gerstlaueringvar Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 (edited) I will be at IAAPA Asia during the whole show time. Please feel free to post here if you have any questions to ask the manufacturers and I'll try my best to ask them. Of course, all these questions have to be "nice", things like "what happened to FoF's LIM", "why is Hades360 so unbearably rough, crappy and not friendly to insurance companies", "What will happen to Cudafall" and asking Gerstlauer"which do you think is better? Maurer or Mack" are not considered "nice". Most important Note: RMC IS NOT HERE, Vekoma is probably representing RMC but as for now, Vekoma's booth is still empty. Triotech has a huge booth that shows two ride systems and they are really friendly. Premier's booth is almost done, possibly the fastest among all the exhibitors. Chance Rides is here but the booth is still empty. Here are some photos I took this morning: B&M booth. Nothing snappy is happening anymore but seems like Banshee is doing great. Triotech's booth. PAX! More Wild Train and Formule 1 please! Premier booth! Mack's booth is almost done, they have a lot of German snacks at the back that will be provided to the guests. Hello Triotech, WMG is a great start and wish you guys have a bright future! Hello Premier Rides, you guys never disappoint! Love love love every ride I've ridden from Premier. They are working so hard! Triotech is getting ready for their IDR's first show after IAAPA Orlando's world premiere. Edited June 18, 2014 by gerstlaueringvar
Superbatboy Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Intamin-Do they think they'll ever build a mega lite in the U.S? And what do they think of the copies (Alpina Blitz, Lightning Run). Are they done building wooden coasters? Chance-Any plans to build say a bigger Lightning Run, like a hyper? B&M-Are they done building hypers with trains featured on Diamondback, Intimidator, and Behemoth and back to the four across seating (ala Leviathan) Mack-Will we ever see a launcher like Helix in the U.S?
simon8899 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Is Zamperla there after their brushings with Golden Horse?

I can answer a bit for you. 1. If a park come to us and pay for it, why not? 2. We already did, a couple of them. 3. It's up to the park, Shambhala used the V shaped car, right? 4. If a park is willing to pay for it, yes.

BBH Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Chance - Is it possible to incorporate inversions or other more extreme elements into your Hyper Lite/Hyper GT-X concept?
Gutterflower Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Awesome gerstlaueringvar. Hope it's a good show. I imagine with the way the Chinese market is developing this is now a much more important trade show on the calendar. As always just interested to see who announces what
rcjp Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Really cool that you got hired as an intern for GCI. If you get the chance, please ask B&M if they have or are considering featuring lapbars on their looping rides given that other manufacturers seem to be going that way.
gerstlaueringvar Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 (edited) Double post... Sorry Edited June 17, 2014 by gerstlaueringvar
rcjp Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 ^Sounds great! They said the millennium flyer trains were already capable of doing it so, hopefully, this really will happen.

rcjp Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 ^I know. I was one of the users who suggested that question back then. I just want to know if they have anything different to say after two years and after quite a few more looping rides with lapbars have opened (and after intamin abandoned their OTSRs)
Shavethewhales Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Get excited people! The first GCI with inversion(s) is happening and will possibly be built in China. Hope that is true lay happening given that Chinese parks always give away their promising projects. Hmm? Is there a press release or anything to go with that or is that just a rumor? What do you do for GCII?
WFChris Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Is Zamperla there after their brushings with Golden Horse? Yes On the flip-side, is Golden Horse at the show?

Safety codes & ride dynamics are the ultimate deciding factor for any-type of ride restraint.
gerstlaueringvar Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 Update!!! Thunderbolt!!! OCT is ready to let you wait in line for 6 hours with one train operation and ride employees. Wonder World's knock-off Flying Dutchman with similar-to-Intamin-Multi-looper layout. Gerstlauer is here, well, the name is here. This is the big news!!! Outlaw Run at Vekoma booth!!! Chance!!! TP... 'nuff said Intamin is all empty. Closer and closer... WTF!?!? There is something weird This is Wanda's booth... Seriously? Golden Horse's 16 Inversion coaster? It's like full of barrel rolls and...headbanging. Golden Horse
gerstlaueringvar Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) There are a huge aunt of interactive dark ride booths here! Edited June 17, 2014 by gerstlaueringvar
markysharky17 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 A knock off I305 sounds scary. If people grey out on the I305 in America. What do you think the Chinease knock off I305 will do?

If it's Wanda, 70% could be real. Two of the four GG Fantawild woodies are featuring barrel roll(s) and run with Timberliners. The other two are running PTC trains. The one at HotGo is running Timberliners but without inversions. I interviewed Chance, they said they have a lot of potential clients that can buy bigger Hyper GTX model. They can add inversions but they hope their rides can focus on airtime more so they would not recommend inversions.

The Yeti Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) ^That being said, the layout looked different...but who said it would be a knock-off? The Wanda Group doesn't manufacture rides to my knowledge, do they? I would guess they are just showing off ideas for theme parks, but I do agree that the idea of a (presumably Golden Horse) knock-off giga-coaster sounds terrible. Oh the Flying Dutchman with an inverted looper layout? I'll take that! Edited June 17, 2014 by The Yeti

Congratulations on the position and thanks for taking the time to interview them.
