rollermonkey
An egg beater a kitchen tool that looks similar to this lift mechanism. It would be more appropriate to say cake mixer, which is an electric kitchen appliance which looks even more like this lift hill. I guess that doesn't sound as good? Manu5000
You have very funny names for this and I think it doesn't really fit with this lift. In Germany it's called Trommellift and I think it sounds better although I don't know for what Trommel stands. If you want a Onride: http://www.coastervideos.de/videos.php It's the best Onride I know because you see the track.
waterviper
Trommel means drum! So it is called drumlift.  Ok, eggbeater is a nickname really for the type of lift. Because it resembles an eggbeater like rollermonkey said. LOL ya cakemixer seems like it would be more appropriate name for it!  But anyways, most of us coaster geeks like to nickname lots of parts of coasters. Like for instants on Tatsu at SFMM with the eggturn. Robb likes to call it the "eggturn" because its shaped like an egg. On Goliath at SFMM, the last helix creates extreme G forces which makes some people almost black out. So some of us like to nickname it "the centrifuge". On the Volare coaster and its clones some of us like to call the car that you ride in the "rat cage of doom" because you are surrounded by a cage and bars as you ride  So overall "eggbeater" is just a nickname we all like to call that sort of lift! Timmyuk
Goliath sounds good, any ride some people pass out on has to be pretty intense. Â Anyway i'm going to Europa in early June from the UK, i'm really looking forward to it but i still dont really know what to expect, the more i look into it the better it all looks, i'm thinking apart from a few rides most do not look that intense though, might be a little tame for me but probably keep the wife happy, however the themeing looks excellent and the hotels look fantastic. Manu5000
Goliath sounds good, any ride some people pass out on has to be pretty intense. Â Why Goliath? This coaster is called Eurosat. Or do I understand something wrong?
Timmyuk
No Waterviper mentioned Goliath in the post above mine, saying it was very intense, i know this is a europa topic about Eurosat.
thomas2
Went to Europa park last week and must say that Eurosat is such an awesome ride. I love the suspense of the long lift hill, the countdown, and the violent ride. It has very high capacity, is themed well, and has really good music. Â After Blue Fire and Silver Star, Eurosat is the best coaster in the park for me. Yes even better than Wodan.
BBparks57
I finally got to experience this just the other month and I loved it! First time I rode I was in the back row and it became one of my favorite ride experiences. It was easily top three coasters in the park for me haha! cfc
I rather like it, too, even though it isn't greatest coaster in the world--definitely many cuts above Paris Disneyland's Space Mountain.
Gilly
I don't get all the faff around this ride. For me it is still the worst coaster in the park... (no leg space, rattly and boring). Maybe my opinion would change when I'll get a chance to re-ride it (it's still about 3 years since I've ridden it...), but anyways, it's far from likes of blue fire, Silver Star or even some of the smaller coasters
Kooky
EuroSat is really wild beast... not everyone like it. Some times i love it, sometimes i hate it. Because it is my home park i think i have ridden it more than 100 times. But i have to say i liked it a little bit more in the past. There was just minimalistic theming inside the lift and the rest of the track. And no music playing, just weird and loud space noises. You really got nervous when you went up the lift and just listen to noises which sound like something is breaking down or metal that sqeezes. And then in the main coaster part there were just some LEDs on the walls and hanging in the air and you didn`t see a bit. You really fealt like you were thrown through space. Now after nearly 25 years of EuroSat, it is still a good but hurting coaster, with cruel but funny hard break
thomas2
I noticed that there were more theming and effects added compared to some years ago. Don't really care much about them, but I must say that Eurosat without it's sound track would be seem strange tbh. But that's because I've only done it with the soundtrack and am used to it. Â The final brake is indeed very strong if you don't know it's coming. I love it that you know it's gonna come soon when you enter that blue light tunnel, but it always takes longer than you think, building up the suspense. Awesomness. FreeFaller
The amazing thing about Eurosat and Europa in general is that the soundtrack always fits to the season! (Xmas Halloween or summer season soundtracks!)
_koppen
I really didn't like it, but my girlfriend did, so we did it probably 5-6 times. There more I rode it, the more it grew on me, and when the day at the park was over I thought it was awesome, and I still think it is.
cfc
Eurosat is fun, but I think Euro Mir is still the better of the two "space" coasters.
FreeFaller
^I agree! Euro Mir is awesome!
