ernierocker
^I think you should save Disney for last. Agreed. Steel Dragon really is an impressive looking ride. Especially in this photo: It's a shame it doesn't ride as great as it looks.

DerekRx
Both Nagashima and Parque Espana look to be great parks, so I'll definitely have to go back for those, but Universal just looks way better than I thought! Thanks for sharing the pics, Hanno, can't wait to see the rest of the trip through your lenses, and especially excited for Disney (yes, I know it's going to make us all sad looking at them instead of being there). Hhappy
So after a few days at Disney (lovely break between trips) it was time for the Tokyo Japan trip part. First stop Fuji-Q. I'm pretty sure we were very lucky (and thank you Robb for waiting at that ticket office most of the morning to get those fast passes). No rain, plenty of sunshine.. Mount Fuji (without clouds) and pretty light crowds. Operations still sucked though and i can only imagine the horror this park can be with bigger crowds (or rain or without those fast passes) Times between dispatching trains on Dodonpa or Fujiyama did not make any sense and waiting for the next train (for pictures) felt like taking forever (at times) Dodonpa was fun but not as extreme as i had heard, Fujiyama was fun for the first bit.. but those transitions just suck. Hamster coaster was a nice surprise. Mad mouse.. yeah.. weird mouse and the kiddie.. grin.. Here's a bunch of pictures from that day. Enjoy Omg, i think we are getting close apparently this is a very unique sight te be had.. hardly any clouds.. nobody said something about bears early morning entrance area first stop, mouse credit looking back from the mouse lining up for the mouse.. and yes.. the big coaster behind the mouse was closed.. guess i'll have to go back they are happy they did not have to wait 3 hours to get this credit no worries, just buckle up how's it going? you will see many mountain pictures in this update Dodonpa train Fujiyama station building hold the press, no clouds?? it's tall, it's big and they are working on it.. i've been on X2.. don't care about this one.. that's pretty high hairtime on dodonpa amazing sky you could get very close to this coaster, imagine the pictures i could have taken.. another look at that big coaster random riders spinning random riders how's it going new coaster and mountain? ferris wheel ok, this does look messed up kiddie credit time rock'n roll dude, rock and roll just another skyline image enjoying the big turn extreme hairtime i think i heard these but i'm not sure anymore.. kiddie flume fun kiddie credit time plane and airtime.. does make sense.. right? from the bridge over the Dodonpa track how's it going tree? the other train almost at the top going down... bye bye train those supports are really big.. walking around Hamster coaster station ok, back to dodonpa more blue sky plenty of choice from the ferris wheel (wishing the windows were cleaner) bye bye almost finished (when we were there) weird mad mouse trying to get another picture.. darn you reflection sunshine going down random riders testing the new Gerstlauer those folks look familiar how's it going?? ok, just another look at the Gerstauer during final construction stage that lifthill looks funky imagine all the awesome pictures you could get here with trains on track sunshine another (almost) cloud free mountain trying to be artsy (fail) looking back towards ferris wheel and dodonpa time for some more Fujiyama pictures happy riders first drop fun (spot the tpr members) how's it going?? turning small train.. big coaster just in case you forgot where we are another first drop fun moment having fun?? ok, here we go... ouch yeah, that appears to be a different expression

MrSum1_55
Fuji Q ride ops really have a ton of talent. Fujiyama and Dodonpa have dispatches that are insanely slow, yet they both have just one lap bar! Even SFMM can dispatch Goliath consistantly without stacking, and the Japanese are known for efficiency. Does Fuji Q seek out the slowest staff they can find? I would most certainly like to see them try to dispatch a flying coaster! It would probably take them 15 minutes to a train, if that.
QueerRudie
Another incredible update Hanno- and I have to say the pics of Fuji-Queue's new Eurofighter do look stunning; sadly, it will have a whopping 16 person per hour capacity once the car is actually loaded... I'm also glad Mother Nature did her best to make Japan's version of SixFlags America actually LOOK right, too!
beatle11
The park can't even get it right. It's spelled Fujiqueue. Sounds like you guys had about as good a day as you could have hoped for.
krazekiddd
I swear that Trent and I didn't coordinate our shirts that morning. Love the shots Hanno. I miss Fuji-Q but only because its in Japan.

cfc
I'm glad that TPR finally had a decent day at Fuji Q, but the park still has a low "batting average." Great pictures, Hanno--especially of Dodonpa (a ride I sort of liked).
RoCo
More amazing images... No matter how they ride, those Fujiyama trains have never looked better. This is the first time I've seen them in bright sunshine?! Really cool. And when that Eurofighter opens, it looks like this park is going to be the vertical/beyond-vertical coaster mega-playground. Hhappy
Second part of the day was spent at the Tokyo Teleport area. Joypolis and Spin Bullet come to mind. Within Joypolis there's a gazillion things you can do. Playing games, riding funky similators and watching other attractions.. Words cannot describe an i do hope the pictures will help. Next to Joypolis there are more places with crane machines, food and other fun things. Outside there can be a nice look at part of the city. Here we go with some pictures. Day 2 (Part 2): Tokyo Teleport The train station funky building outside that's pretty much where we're heading to but first you have to cross this road first stop (for many) Spin Bullet But there's more, so i decided to explore before torturing myself sponsored by Cocal-Cola?? ok, how about a race game with real size cars?? some funky Hummer game Storm-G.. wait untill you see a later image.. Not sure what this was, but it did look fun ok, this place is "not" that big.. time to move on Halfpipe thing how's it going?? for the House of the dead fans airhockey without disks?? awesome screens canball Prisonbreak ok, this could be fun.. wild river up another level Sonic corner That's a lof of Sonic games yeah, made it to the top floor spin bullet cars from above yeah, messed up credit shark game Storm-G doing it's thing one big blur of rolling motion different kind of game there's way more in that one building to see and try but here are some pictures from outside reflection it's getting darker i believe the bridge used to have more lights but due to energy consumption these were turned of one last look , next stop Tobu Zoo. Stay tuned for more updates and feel free to comment.
RoCo
Man, do I wish Sega would build a few of those Joypolises (Joypoli?) in the States. That whole joint does look fun (bummer that the coaster gets such a bad wrap). And those White Canyon trains are just a giant pile of fail... but great shots of them!
