CoasterFanatic Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Has anyone here ever been to Schneph Farms. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this place. They only have a little "whore" credit, but it just seems like a bizarre place. Any history or insight would be appreciated. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=33.225676582+-111.597116521&t=k&hl=en
SharkTums Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Maybe some of our Arizonians have been there? Looks like one of those 'just for school trips and picnics farm places'. Their website seems to have a lot of history and info on it: http://www.schnepffarms.com/ Now we know where the next TPR Picnic will be held!
jarmor Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 is this place for real...they seem to like oprah!

maeryk Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Good god that sounds like a Unreal 2004 map scenario! Hilbilly Bob's pig races? Maeryk
saturday97 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 We went a few years ago. It was soooo hot! It's a cool little place but I don't remember a roller coaster at all. We just went to get pumpkins and go on the hayride and the corn maze. They did have a little train, though.
CoasterFanatic Posted October 27, 2005 Author Posted October 27, 2005 I thought the picture was pretty cool. Pretty wild how the community is big enough that someone has actually been there. Not one person listed the coaster in Mitch's Poll. I don't even think it was on the ballot.
SharkTums Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 From what RCDB says, and from what the website says, it almost sounds like it was built, or partially built and never opened. Send them a nice email! They say they respond quickly!
CoasterFanatic Posted October 27, 2005 Author Posted October 27, 2005 RCDB also lists the coaster as a Zamperla Tornado. Here is the one at Wild Waves: // Boo! Powered Coaster.
saturday97 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 When I saw the thread I kept thinking, they can't mean the same Shnepf Farms?? It is a local institution.
PhishyBrewer Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 (edited) Oops, sorry.... I thought it said Schnapps! Edited October 28, 2005 by PhishyBrewer
saturday97 Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Schanapps Farms? Now THERE's a place I'd like to visit! No coaster necessary to feel the G's!! 8)
Pelydr Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Schanapps Farms? Now THERE's a place I'd like to visit! No coaster necessary to feel the G's!! 8) lol! Living in AZ I had no idea this place even existed, and its not hard to see why!
saturday97 Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Pelydr--- Yeah, it's not worth the drive from Tucson, although it is pretty far South in Queen Creek.
Rachel127 Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I also had no idea it exsisted. I live in phoenix area is it worth a trip to go?
TheGreatOne Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Their coaster was operating...but then it died. When the new one ships in, I plan on making a visit. At least I have the Arizona State Fair on Thursday...I can't wait to finally ride the KMG Tango and Experience! -Bryan "Who also needs the kiddie credit at Enchanted Island in Encanto Park to get all 4 of the AZ credits...but I'd rather drive 7 hours to ride New Mexico Rattler again then drive 45 mins to Queen Creek" Wood
saturday97 Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 It's not worth going for coasters or coaster credit, but it's cute for a pumpkin patch/ hayride kinda place. Good for the under 12 crowd and parents. I'd rather be living in Queen Creek than Utah...
