Real Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 The loop looks short and wide to me. Less whip at the top, more consistent force throughout the loop. Where's Real when you need him? Reminds me of Top Gun at PGA's loop. The radius IS wider than most they have done. Lets hope its more sustained G's.
viking86 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Thats just my guess. Im sure they can make a dive loop work and it would be a cool feeling element, but it may ruin that sense of flight a little. Id like to see it done though. The first half of the batwing on Montu and TG;TJC is pretty much like a small dive loop
Imhotep Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 ^ You are right, I didnt even think of that. The batwing is like a dive loop/immelmen combo.
TheStig Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 I'd say that the loop looks more circular shaped than the typical "eyedrop" shape of loops. With a circle loop, you do pull some serious G's, but they are sustained as it is a constiant radius (getting all of this?). I think it'll pull some serious G's, but maybe too many as on B:TR's you do tend to pull a lot of G's in all the elements (the whole ride really). So who knows untill somebody rides it... Colin C

Your wish will be granted, but you took the risk... 8) The more circular any loop gets, the higher the forces will be on entry & exit, at the same time the lower forces will get on top. This phenomenon is size *in*-dependent. The shape of Patriot's Loop seems to result from the desired height difference of entrance and exit. It necessarily has to become asymmetric. So the second half (top to exit) of this one should be more circular than the first, probably providing a slightly innovative and extraordinary ride experience this way... We can't tell now, but it might provide rather some "pull/fly/pull" feeling (as with old Anton's), than sustained forces. Let's wait and see... redunzelizer P.S. BiCoastal Kid Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 ^Something is wrong with your loop. It's more of a loo.
andrea Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 even if it looks lopsided it still looks very fun
