ImNotOneOfYou Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I just got back from a week-long vacation that included Ocean City, MD, and Ocean City, NJ. I took pictures, most of which being from... wait for it... the amusement parks. Three in total. Starting the amusement parks off with Jolly Roger On Land. The only reason we went here was because of Wildcat. Wildcat at Cedar Point was one of my favorites at the time. Riding Cedar Point's original Wildcat felt no different. For you brake run enthusiasts. Nailed it Next was Jolly Roger at the Pier. In this picture, you see Looping Star, Wildcat's inferior cousin. In 2012, it became my first looping roller coaster. On this trip, it became my sister's first looping coaster. This is the condominium we stayed in. It isn't high enough See? Not high enough After Ocean City, Maryland, we took the ferry to New Jersey. I took many pictures of the sunset, so here's them all at once. Gillian's nicely lit Ferris wheel. So inviting. Too bad we're going to the other amusement park A very enjoyable kiddie ride. Flitzer seemed to be very photogenic during this trip. Such photogenic That moment you realize you compare Millennium Force's intensity with that of the Flitzer Extreme Cyclone wasn't operating while we were there. Double Shot was my favorite ride there My sister, however, was too scared to ride it. Tropical Storm was a close second. Gravitron was eh. There was a dog wandering throughout the park in the three days we went there. Anyone else notice a dog? This is what 85 feet looks like from the base. The pirate ship ride was enjoyable. I'm pretty sure it's called Buccaneer, but "The Pirate Ship Ride" is what my family always calls these. We rode Python on the first day. On the second day, we were 5 minutes late, and it closed On the last day, we went to the park one last time to ride Python since we missed it the previous day. Approaching the park. Luckily, my sister, who wanted to ride Python, chose to ride Tropical Storm instead. After Tropical Storm, she had the courage to ride Double Shot. After Double Shot, we left. Look what started running right as we left. One last goodbye to Flitzer.
bert425 Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Looks like you had a couple of days of beautiful weather, before the overcast last day. but you had fun, and that's what counts!

coasterbill Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Great pictures, and the Cape May Lewes Ferry is always a great time... too bad you didn't have time to stop in Rehoboth. It's a great little beach town.
boldikus Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Nice photos. I have been meaning to check out those Ocean City parks for forever and I never seem to make it happen. Morey's is killing them with their Flitzer themeing though lol. (looks better at night but can't seem to find a pic)
michaellynn4 Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Looks like you had a lot of fun! Two weekends ago I did a Jersey Shore excursion myself. Wildwood (Morey's) and both parks in Ocean City. Gillian's and Playland were mostly a credit whore stop for me, but Playland was more fun than I had anticipated. Rikki joined me for Gillian's to get the two credits, but because it was so hot out, she bailed on Playland and drove my car around blasting the AC while I went over to Playland for a bit. That Tropical Storm ride... the world needs many, MANY more of those!!!! I couldn't spend a great deal of time there since Rikki was driving around (didn't want her to wait too long), so I still have a bunch of tickets for a return visit!

Intimidator305 Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I did OCNJ back in 2012 and OCMD recently this summer and I love them both. Both are very unique and I love the vibes of both their boardwalks. Thanks for sharing!
larrygator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 That Tropical Storm ride... the world needs many, MANY more of those!!!!! So true, one intense flat ride
