Awesome update. Thanks for sharing. Out of curiosity, how are crowd levels in general at this park? I see them expanding rapidly and dumping a ton of money into new attractions but every update I see shows the park on a completely dead day. -

Don't forget Wooden Warrior which is also better than Wildcat or Yankee Cannonball (lol the Yankee Cannonball army is coming for me now). -
Rollercoaster doubts
coasterbill replied to Henry M's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yes because you race for the stalled train in front of you. It's just like how Dragster is a racing coaster because it makes revving noises and you "race" for the sky. ... vroom vroom -
Look for a guy with a patch jacket on the bus. There's guaranteed to be one and he'll totally be alone. Just tell him to pass the time, if you make friends with him you can hang out at the park. Suggested talking points include (but are not limited to) B&M rattle, how you wish B&M went back to making forceful rides like they did in the 90's, How Michigan's Adventure is being mistreated by the chain and why it's not fair (list reasons) and how it's bullsh*t that Rye Playland won't let adults ride the kiddy coaster even though they should totally be able to because it's an ACE Coaster Classic.

Brit lost too which is especially surprising because she doesn't even know she entered. -

Damn, I lost. You suck. Oh man oh man oh man Post of the Year Candidate I'm glad someone appreciates my bull*** -
I can't speak for Robb but in my opinion Safari Off Road Adventure is honestly one of the best (if not the best, and yes I know El Toro exists) attraction the park has ever added. They always had the safari but few people really drove through it unless they hated their cars. Just from the Medusa / Bizarro lift hill you could always see animals sitting on cars, ripping out windshield wipers, sh*tting on cars... it never appealed to a lot of people for that reason. We'd had passes for years and never once did the safari. Now it's a must-ride every single time we visit the park. They have an amazing collection of animals, it's a really long ride and (by Six Flags standards) the new Camp Aventura area they added is great. I think I could say pretty confidently that aside from Disney / Universal it's probably the best non-coaster (or log flume because I'm entirely biased towards log flumes) ride at any theme park in America. The ride also appeals to absolutely every demographic and age group. I can't possibly say enough about how great of an addition Safari Off Road Adventure was.

Don't worry. Most of the people performing the "TPR parallel investigation" in this thread aren't familiar with it either but that hasn't stopped them. Anyway, that's not a silly question at all. Actually it's a total reasonable question so it seems a little out-of-place in this thread. The website says 2-3 riders so it doesn't seem like they require 3, but maybe someone who frequents the park can shed some light on how they generally operate it.

So you are saying you really enjoyed Rollies Coaster? Honestly Rollies Coaster was kind of fun. I mean, it's a Pinfari. They never deliver overly thrilling rides (well, except that one time... ) but it was fun and even though the restraints were dumb as hell I didn't find it uncomfortable. -

Agreed, Morey's Flat selection is second only to Knoebels in my book. I would absolutely agree with that. At least in the U.S. -
Wait, they're announcing it 45 minutes before the park opens on the main midway? Why? Wouldn't they want guests to be able to be there? They should do it during operating hours on the main midway that way there will be plenty of people to see... Oh right. Yeah I guess you may as well do it at 9:15. Same thing...

When I hear "new flat" at a corporate park I generally don't care, but when I hear "new flat" at Morey's that could potentially be amazing. "It" is proof of that. I love Great White and Flitzer and really enjoy the other coasters too (well except one... lol) but I think "It" is better than all of them. I'm excited to see what this is. Morey's doesn't screw around in the flat ride department. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

This is a complete contradiction to your initial complaint. Oh for f**k's sake. This park does not have a customer service problem. Just a few examples... - They keep all ride lines open about ten minutes AFTER the park closes. In contrast, Six Flags has started closing them early so they don't have to pay their staff to work extra hours. They routinely cut ride lines off early chain-wide. - They never ever ever give up on rides and always try to run them at maximum capacity. Just this year I've had people at BGT and Darien lake basically tell me by late afternoon that they probably wouldn't open (insert ride here) since it was already later in the afternoon anyway. I don't even mind that, but Cedar Point never gives up. A few months ago Dragster was down all day, opened 15 minutes before park close and they left the line open well after close so that people could get a ride in. I've seen them do things like open up smaller rides like Sky Ride with 30 minutes left in the day when it was down all day for wind, they run all of their rides at maximum capacity almost all the time (unless weather is an issue) and we all saw what they did with Dragster last week when some people thought it would be down for the season. Last year they replaced an Iron Dragon lift chain in less than a week and 2 years in a row they replaced a Gatekeeper chain in less than 3 days. Goliath at Magic Mountain was down for about 6 months with the same problem. - Most of the staff is pretty well versed in customer service. We're not talking Disney or Universal here but the staff is generally really good. We've encountered some great people, usually in the rides and games departments but even in retail and food service (though food service is usually the worst). For a Cedar Fair park the staff is great. It's not amazing but it doesn't bother me. Go to Six Flags New England and then tell me that Cedar Point doesn't care about customer service. In my opinion you're spoiled. Counting today you'll be spending 6 out of the last 8 days at the park and you're complaining because it might rain so you've decided going in that you're going to have a bad day. Look, the rain policy sucks a big one. But in my opinion you'd have a much better time if you didn't go in with such unreasonable expectations for every single thing to be perfect. It's a Cedar Fair park. It's not a perfect park (where do you think you are? Elysburg, PA) but it's a great park and it's much better in the service department than most other parks with a similar price point. I have very few complaints about Cedar Point. -

PPP isn't really an enthusiast event since it's open to the public and most of the clientele is just normal people. The big draw for PPP is actually the Covered Bridge festival. Sure there are plenty of enthusiasts, but if you avoid the souvenir swap meet, bonfire and Kozmos Curves queue at 9:30 PM you hardly notice them. We'll be there. And yeah I know by definition we're all coaster enthusiasts and some coaster enthusiasts are totally cool to hang out with, but have you ever been to an enthusiast event? It's horrible. I swear to god I don't know where they find most of these people. Also... could this be a teaser? Morey's Facebook
