imbordisux Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 I am a huge wrestling-dork. HUGE. I spend most of my day thinking and writing about wrestling. I used to be a pretty big name on several wrestling message-boards, and, while I am no longer on many of them (I prefer smaller boards with a handful of members), I still talk and write about it constantly. One of my favorite things to do when I have some free-time is armchair-book several months' worth of shows. Below is a link to my latest piece, which covers the next EIGHT MONTHS worth of shows (from present until next year's roster-draft): http://realwrestlecrap.proboards39.com/index.cgi?board=WWE&action=display&thread=1126903056 Figured I'd see if there were any wrestling fans here, and I'm always looking for feedback. Thanks, - Stu
Twister II Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 I wrestled for my school in Middle and now High. I really liked it! But I dont like the whole WWE stuff...
EftelingGal Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Does Sumo Wrestling Count??? Cause I like watching Sumos!!!
Bubba Z Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 "Quote the Raven nevermore" ECW! ECW ! Other than that, no, wrestling has pretty much died out.
batmanfan612 Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 Im a wrestling fan, and Raven is probably about my favorite wrestler ever. You can still catch him on TNA
Jeezus Juice Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 Sabu kicked me in the face stage diving at an ICP show. And I've seen Necro Butcher punch out this guys grill with a staple gun. Later Mad Man Pondo put Corporal Robinson through 2 folding tables off the top rope to the ground right in front of me. I'm not sure how much of a wrestling mark that makes me, but I'm waiting for my rematch with Sabu. -Don
batmanfan612 Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 lmao You really wanna fight Sabu? I'd be afraid, unless I had someone like Sick Nick Mondo on my side.
M_Force_4_ever Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 ^was that on Hatchet Rising? anyway I am a HUGE wrestling fan...I really wanted to get tickets to Wrestlemania 22 but they sold out too quickly =(
Jeezus Juice Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Yeah, Hatchet Rising, AKA the best tour that has ever been done. As far as my rematch with Sabu, well...I would but I'm in retirement and all so I can't just come out as a face an job my boy like that. I'd throw on my singlet in a heartbeat for a match with the Iron Shiek though, that guys like two feet away from turning into dust. How about a crackpipe-on-a-pole match! iLucha Librae!
batmanfan612 Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 ^ Man, Sean Waltman would so win that, and then Chyna will beat his @$$ and take it from him.
Ghost Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 I used to follow it fanatically... I was owner of the Belgian Wrestling Fanclub and wrote for our newsletter, website and even did a magazine with interviews I did with Mike Awesome, Alex Wright among others. Also interviews my partner did with Booker T, Ernest Miller, Konnan and Rey Mysterio Jr where in the magazine. We did this during a WCW show in Germany (I had Backstage passes the WCW gave to us. I also been a guest comentator on 2 WCW TV shows in Belgium and been a guest comentator on a live show (european group) in front of a good 2000 wrestling fans... WWE never was so open to its fans as WCW ever was (A shame as I always liked WWE more) So I guess I was (am) a big fan Because of some serious health issues (I will not bore you with) I had to hand over the fanclub to other people who stopped even before they brought out the next number of the newsletter....
imbordisux Posted October 17, 2005 Author Posted October 17, 2005 So... what does everybody think of my work? http://realwrestlecrap.proboards39.com/index.cgi?board=WWE&action=display&thread=1126903056
CoasterJunkie Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 My hubby is a huge wrestling fan...and I watch occasionally...Heck I have even met some of the guys..real sweethearts. Hubby is big on reading Pro Wrestling Torch..like all the time...Hey its his hobby...I endulge him. This was just way to much for me. I think you have way to much time on your hands..LOL...
imbordisux Posted October 17, 2005 Author Posted October 17, 2005 Actually, I wrote the entire thing while at work. I'm actually supposed to be working now, as a matter of fact. You know that "Kruger" company that George Costanza worked for? How nobody - not the employees, not the boss, NOBODY - gave a crap about the company? Yeah, it's like that here. Tell "hubbie" to read it, see what he thinks.
haydawg149 Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 So... what does everybody think of my work? http://realwrestlecrap.proboards39.com/index.cgi?board=WWE&action=display&thread=1126903056 whos but it that at the end?
M_Force_4_ever Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 Yeah, Hatchet Rising, AKA the best tour that has ever been done. the Iron Shiek though, that guys like two feet away from turning into dust. yea HRT was amazing, too bad I missed Twiztid because I was in line for merch =( lol so Iron Sheik would collapse if someone got too close to him sadly
