Kenny Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Sabastian looks like he is cooking heroine. The drug, not the female hero. I can't spell. Glad you had fun. I wish I could legally play with fireworks.
AznShortBoi8021 Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 It looks like you had a good time. I was asleep during the night . Are those fireworks? I would be in jail if I had fireworks. Lucky you. You get to play with fireworks . Happy New Year.
CoasterCrazy Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Thanks for posting the pictures! It looks like you had a good time at the party.

I wish I could legally play with fireworks. LOL, be sure we had no drugs! At what age can you play with fireworks in the USA? --Sören
AznShortBoi8021 Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 There is no age limit in the U.S. Fireworks are banned to everyone in a some states because, apparently, some people are too stupid to realize fireworks can go BOOM in their face.
PhishyBrewer Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Nice Photo TR Soren. But a little short... isn't it? I mean for you Did you kiss Gloria at midnight? Because if you didn't, I sure would of.
Hattuchili Posted January 1, 2006 Author Posted January 1, 2006 ^ Yes Wally, it is a bit short, but Gloria don´t want to see so many pictures of herself! Be sure, the next PTR will be longer, again! Oh man, be sure we had a good night, thats all I can say! --Sören
dandaman Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Ah, I wish we'd bought some "pyrotechnical experiments" for this year's celebration. :?
benzo41190 Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Ahhhh fireworks! This New Years we lined up 10 PVC Pipes with rockets and shells and lit them off at once. A couple of the tubes tipped over and sparks flew everywhere! Then we finished the night with the "Kiss you ass Good Bye" 500 Gram Cake!
BelizeIt Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 I would give anything to be able to buy "Rockets" at the local store! All we get in California is the Safe and Sane Crap! (Only during the 4th of July) For crying out loud we can't even buy sparklers anymore! They are considered extremely dangerous! But, a quick trip across the border to Mexico, and you can buy whatever your heart desires! The US can be very uptight about fireworks!
benzo41190 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 We live in the middle of no where so you can light off stuff and cops wont even care. Also there are 10 HUGE firework stores within a 10 mile radius of our house
Rugged One Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Just curious Soren. What can you tell me about the German tradition of watching a show called Dinner for One on New Years Eve? We were sitting around talking with another couple last night, waiting for Midnight and they brought this up. I thought this would be a great opportunity to ask.
Wackyboxer Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Nice Photo TR Soren. But a little short... isn't it? I mean for you Did you kiss Gloria at midnight? Because if you didn't, I sure would of. I concur! Gloria looks Hot!
Shockwave Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Haha, that looked really similar to how I spent my New Years Eve making cocktails with friends! We didn't have any fireworks though. But Happy New Year Soren, even if it's a bit late now!

You can't buy sparklers here? (CA) Seriously, I've been here for 4 years (almost) and I didn't know that... -Amanda
Machtin Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Just curious Soren. What can you tell me about the German tradition of watching a show called Dinner for One on New Years Eve? We were sitting around talking with another couple last night, waiting for Midnight and they brought this up. I thought this would be a great opportunity to ask. This is actually a pretty odd thing. "Dinner for One" is nothing more than an old scatch filmed in the 60s which is screened every New Years Eve at nearly every regional channel all over Germany. It's about the 90th birthday dinner of an old woman, called Miss Sophie. She has invited all her old friends. The problem: They are already dead for years. But she doesn't want to change her oh so accustomed birthday dinner which includes her four best friends. So her buttler James has to fill out the roles of all her four admired guests while serving the three course menu. Since Miss Sophie wants to toast at every course, James is obliged to drink the wine for four persons and gets heavily drunk, of course. The whole scatch is about slapstick (James stumbling over a head of a tiger fur every time he is lurching to the bar), but the really odd thing about it is that it's totally in English, which is very weird for a German production from the 1960s, when hardly anyone here was able to understand what they were saying. But nevertheless this show has become incredibly famous here in Germany and I'm not lying when I say that everytime at New Years Eve you'll find at least one cannel at no matter which time screening "Dinner for One". Some channels show it about 4 times a day. This show belongs to New Years Eve as the tree to Christmas. And even if you meet a German who can't speak any English, just ask him: "The same procedure as last year, Miss Sophie?", I bet he will be able to answer: "The same procedure as every year, James!" This dialogue out of the show has almost become a saying here in Germany. Do you have something like this in America, too? A tv-show they screen just every year at a special date and everyone is watching?
Shockwave Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Do you have something like this in America, too? A tv-show they screen just every year at a special date and everyone is watching? What about "It's A Wonderful Life"?
Rugged One Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 This is actually a pretty odd thing. "Dinner for One" is nothing more than an old scatch filmed in the 60s which is screened every New Years Eve at nearly every regional channel all over Germany. Thanks for the detailed explanation. The couple that brought it up to us, knew of it but not about it. That's a very interesting tradition. I can't really say that we have anything exactly like that here in the States. There are traditional Christmas shows (like It's a Wonderful Life or Rudolph) that air every year but they aren't always shown on the the same date every year. A cable channel here call TNT shows a 24 hour marathon of A Christmas Story every Christmas day but I don't think that the entire country is watching. Maybe one of my U.S. compadres on here can remember something I'm forgetting.
Hattuchili Posted January 2, 2006 Author Posted January 2, 2006 You can watch "Dinner for One" every year at the New Years eve on different TV channels! It is funny each year, again! Here are a dew more pictures from the evening! Mmmhhh, that is for me! The cat also had some fun with the firework rockets! Sebastian and Wiebke Wally, for you I posted another nice pictures of Gloria! I only can say it again, we really had a great time! It is sad, that Gloria is back home 250 miles away from me! She is an Ex-girlfriend, but we are in good contact! We had a perfect time a few years ago, but the distance was to much for us, for a longer time! However, it was fantastic that she was here for a few days! --Sören
