Major fire started by a car fire north of Epcot's parking lot and monorail line this evening at 8:00. This is not the fire at the intersection of 192 and the new toll road which has affected AK for a few days now.

Some say there was also lightning involved (?!)

I mean it is kind of scary, yet I don't think its a major problem. I'm sure if it was, everyone would be evacuated in time.

As for the park, well im not to sure...

^^Not even worth a thread? Hmm....first major fire on Disney Property ever, and during a drought and it isn't contained.

If its not worth a thread, its not worth a reply then is it?

p.s. regarding the poll: not everything is serious, gawd forbid.

meh, fires happen, even at Disney. It doesnt even look that big.. kinda like a large bonfire.

My main concern is whether or not someone was smart enough to put a pig over it

Please...I worked down there for three summers, and every year there was a major fire on or just outside of property. They even had that fire at the power plant at Epcot a couple of years ago! Anyone who lives in that area can tell you that fires are common in the summer.

You know it's a major fire when you have ash raining on you at Epcot, and Japanese tourists asking "Why it always smell like barbecue here?"
