OldJJman
OK. So I'm up here in Reno for a friend's birthday. Well, according to RCDB.com, there was a coaster nearby. Had to go. Hope you like the pics. JJ See - It really is a McDonalds! Even a new retro McDonalds for Elissa! Golden Arches and all. So it was 78 degress. But snow always looks good in the distance. Wild Island is not a Derek friendly park. Awesome Miler construction techniques! Mean Miler airtime hill! Double down goodness! Speeding down the 38ft. first drop!! Yep. A slightly overgrown Miler. (BTW - #619 for me.) The reason for living! Credit whoring! OOOH! Fancy map, so I can't get lost. An average FFC, with a good waterpark, bowling, and food. On the way to Wild Island (6 miles from Reno) I noticed the Skycoaster and Reverse Bungee. I wasn't even here for 20 minutes when I paid for the weekend! This is where I stayed. Nice place, but all of Reno is still living in the 70's.
SharkTums
Awesome TR! I never quite got Reno. It's really scary!!! Although a crappy credit and a McDonalds...well now I'll have to get there!
kidaftersunset
Reno could be worse ... next time, you should come stay in that snow. It's where I live! (Try staying at a newer hotel that's closer to downtown, such as the Silver Legacy. It's not half bad!)
DerekRx
With a coaster that awesome I can't believe that school took a bus trip to SFMW to ride coasters! Looks like you hit it big, money AND a credit. And lucky you, you didn't get pulled over by Reno's awesome cops.

cfc
Did you check out the Atlantis resort? My friend Linda is the voice of their elevators. I remember when the Peppermill was just a nice coffee shop.

And here's another credit for you (at South Lake Tahoe) if you don't already have it--Rolling Thunder at the cleverly named Tahoe Amusement Park (http://rcdb.com/id652.htm). I think I may have rode this little sucker back when I was in high school.

I think I may have rode this little sucker back when I was in high school. Yeah, I had seen that. But, I didn't have the time (I know, only 2+ hours, credit and back) because of the people I was with. It could have been worse, as I really didn't care to go. Oh well, more $$ for crap I really don't need. JJ
What Now
Ya know, that has to be one of the best coasters in Nevada.

And yes they may be close together but they are different. That snow in the pictures will be there until next year, it always is, some of it never melts. And that mcdonalds is no where near the water park, but yes the park is Derek friendly esspecially the water park. They actually have an island that is for 21 and over only very nice for tropical drinks. I live about 5 minutes from that place and they finally put in new slides after years and years of waiting. DerekRx
^Thanks for the info! The waterpark will definitely be on my list of must visits within the next couple of years. After getting my slide and drink on, I can move on over to get the credit before being arrested by Reno 911 for Drunk in Public
