DenDen Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 This is the most insane thing I've ever seen. This documentary is about an old Italian man who opened a restaurant in the middle of the woods, and started building home made rides on the property, and has been for 40 years. The coaster looks huge! I would love to see more video on this. h/t to Gizmodo! [vimeo] [/vimeo]
DenDen Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 Just found a pic of their "Butterfly coaster". This is unbelievable!
kenshinmac Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Oh man some of the related videos are even better. I saw that on Gizmodo earlier and I really hope that they get there sometime.
Coaster Joe Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Thanks so much for posting this story as I had no idea this place existed. I have lots of respect for this man. Here's another coaster that you have to push to the top of the hill yourself.
cfc Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 That "Butterfly Coaster" looks like it was built by a high-school shop class (if such classes still exist).
Cmbgo12 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Movie Park has an 8 page thread for an Invertigo, yet no one has mentioned that Ai Pioppi is also getting a new coaster for either this year or next year! A weight-drop shuttle none-the-less RCDB Post
KBrylczyk Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Resurrection time! Tom Scott (excellent YouTube channel) just uploaded a video from his visit to this amazing, insane place. There's not a whole lot of in-depth coverage, but there's a bunch of clips interspersed with on-ride and ridercam of Ai Pioppi's looping bicycle thingamiajig. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Enjoy!
Tornado6 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 That looks interesting to say the least. It'd be cool if I had one of those myself.
K1ngdaKa88 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 On Google Street View you can see the Launch coaster pretty well Google Street View
ejot Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I lived less than three hours from this place for over a year - sadly before I was coaster or theme park enthusiast. Never knew about it. It is INCREDIBLY cool and now I need to get back there someday!! Here is a pic of the dude in his workshop. Photocredit is on the photo, found @ dailymail.co.uk with caption: "Dedicated: Bruno in his workshop. Over the past forty years he has built an amusement park by hand and in his own time". This is inspiring, I want to do this now!
