding Kingda Ka first because it's the most likely ride to break down, but since you already have the credit I'd go to Nitro, Batman and Batman the Dark Knight first as they'll all be walk ons - 5 minute waits. Remember not to ride Nitro's C Train... let it go empty if you have to or let someone go ahead of you. Usually we follow that path and end up re-riding Nitro and Batman for awhile since it takes them awhile to build up lines. After that the best thing to do is probably to take the Skyride over to Bizarro as it won't have a line. Feel free to ride Skull Mountain or the Mine Train if you want as they're near the skyride stations. Once you get off Bizarro everything will have a line so you can really just do whatever you're in the mood for. That being said if you want to ride Safari and don't want a Flash Pass forget all that and go to Safari immediately. If Zumanjaro is open you could go there too but so will everyone else. Oh... and a random tip but if you've never ridden Houdini's Great Escape I'd suggest riding it. It's the most unique flat ride in the park and no matter how many times I ride it I still can't completely figure out how it works. Edit: Ryan said the opposite of what I did and he works there so maybe you should listen to him. lol
