Even Georgia's new plans for splash'sanitymania' (brought to you by Taki's extreme nacho flavored hair gel) mismatched bright colors are being taken in a more subtle direction with the Gold Rusher theme. Titan's paint scheme hasn't changed in 24 years. Long overdue. 2

JoeShmo Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I'm going to miss the bobsled. I remember when it was still blue and white. That said I am not going to miss the wait, last time we were there in Oct I bet we spent 30 minutes in the fast pass line, and the people in the standby line must have been waiting 2 hours plus. 1
prozach626 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 That sucks, since it seems like a roller coaster for all ages.

Wait times won't be a problem with the new Giga Dive coming in. Dives typically have great rider capacity. 1
prozach626 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Valravn is the dive coaster I'm most familiar with and it seems to eat lines pretty quick. 1
Sportsdude360 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 The new 309' Giga Dive Coaster known as "Project Rubi" has been approved by the FAA. Well, that settles it! We're definitely getting this baby! 1 1
Sportsdude360 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Rancho De Pollo is on its way out. Word is that El Diablo is being relocated to a another park outside the chain. Credit photos to Andrew Floyd and Fourk Coaster and Six Flags Over Texas Junkies.
prozach626 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 It was going to go to SFStl, until SF realized they already had one. That, and the ride isn't quite old enough to gift it to the park. 1 2

Sportsdude360 Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Big changes coming!! I would just like to say that there's a real feeling of excitement when you visit the park, just knowing a new coaster is coming which will break all records for coasters of this type! Rancho De Pollo gone!El Diablo on its way to another park Gee I wonder what this could be!
Sportsdude360 Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Locomotive tour! Rare tour of the Locomotive Even got to ring the bell!
shockwave1982 Posted April 14 Posted April 14 What are they doing to the exit area and the building right next to it? We were there on Saturday as well. It was weird not seeing La Vibora (the bobsled) walking in from the parking lot. And Titan looks odd in the dark blue and white scheme, especially with the Reese's Pieces trains, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. This dive coaster sounds pretty slick, though. Now if only I could get someone in my family to ride it with me. I'm still trying to get my son to ride the Judge or Shock Wave with me.
shockwave1982 Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Here are a couple of shots of Titan with the new (nearly finished) paint job. It looks pretty decent, but it's not as striking as the original orange and teal/aqua, but at least it sets it apart from its sister Goliath.

We'll have to wait and see what they end up doing. 1
Sportsdude360 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 El Diablo deconstruction has begun. It has apparently been sold to another park outside the chain. Also, the preferred parking lot to the right is closed until further notice. The entire area is about to be turned into a massive construction zone, Credit photos to Brandon Skilling and Texas Thrillseekers. Deconstruction underway Off to another park 1
