chadster
I would however anticipate the park to be located along I-35W near Alliance Airport. Someone in the local print media researched undeveloped land parcels available in the county on the scale that they're talking about and found that there are none. I would say that is accurate as 5000ac = 7.8125mi² I'm in no way saying this project will happen, however it is quite common for equity companies to create spinoffs to protect the parent. The last company I worked for was setup in this fashion. Parent, Subsidiary, and then the LLC whom my checks came from. The parent then funded the subsidiary which in turn initially funded the LLC, of course it stands on its own now paying back the parent and using the Subsidiary as the bank to fund new mortgages. It was mind blowingly complex. The amount of capital they are seeking will need Warren Buffett's checkbook. cfc
Is that indoor skiing inside the mountain? Inside the mountain is the working theory. No, I mean *I* know that, but the video and presentation is just so awful and confusing that to most people watching I think it's totally unclear. But it does have a "magical pathway of hope." AllenA07
None of the local media seems to be taking this very seriously. Looking more at it, I really love the potential location. I think something this size could survive and even do well there. This area is growing fast enough and is close enough to other major cities that I think a project of this size could be possible (though I think if it were my money a city like Killeen, TX would make more sense). The biggest problem I have is the fact that they haven't talked with the city. This area is giving away so many incentives to build out here, that have no doubt that a project of this size would be able to get some serious help. Really, if you want to build anything larger then a Taco Bell, DFW is going to throw money at you right now. It's a cool project and I think the local population could support it, I'm just not convinced that this group has done the work necessary to make it happen. Beyond that, we're not talking about Disney here that has the reputation to stand on. Disney can charge $100+ a person for a day at their parks, and they've earned the right to do it. It's because they have 60 years of running great parks and people trust them. When it's my vacation time and money, I'm going to need to be convinced that this park is worth my investment. Location wise, DFW (Texas in general) is a great place for a project of this scope. I just don't think this is the group to take on a project of this magnitude. chadster
I'm hearing rumblings that Benbrook might be the selected city. A quick look at google earth suggests there could be enough land there. As to why they would say Ft. Worth, who knows, it's a suburb. Of course Texas Motor Speedway took similar issue with Denton and being called Ft. Worth. IDK, as a whole seems unrealistic. Edit: The money guy said in Alabama that both projects are fully funded. We will see...
Shavethewhales
Edit: The money guy said in Alabama that both projects are fully funded. We will see... Anyone want to bet money that isn't true? There is literally nothing about this company that is realistic or trustworthy. My feelings toward them are shifting from bemusement to anger as they pollute more and more press with their supposed grand schemes. We don't need anymore giant boondoggles in this industry. AllenA07
If the land had been purchased we would know about it. It's such a giant amount of land people would be quick to notice. Not to mention that Sarbanes-Oxley would make it impossible to conceal a purchase of that magnitude.

chadster
Unfortunately thats nothing new, DO is just behind the times on this one for whatever reason, I mean they are usually on top of it. The story today is the website has been updated, or de-updated to remove pretty much everyone from the about us page. Guess a few people figured it out and bailed. Shavethewhales
Still in business meaning they haven't been able to get the cash from their foreign investors yet. They need a few more lawyers to make it look legitimate for just a little longer...
chadster
So I was bored this afternoon and was cleaning out my 'favorites' and clicked on this link I had saved for Dreamvision....Seems as if they no longer have a team, or press releases. Whole lot of scam going on here.

chadster
Here is something else I found odd...see that BBB accreditation on their website? Yeah, not a accredited. There is also another company occupying that address, Estes Financial Services. I think it's safe to put the sod over this casket. I've heard from other sources that they are not responding to any inquires whatsoever. Curious to see if the email you back Bob.
