robbalvey Posted December 6, 2005 Author Posted December 6, 2005 Here are some more detailed instructions on how to FTP your file using IE: In your browser type: ftp.themeparkreview.net (get rid of everything including the Http:// part) You might get some kind of error that says "windows cannot access this folder, etc, etc,) - just click OK Click on "file" (upper left hand corner of the screen) and select "login as" Username: videocontest@themeparkreview.net password: contest You should see two folders that look just like your desktop window folders. Drag your video into "contest submissions"

Drag your video into "contest submissions" Just a point... It only automatically works in the browser if you are using IE for windows. For FireFox users you can take a look at FireFTP. That will give you the same sort of features in Firefox and you should be able to follow the instructions Robb gave otherwise. I'll just double check that it all works in a sec. Ok I just checked and it isn't quite as straightforward but it isn't hard at all. I'll try to make some pics and get them up shortly. Ok I've updated this so that it should have all the instructions for anyone using Firefox. Hopefully it is fairly straightforward enough. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything. At the end simply select your file on the left side and make sure the right side is in the correct folder. Then just click the arrow that points to the right and you should be good to go. Now Simply select "TPR" from the drop down and click "Connect" Enter these items exactly as they appear other than the TPR. Assuming you have no proxy you shouldn't have to mess with any of the other settings. Now that FireFTP has opened go to the top left of the window and click on "Manage Accounts" and go to "New..." Pick tools from the menu bar and click on "FireFTP"

TheStig Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Hey what do you know I figured it out! It's uploading now... Colin C
arrowfanman Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Me...I'll probably be working up to the deadline.
kenshinmac Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Mine sucks but hey I submitted one... Hey Robb can you give us a number of submissions? Is this going to be like bandwidth raping and patience testing if we want to view them all?
Loopy Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 I'm excited too. Hey Robb, did you get the email I sent you regarding my video? If not let me know, just a little question.....
coasterrider1998 Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Robb whats the best video you have overviewed so far?
robbalvey Posted December 8, 2005 Author Posted December 8, 2005 ^ I can't give away ANY details yet. Remember, tomorrow is the LAST DAY to submit an entry! I will post a list of all the entries we have gotten in so far when I get home later tonight. --Robb
schwick Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 That was a fun competition. Thanks for offering it. So for a PG-13 my video can say "Hell" a lot right because it sure as hell does.
coaster_type_of_person Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 How do you recompress a file with Windows movie maker? *Sorry if this has already been explained*
SLUSHIE Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I just finished mine. Now I just have to export it and upload it. Mine is pretty fast paced, but extremely slow at one point for about 15 seconds. Not only is Dan afraid of water, he is also afraid to break dance.
arrowfanman Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Damn! I didn't read the directions correctly! It says 1-3 minutes in length! I thought it said 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds in length! (Darth Vader: "NNNoooooooooooooooooo!") Crap--while everybody is scraping to fit under 3 minutes, im scraping to get a minute!
SLUSHIE Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I guess mine wont be in. I did finish it, but I cant export it to a.mpg without the plug-in for premiere. I did export it to .avi and put it into windows movie maker, but like always it messed it all up and was out of sync and everything.
kenshinmac Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Did Robb get busy or something? The list of submitted videos didn't hit last night nor has the contest closed... I can't wait to see what other people did with this... I know mine sucks but hey I want to see how badly it sucked.
robbalvey Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 The video contest has CLOSED!!!! I didn't post the list last night as we kept getting in entries. I'm going to go through them today (there were quite a few!) and post the list of all the entries in a little while But first we're off to SFMM for a Tatsu update! --Robb
kenshinmac Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I look forward to both updates Robb... Thanks for the answer.
coasters 4 me Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I am really looking forward to the Tatsu update....and then the Video Conest! LOL!
