Bob O Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 http://drkssk.fc2web.com/zekkyou/local/maru/loopcork/loopcork.html I stole the above link from rrc and was wondering if anone here(like Robb/Elissa) have ridden this coaster and what park it might be in. It seems very unique.
bluemen Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 A mouse with horsecollars... this is perhaps the worst idea ever. It's gotta be Togo, right?
rollermonkey Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Ahh! The other remaining looping TOGO mouse! Crazy Mouse at Kagoshima Jungle Land. This is the bigger brother to the one at Tobu Zoo. I hope to hit this next year, as I enjoyed the Tobu Zoo one. They use the Windjammer track, but due to the single car trains, they are more reliable. Even E + R seemed to enjoy the Tobu Zoo one in the Japan-A-Mania DVD. Chris B
benzo41190 Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 It will be not rough (like the Tobu Zoo one) or rough as hell (like WindJammer). It looks cool, I wonder how rough that corkscrew is.
CoasterCrazy Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 I would love to ride a TOGO mouse one day!
Mind Eraser Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Rollermonkey, There is another Togo wild mouse with a vertical loop and corkscrew at Maruyama Kidland. -kip-
SharkTums Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Can anyone find the parks website? I'm having trouble finding it.
chauncey Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 http://www.sapporo-dc.co.jp/kidland/index.html
CoasterCrazy Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Is there anyway to convert the web site to english?
SharkTums Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 ^^Thanks Chauncey, but I was looking for the Jungle Land one...but this is interesting as well!
chauncey Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 ^^Thanks Chauncey, but I was looking for the Jungle Land one...but this is interesting as well! That link is to the one this topic is about, as far as I can tell. The website says it's located at "National Kid Land" in Sapporo, so... Here's an English version of the site I found, if anyones interested: http://www.sapporo-dc.co.jp/eng/kidland/index.html
Canobie Fan Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 The old good FrightTime.com had a few photos of the coaster back 2 or 3 years ago. Looks cool
chauncey Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Okay, so I was right. The coaster this topic is about is at the Kidland park I posted the link to. The coaster at Jungleland is a different Togo looping mouse. That's where the confusion is. I guess these things aren't so rare after all! It seems like every Zoo in Japan has one (Kidland park is at a Zoo, too)!
chauncey Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Sorry for the double post, but I've been looking for Jungleland, and, as far as I can tell, it doesn't exist! I mean it! Not even the city's official tourism site knows about it! There's only 3 options as far as I can tell: 1. It really doesn't exist. 2. It does exist, under a different name. 3. It does exist, but it's extremely obscure, even for the Japanese who live in the same city! Assuming number 2 is correct, I have a lead. The cities official tourism site does mention a zoo, with a themepark! Only it gives a dead link. I looked up the Zoo itself, and I can find a lot of sites which mention it, but none which mentions anything about it, or a link to it. So... Yeah. I like finding obscure things on the internet, but this doesn't seem to be going anywhere!
CoasterCrazy88 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 OMG!!!!!!!!!!! That mouse looks awesome! A steep first drop, a loop, a corkscrew, and a curved drop?! I don't care if it's a Togo, I want to go on it! I thought Crazy Mouse at Tobu Zoo ( the looping mouse Robb and Elissa went on) looked cool, that one's nothing compared to this! Antonio"The drop looks like a giant version of Windjammer"G.
Scaparri Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Holy crap that is awesome! It may be Togo, but still. The Tobu Zoo model was cool enough, but now one that does a loop and a corkscrew. What I would give for a park in the U.S. to build something along those lines from a different designer. Am I overreacting?
coasterguy618 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I want to ride it so bad!! Gaven "ocuh ouch ouch ouch" D'Ambra
