Gnome Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 So, if you've been watched the show this week, you'd already know that. But I wanted to give a heads up to those people who don't. What could be better than the end of a season and a theme park?
okinawaboy11 Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Well, it doesn't really matter consindering the episode has already aired. Does it not?
alpengeist04 Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 So, if you've been watched the show this week, you'd already know that. But I wanted to give a heads up to those people who don't. What could be better than the end of a season and a theme park? Â Yea, I saw them getting launched in the previews for next week. I guess I'll have to watch just for the coasters.
rollermonkey Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 As I can't watch American TV, can someone tell me if the construction is visible in the background? In Japanese shows that aired before the announcement, it seemed as if the crews weren't allowed to film the unfinished Eejanaika. Â I haven't seen anything yet since the announcement.
B.Toast Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 The contestants should have to stand on each others heads as they ride Dodonpa. That'd be pretty bad ass.
SharkTums Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Ok, so I didn't watch the episode, but I fast forwarded to the previews. I'm really wondering what kind of challenge involves riding Fujiyama, Dodonpa, and the Giant Frisbee?!?!? Patience for waiting in line?!?!? Â Oh well, I'll watch it and yell at the TV like normal!!!
rollermonkey Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 ^ Tell me about it, Elissa. Â Now if they have to ride without restraints, THAT would be challenging! Â Hang on!
disneygurlz2s Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 LOL.... I knew you guys would know which park and which rides..... we just got done watching Wednesday's episode. We had to TIVO because Samantha had her spring concert that night. Â Yeah BJ and Tyler!!! Â Shari
the sound Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Maby they need to find a ride operator, and work out which ride he is at!
-Zingo- Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Just a reminder that this airs tonight. As far as the challenge goes it looks like they have to either read clue information or search for their next clue while on the rides. Should be interesting.
trustkill22 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Im watching right now. Don't tell me they're going to use Titan!!! Â Edit: Alright I understand they're using three rides. I like that idea
kennywood!007 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Im watching it too! I bet they ride none cause they are all chicken!! lol
alpengeist04 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Yea, I just watched. It was ok, they had to find a clue on one of the three rides they went on. A guy was holding up a sign, lol. What a shock, it was on the third ride.
Wes Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 The three rides were a Giant Frisbee, Dodonpa, and Fujiyama.
CoasterExpert13 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 hey guys what channel or station does it come one?? Also what time does it usually air?
rollermonkey Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 So, was the construction prominently displayed, just happening in the background or completely off camera? I'm curious how it compare to the Japanese programs filmed there lately. Â Incidentally, the first POV of Eejanaika will likely be part of a morning show, but most of the camerawork will be reverse POV of the rider.
alpengeist04 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I didn't see it, so I'm going to say completely off camera.
Gnome Posted May 18, 2006 Author Posted May 18, 2006 I think the filming for the show started before any major construction started taking place, so its probably off screen. Although I'm not completely sure because it does not air in CA for another 45 minutes.
rollermonkey Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 ^Er, they went vertical back in January! Â If you say that it was not visible, than they followed the same 'rules' that the park seemed to place on the Japanese crews: Â No shots allowed of the new coaster, unless inside a building and the ride was visible through a window. (I saw it in shots inside Fujiyama's station and from inside the hotel. Â Interesting.
trustkill22 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Ya I was trying to see any sign of Eejanaika (had to copy that from rollermonkey) but I really didn't see any sign. It looked as though it was filmed in the fall so.
okinawaboy11 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Ya'll didn't really miss anything, it was nothing we haven't seen before.

It looked as though it was filmed in the fall so. Yeah.. It'd had to of been in the fall. They started the amazing race to early to be in December, and its not long enough to be more than 3 - 4 weeks, I'm guessing.
