  1. Yes and yes, but everyone may have that idea this weekend. Just walk to the road from the parking lot and there's a walkway alongside Blue Streak. We do it to beat the early entry crowds to Millennium Force sometimes.
  2. I'm just gonna take a shot at this but I feel like once the season gets in the sling of things you might see them start thinking of things they could put there. For now I'm sure it's still up in the air.
  3. I feel like if Twister were at just about any other park it would be regarded as a world class coaster. Unfortunately at Knoebels it's overshadowed by Phoenix but that ride is really damn near perfect. ... then again if it were at just about any other park it would be awful because it's the type of ride that needs tons of maintenance every season and Knoebels is more than happy to provide it. At a corporate park I would expect it to be rough and trimmed. There's always tons of new wood on Twister. It's been perfectly walking the fine line between out of control and amazing and rough since the day it opened without ever crossing that line.
  4. It's very simple. You get a wristband and that wristband lets you cut the line (most rides have designated lines for them, if not, it's up the exit). That's all there is to it. And remember, you can't skip the lines on a few top attractions (I forget which ones they are this year) unless you have FastLane Plus. I'd assume Valravn is one of them. Yeah Fastlane Plus is a must. Be warned, you still have to wait with Fastlane. Some parks in the chain (like Kings Dominion) basically let you on everything in 5 minutes but on rides like Magnum, Gatekeeper, Dragster and especially Millennium Force and Maverick expect to wait a bit. Generally about 15 -20 minutes. Maverick's line can actually be up to 45 with Fastlane but it still saves you a huge chunk of time.
  5. Suprised to see these threads merged, I actually think they're very different things since one was talking about a single moment of airtime and the other was talking about a ride as a whole (sort of like El Toro's first drop vs Phoenix for it's relentless run of successive airtime hills at the end). Oh well.
  6. This is actually a great idea for a thread and I'm not sure I've seen it before. This should be a tougher choice than it is with 300 or so coasters to pick from (for me) but the only real dilemma is which hill on El Toro I'm going to pick. It's between the first drop and the hill immediately after it but I think I'm leaning towards agreeing with you and saying the first drop. Honorable mention to every other hill on El Toro, Maverick's second to last hill, Fury's first drop and Phoenix's final bunny hop. There are other great airtime coasters but I prefer ones with non obstructive restraints that allow you to throw your hands up and enjoy it. Maverick somehow snuck in though. Lol
  7. Or they expect everyone to be like "meh... let's go ride Maverick".
  8. How about this one?? #NoFilter (At least no filter according to Cedar Point.) ... But "dat" Lens Flare. lol
  9. At first I thought this was ridiculous but to this observant rider's credit it does appear that every seatbelt on the train must have failed as there doesn't appear to be any sign of seatbelts in that picture. Or this one from before the ride opened for the season... That must have been terrifying watching them all fail and disappear like that one by one. That's the only explanation I can think of for this one... Thoughts and prayers, thoughts and prayers. Spectacular journalism by the Daily Mail as always. Nothing gets by those guys...
  10. Probably on a theme park related website... maybe like a forum or something. Anyway good luck finding something like that! Nobody's going to want to go with you if you fine them though, even if it's in Canadian money.
  11. Does it annoy anyone else that the train doesn't stop by Superman? It could save people a walk in the hot sun through the ugliest part of the park with absolutely no shade, bathrooms or anything worth looking at whatsoever. The fact that the train goes right by it and doesn't stop is almost cruel. PS: That's the worst train ride of any park ever. Don't get me wrong... Dorney's train made a valiant effort (not the Zephyr, the upper train) but why does it go through the backstage area? What the hell? lol
  12. Everything about this post is wrong. It's actually almost a remarkable achievement...
  13. I just popped in to say that Instagram filters are the worst. Ride looks great though. Lol
  14. I was never a fan of the Trabant / Wipeout but this looks like a ton of fun. By the way why does "Reverse Time" have a clock logo but spin clockwise? I mean, wouldn't it be the reverse... who the hell cares but just wondering. lol
  15. We're going to Rehoboth Beach next weekend for Mother's Day so we'll absolutely pop in to Funland for a little skeeball and a Paratrooper ride. Love that little park...
  16. Fury? Come on you're just screwing with us...
  17. Seems like a water tower to me, I wonder if it's replacing the other one or just in addition to the other one.
  18. I think it's campfires. You can smell it on your clothes when you leave. Always loved that... it just screams "Knoebels".
  19. I think that was the only one they had open. That was really my only critique of the way they handled the situation.
  20. Glad to see I'm not the only one with severe fury fever. That thing is mind blowing, I can't believe it's a modern B&M.
  21. We interrupt your regularly scheduled thread to bring you sh*t hats... Now available at Magic Mountain...
  22. No. I assume 99.9% of the alerts would be alerting me each morning that I should use Got2B on my hair to keep it in place.
  23. Came across this video with a few cool scenes from yesterday. Caution: Mind-numbingly stupid captions.
