  1. Yeah, I always applaud "weird" in this industry, especially from B&M (unless it's an Orlando standup coaster being built in 2023, then no).

  2. Yeah, I’m locking this. I’m… confused.

  3. Very recently, groups of enthusiasts and the press were invited to tour the World of Jumanji building site, witness the new B&M quadruple launch shuttle wing coaster 'Mandrill Mayhem' testing in person and speak to the land's designer John Burton. The 42 mph coaster has been confirmed to have a reversed backrow that will also not come with an upcharge. It was confirmed that a lot more planting was on the way before the area opens in mid-May, and a lot of work is taking place on crafting the area's immersive theming, which will also comprise of a mini recreation of the bazaar from 'Welcome To The Jungle', Alan Parish's treehouse as the Mandrill Mayhem station building, rockwork and sand dunes from 'The Next Level', and of course most of the area's planting (only four percent of which had been planted at the time of the hardhat tour). It was confirmed in the British tabloids that actor Rhys Darby, who plays guide Nigel Billingsay in the Dwayne Johnson movies, narrates guests as they walk around the land. A lot more information in this detailed breakdown on the hardhat tour with pictures from Attraction Source. I have posted some of the officially released pictures below, as well as embedded videos of the hardhat tour, testing footage and an interview with the area's designer.

  4. ^I have always believed in Karma and balance in the amusement park industry. SF and CF cannot both be great at the same time and they both can't be terrible. This has been since the 90's. They seem to ebb and flow and go back and forth and put some sort of terrible balance into the world!

  5. As Bill said, it’s really a crap shoot any day of the year as to what’ll actually be open. Realistically expect to ride half those rides you had your heart set on, especially if you only have until the mid afternoon. Good luck out there.

  6. Yeah, basically just rope drop whatever is actually open. Riddler and Goliath have been closed for awhile and I have no clue when they'll reopen. My advice is to go somewhere else, but if you insist then just adjust your expectations.

  7. Move on everyone. Also, Anyone who thinks ChickFilA isn't in the hate business is wrong. They're just better at hiding it after the backlash. Also, this is the most excitement CP will be getting this season!

  8. My last public comment in response to the above: I will not be apologizing for anything, as posting a link to a highly credible news site (USAToday) and asking for someone to back up their assertion is not something that I need to be sorry for. That is all....

  9. @Haymaker You will have a PM in a few minutes demonstrating our point; not trying to clutter the thread with off-topic-ness. I expect a public apology to Bert and myself.

  10. They do have a fair number of Spotify play lists. But it's usually more the atmospheric music, not park specific music.

  11. We've been trying to figure out was there any notice to this removal and we just missed it or was this kind of out of the blue? Seems like they could have made an easy years worth of rent had they announced this and all the coaster people would have made the trek! I will add to what others have said, it was an amazing and crazy intense ride. I do have to wonder though, can you imagine in this day and age had a roller coaster derailed and killed three people I can't imagine it would be back open six months later!!?? And then stayed open another 30 years after that! Here's our video from our one visit a long time ago featuring the even more insane backwards car as well!

  12. You know as well as I do (and the rest of the y'all wackadoos here) that the turntable will be used for the first year until they take one boat into permanent "maintenance" (read - parts bitch) and they're stuck with one boat that still needs to be spun around every single cycle, resulting in even longer cycle times and lower capacity. It's the Six Flags Way*. That being said, we also all know that when your ride is complete you're still going to be sitting in the boat for five minutes until they finally check and clear the second boat to rotate you back into the station. It's the Six Flags Way*. * - Does not apply to SFFT.

  13. I think the biggest reason for the delay was originally they weren't going to include the turntable (which would be horrendous dispatch times) and after they got to building it Six Flags was like yeah go ahead and give us the turntable after all so then they had to wait on the turntable from the manufacturer, good idea to include it but stupid to decide not to include it from the get go.
