Wow, I just counted and I rode 128 new credits this year. Most of which were in the US, but I got 5 in the Shezhen area of China. That means I got 123 new credits in the US, what a cool number.

The most I've had in a single year was 70 which I managed to do both in 2011 and 2013. Conveniently, those were the years I did TPR tours.

This year, I've picked up 40 new credits, hitting #300 along the way. So, I can't really complain about that.

2012 and 2013 were both massive years for me. 2012 because of going to Los Angeles and 2013 because of a quick trip in England and France:

Prior to October 2012, I had a measly 21 credits.

Thanks to a trip to KBF, SFMM and USH and to the Gold Coast in Australia, I gained a further 26 credits.

Then in 2013, A trip to Thorpe Park, Alton Towers and Disneyland Paris and a visit to Universal Studios Singapore, I had a further 21 credits.

So thanks to a 15 month period between October 2012 and December 2013, I moved from 21 credits to 68!

Ten days will mark one calendar year since the visit to SFGAm that got me enthusiastic about coasters. That day saw credit #3 (Whizzer), and last month saw credit #113 (Gold Striker), so in the previous twelve months I've picked up...

One hundred ten new credits!!

(Actually there is a good chance I will get one more credit in the coming ten days.)

It's been a blast! And actually, math error... 3 to 113 inclusive is 111 lol

I don't have my list in front of me but I'll try to recount the parks. I travel a lot for work so that really helped on the Cali side of things!

SFGAm, SFMM, KBF, CP, KD, SFA, SFGAdv, Hershey, Compounce, SFNE, CGA, Rye Playland, Quassy, Dorney, Knoebels ... think that may be it.

So, assuming I don't get anymore this year (I probably won't), I'll have gotten 116 new credits in 2014 (I'll update OP). Doubt I'll ever get close to that number again.

I probably rode my first coaster somewhere between 1979-81. Through 2000 I only had about 20 credits spread out among KD, Magic Kingdom, and BGW. I didn't get real serious about things until 2006, which was my next highest year with 37. Didn't do much traveling outside my home parks 2011-2013 although I meant to go on TPR trips in 2011 (Northeast) and 2012 (Leviathon) but had to bow out eventually.

1979?-2000-- 20

2006-- 37

2007-- 22

2008-- 17

2009-- 27 (mostly from TPR Texas trip)

2010-- 23

2011-- 0

2012-- 1 (Verbolten)

2013-- 0

2014-- 116
