Token Yankee Guy Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 In the early afternoon of New Years Eve, my Dad wanted to tear down the tree house in our back yard that has fallen in dis-repair for the last...2-3 years. We've had it up since I was in Middle School and it was time to tear down a piece of our childhood, just like we did with the rotting swing set earlier this summer. Now for some photos the pieces of the treehouse have been piled up against the old play set in the back. This will all be taken out next summer when Dad and I re-roof our house. The first floor is all what remains Dad pulls down the last support beam Erica helps push the last of the 2nd floor down Who wants to play in the tree house!? Yes, we live on the edge of danger when it comes to these things. We were surprise the thing just didn't give way and collapse. My dad begins working on hitting the cross beams to bring down the 2nd floor Overall photo so far Erica has fun jumping on that side beam to help tear down the 2nd floor the 2nd floor floor is all what remains. Back railing has been completely taken down Erica and I begin demolition the treehouse provided a nice lookout to Pleasant View Rd One of the primary reasons why the treehouse is no longer safe. the first floor of the treehouse. Yeah we had one because our uncle was cool and helped build it for us Pre-demolition pics
Hattuchili Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Craig, you had a tree house? That is so cool! I had never one! I wanted one as a kid, but my dad never built one for me! However, looks like you had a good time, tear down the tree house! --Sören
AznShortBoi8021 Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Aww lucky you. You had a treehouse. I wish I had a tree house when I was younger. You must of had a good time tearing down your childhood memories.
PhishyBrewer Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Umm... so when did you do any work there Craiggers? All I see is your sister and you father.
Token Yankee Guy Posted January 1, 2006 Author Posted January 1, 2006 ^ 5th picture down you see me with the sledge hammer. And I did my fair share of work on the treehouse, it's just no one took pictures of me working.
Jeezus Juice Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 OK, I'll say it...Erica is hot. -Don (please tell me she's not 12 or anything!)

woah_killa Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 hm...that sounds like fun...I have a tree house in my backyard sorta kinda...we don't use it anymore...
Dale_09 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 I must say that you have lot of will and skill to build these cool tree houses. When I was young, I gave it a though couple of time but then it was too much work that I could never get started with this idea.
