Or am I really just a @$$ who should just shut up and wait in the long line like everybody else?

Sorry but assuming this conversation really took place, it does kind of seem that way. If you're that upset about slow dispatches then go through the proper channels and complain about it to guest relations or something instead of telling someone you know how to do their job better than they do. I'm not defending slow operations but I also don't know what their job entails.

Meanwhile, operations continued to be slow as you distracted the ride op with your complaints

You're so funny! I didn't know the op could be distracted while the train is running thru a cycle.

And you're so funny, thinking that making obnoxious comments to an employee is going to change how they do their job. It's up to management to perform quality control, not entitled coaster enthusiasts.

Going through Guest Relations or asking to speak to a supervisor is a lot better way to handle it than trying to talk to the operator. If you said what you posted, it's likely that it would have been immediately dismissed (right or wrong, it happens) as it comes off really harsh. Especially when you turn around the phrase they're required to say to make your point. How would you take it if some stranger just started telling you you were bad at your job?

Plus, if you go through management, they can work with all of the ops, across the park. Not just that one person at that one ride. 'Cause it takes everyone on the platform working quickly to keep things moving.

It did happen, and I'm not gonna complain to guest relations about it. That's ridiculous. I wasn't rude to her. And I was just telling her she could be doing a better job.

No, what's ridiculous is complaining about it here and thinking a change will occur versus using the proper channels. If no one complains through the proper channels no action is likely to be taking.

Of course you are free to complain on TPR and that might make you feel better but that is not going to help the situation.

In my opinion, complaining to the ride op is a bit rude. They must be so bored, checking lap bars, waiting for the train to return, and repeating for hours at a time, no wonder they're having conversations. I would never complain to them, reprimanding an employee is the job of a manager/higher-up, not the job of an enthusiast who doesn't want to wait in line. I also wouldn't let someone taking an extra minute to check the train ruin my day, because in the long run, it really does not matter.
