Flying Turns first. It has the lowest capacity and slowest lines. Then Impulse. After that, you should be fine.

I'd hit Flying Turns first, but you can make a case for Impulse. It occasionally runs one car, which is horrible.

it will be packed and you'll likely want more than one day. .there's just so much to do and see there. as to the coasters? Twister & Phoenix are both people-eaters, so don't let the lines scare you off. Flying Turns will get the longest line, and moves the slowest. . . so I'd say go there 1st and wait in the line (as it won't get any shorter as the day goes on). Impulse is just a "meh" coaster to me, and tends to get long lines because it's towards the "front" of the park. .but that line does shorten as the day goes. Don't miss the chairlift, the main Carousel (with the rings), the haunted house (upcharge, but worth it), the Pioneer Train, the flyers, the bumper cars (even tho i dont' do bumper cars. . they are classics). . . hell. . everything at Knoebels is great. Play Fascination, do the museums, enjoy the pool if it gets too hot. all the food there is good, but I'm sure folks will point you to don't miss beyond the Periogies & and the Cheese on a Stick.

What was meant to be a real-timeish thread for live trip reports has turned into trip reports of days gone by lol but don't fear, I will complete all and be back on real time status before you know it! With that said, lets go! Picture it, June 09, 2018. Carowinds is still reeling from the opening of camp snoopy and we are wondering what is going on with the construction area near the water park. But me, i'm here for the taste of the carolinas food festival! Lets begin. . . I spot two trains. . . Trains look empty so it's gonna be a good day! First stop. . . Carousel Park! With revamping planet snoopy to camp snoopy, the park decided to move the carousel out of the kids area. I think it is great idea as it puts more family attractions all over the park. Gotta love those classic arrow loopers. I am low key glad Carowinds got the standard Mack mouse as it looks so cute and really fits in. Lets head to the county fair! I just love how the park took a once quiet and boring area and filled it with rides and excitement. Lets be nosey! Not good enough, let's go higher! The waterpark is kinda nice. . . I hope they never get rid of that bowl slide, but they really REALLY need a mat racer. Maybe one day. Anyway lets go to some tiktok dancing before tiktok becomes a thing. Enough of that, time to eat. First up, a pull pork egg roll wrap thingy. How about some shrimp and grits. Some bacon wrapped quail. Some fake street corn. Lets dig into dessert, first up is a peach cobbler. Cant remember this one lol. Before I head out, lets go check out Camp Snoopy! New restrooms! Took the rest of my food tickets and got my favs I tasted to go! Until the next adventure. . .

As far as family coasters go, Big Bear Mountain is excellent. Onboard audio along with everyone screaming is fun. Ride is smooth and twisty. Nothing special but a great ride the family can all enjoy together. Also, all the theming besides the big, stupid circular disc is really well done. Great looking ride.

June 2, weeelllll I'm gunna be heading back from Dollywood and I have to go by the Hershey area on the way back to NJ, I'd be in the area on the 3rd. This works out quite superbly! I am stoked. Hershey's lineup just gets better and better with time

I was off by an hour. Heavier rain is starting to move in now, but looks like all the important stuff has been open with no lines so I'm sure the 3.5 hours you had with lighter rain was more than enough! Sometimes it is worthwhile to visit when the weather isn't so...clement.

Only the very back of the very last car of the train would have to hit 500 to get a "legitimate" record, and if they put (presumably) LIMs the whole way up the spike, they could even move the train up there (at a decent pace, like Maverick's "lift hill") before releasing, then boosting on the old launch track. Either way, it will be a smashing success for the park but I have to imagine a disappointment for fans of the rush of acceleration of the original (like me).
