  1. While I agree with this sentiment and yes, of course all guests should follow the park rules, we’ve all been dealing with this for a year now, and it should come as no surprise to anyone that compliance and enforcement of mask policies is going to be hit or miss. We see it at the grocery store, the gym, the mall, hell even on airplanes where rule following is traditionally excellent. It’ll only get worse this summer as more and more people get vaccinated and cases/deaths drop, because I’m sure masks and distancing will be with us at all parks for the entire 2021 season. So if anyone here is the type of person to get bent out of shape over a mask being worn under a nose, or a 16 year old kid park employee not telling a grown man to wear their mask properly, or if you insist on telling the group behind you to please stand on their blue dot, maybe you should rethink your park plans this summer as well. - Me, who just wore his mask properly outdoors walking through downtown Seattle to the gym even though no one would have said anything had I not, and who’s had his vaccine. *None of that was directed toward u4icmusic specifically, just a blanket statement for all 2021 parkgoers.

  2. Last year, front row for me was the least brutal. It was still pretty bad though, to the point where unless your daughter is concerned about building her credit list, it would probably be in her best interest to skip it. Then again, kids have more resilient bodies than us adults LOL.

  3. Los Angeles and Orange Counties are eligible to move into the orange tier, as of tomorrow. This means parks can now operate at 25% capacity (instead of 15%), indoor rides/buildings are now limited to 25% capacity (instead of 15), and indoor dining can take place with 25% capacity.

  4. Yes, you can. As for El Toro, it’s sitting there with front-loaded water dummies in both trains. I’m sure it’s been testing or they had planned on testing it. Maintenance was working on it but not on the structure. It’s a mechanical issue that probably came up in pre-season testing (the ride is even certified for the season on the state website). This is probably not a big deal and it almost-definitely wasn’t planned.

  5. Speaking of Batwing, the crew working that ride was incredible. They were averaging 30-60 second dispatches (as long as the ride didn't go down, which was beyond their control). That's amazing for any ride, let alone that one. Especially since it usually has dispatches in the 5-10 minute range. The operations at Six Flags America were way better than usual. I'm convinced they kidnapped a Cedar Fair staff.

  6. Seeing the pictures are making me even more excited for the park! Seeing it come to fruition is amazing! I can't wait to see how this park grows! I think it'll be incredible!

  7. you can't miss the preferred parking at Fiesta. . you pass it 1st, before you get to the General parking. (there will be someone at the entrance cones to the preferred area). as to your Flash Pass - personally, I would not waste them on Superman (it's a people eater. . . even if a long line, it moves fast), or Roadrunner (which can get long lines if the park is crowded, but at the end of the day it's an Arrow Mine train. a good one, but still). I'd use those 2 "saved" skip the lines for Wonder Woman (capacity is awful, and the ride is incredible), and Joker (due to the queue, they often run non-full cycles, as it takes them a long time to get folks thru the fun-house - which is AWESOME by the way, and the Flash Pass gets you in line just in front of the funhouse instead of the long snaking queue. it's your 1st time at the park so will mention: Poltergeist Flash Pass will put you directly in the Station (it's the best skip the line in the park), Iron Rattler puts you one ramp down from the station - but they have been holding the general line before that point, so it's basically a station wait. The issue you'll have is if the park IS crowded? the Iron Rattler flash pass entrance is a decent way inside the main queue - so if busy, and the line spills out of the queue? you'll have to get past people to get to the Flash Pass entrance. (same thing with Wonder Woman - flash pass entrance is way down in the queue, so you'll have to "excuse me" past a lot of folks to get to that entrance. . . but people are polite at SFFT and will move over to let you pass). rides unique to SFFT not to miss: Hustler (it's teacups themed to pool balls.. fantastic) Daredevil Dive (newest ride, so might have a wait) the boardwalk spinner rides: Spinsanity (next gen Tilt-a-whirl) & Wave Runner (Huss Scrambler that runs a great program) Pirates of the Deep Sea (also on Boardwalk, behind wave runner) - an inhouse created dark shooting ride. Impressive as all hell for a Six Flags park. Bug's Whitewater Rapids. (a wonderfully themed flume ride in the Spassburg section. It's been down for refurb on my last visit in late Feb, but I think is supposed to be back up?)

  8. 1 Mayan Mindbender -it's an outdoor coaster now called "Hornet" at Wonderland Park in Texas. (Canobie Coaster was there recently) and there is one slide complex left from Waterworld - at Six Flags Fiesta Texas

  9. This perfectly sums up my thoughts. Between this and Velocicoaster (not to mention Hagrid's too), I am stoked that Intamin has a new presence in the U.S. I really hope they can form a new relationship with Cedar Fair because that is the only other chain I can see spending the money needed for a large scale Intamin like this. Also, I hate saying things like "[this] will be the best in the world!" but, uh, yeah. That 95-degree drop off the top hat towards the river with no trims is going to be one of the best drops in the world.

  10. It's such a shame that this world-class roller coaster has zero theming and a station that looks like it was made in a day. I know money is really tight so we probably won't see too much more done with it But I think it would be cool if they added some real theming to it down the line and they could even do a re-launch of the ride. It's a stretch but you never know...

  11. Yeah, I mean I get it...these are not exactly simple toys and it is still kinda early, kinks will always need some time to iron out (and I'm assuming they will be in a month and half from now) but it IS a little odd that after the huge retracking it's running....not terribly consistently and with just 1 train. I guess this is where I wish I knew the engineering aspects....like I have no doubt there are understandable reasons, but to a pleb like me it is like "what's the issue?" "How can there be issues running 2 trains its all RMC, whats the problem?" "I thought the problem was track deterioration, with that resolved why are the trains acting up?/Whats going on?" if anyone knows feel free to let me know! (If don't wanna make it a public thing esp as they tend to draw random debates feel free to PM me) EDIT: On another note. Even some of the not usual grumblers were a bit grumbly about the MM changes. Well, looks like they added trims to the already neutered part? (Note: No idea if active, didn't take photo etc but gotta share)
