Token Yankee Guy Posted December 31, 2005 Share Posted December 31, 2005 In the early afternoon of New Years Eve, my Dad wanted to tear down the tree house in our back yard that has fallen in dis-repair for the last...2-3 years. We've had it up since I was in Middle School and it was time to tear down a piece of our childhood, just like we did with the rotting swing set earlier this summer. Now for some photos the pieces of the treehouse have been piled up against the old play set in the back. This will all be taken out next summer when Dad and I re-roof our house. The first floor is all what remains Dad pulls down the last support beam Erica helps push the last of the 2nd floor down Who wants to play in the tree house!? Yes, we live on the edge of danger when it comes to these things. We were surprise the thing just didn't give way and collapse. My dad begins working on hitting the cross beams to bring down the 2nd floor Overall photo so far Erica has fun jumping on that side beam to help tear down the 2nd floor the 2nd floor floor is all what remains. Back railing has been completely taken down Erica and I begin demolition the treehouse provided a nice lookout to Pleasant View Rd One of the primary reasons why the treehouse is no longer safe. the first floor of the treehouse.
