David H
Just so you know, I took the apostrophes out of my filenames. I guess there was still one, from the one I uploaded individually just to test if it would work. But I don't think that was responsible for any of the other problems. I guess it's good that I have a batch rename program. I'll have to set it to work on the thousands of pics from that trip!

robbalvey
-- there aren't any picture previews in the preview page using IE 10 -- if uploading more than one batch of pictures, ALL of the posting order numbers have to be manually changed. These two items have now been fixed.

805Andrew
I am testing the photo uploader on my iPhone 4S. It looks like the multi-file uploader worked fine here. It was easier to upload pictures from my phone than my computer. I am not home, but I will test the multi-file uploader on my Mac again when I'm home. I may have done something wrong. Last Sunday I went down to the LA area with some family members. In the afternoon we wanted to go to the beach so we went to Santa Monica. From the beach, there's a cliff dividing the beach area from the rest of Santa Monica. I was planning on getting this credit but queue was pretty long, so I decided to hold off. Oh well, it gives me an excuse to come back to Santa Monica. The Santa Monica Pier was packed on this Sunday in August. After walking along the beach and pier, we walked towards the Third St Promenade which was very nice.
ILoveRides
I'm having some issues. I'm trying to add 4 images to an existing report (my D23 Expo day 1 report) to replace 4 images in the middle of the report that didn't resize properly and are way too small. My plan was to upload the 4 new images to the end of the report, delete the four old images from the middle of the report that were too small, and then change the order of the last 4 new images to have them show up in the right place. I ran into two problems... 1. Images with the .jpeg suffix didn't upload. I renamed them .JPG and it worked. 2. After solving problem #1, I got the four photos to upload to the end of the report. However, the captions for all the original photos shifted down 4 places, filling in the last 4 new images with the four captions that were originally the last 4 captions of the report. At the beginning of the report, it repeated the 1st photo's caption 4 extra times, so the first 5 photos now had the caption that was only supposed to be on the 1st photo. Hopefully that makes sense? I'm using Safari on OSX.
805Andrew
Okay I tested the multi-file uploader again on my MacBook Pro using Firefox as my browser and my pictures coming from iPhoto. It won't let me check multiple pictures to be uploaded like it did on my iPhone but it will allow me to select the pictures that are next to each other by using the shift key. I'll make a video showing what I'm doing and post it to show what I mean.

Nowhere does it say "Upload photos from iPhone" it says in the directions "Click the "Browse" button to access your hard drive or iOS Camera Roll." You only check the box if you're uploading from an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, etc.) You can upload the video if you want, but this really sounds like user error. I can EASILY click the "Browse" button, and then select a bunch of files from my Mac hard drive without any issue. Look, I'll do it again here... Yeah. It would just fine. Please FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!!!! Edited August 18, 2013 by robbalvey

805Andrew
Yay! I solved my own problem. When selecting pictures from my hard drive, I needed to press and hold the command button to select multiple pictures at once. Once I did this, it was very easy to select the pictures that I wanted. The command button is directly to the left and right of the space bar on the Mac keyboard with ⌘ for those who don't know. Sorry if I caused you grief Robb. I totally forgot about the command button. I didn't click the iOS button by the way, I knew that was for iPhone/iPad. Anyways the new photo uploading system is great, especially for uploading pictures from one's iPhone. This is standard way to select multiple files in just about every app you open on the Mac. You use the CTRL button on the PC. You can also hold down the shift key to select a range, or use your mouse to grab multiple files. Honestly, this is "using your computer 101" and I really didn't think we needed to explain it, sorry. Sorry if I caused you grief Robb. I totally forgot about the command button. I didn't click the iOS button by the way, I knew that was for iPhone/iPad. Anyways the new photo uploading system is great, especially for uploading pictures from one's iPhone. No worries. Sorry if I was being harsh it's just that when we are paying a developer to help us code something for the forum, I have to pay for their time, and if I have them look into a "problem" that turns out to be "user error" then I'm wasting their time and my money. Hope you can appreciate where I'm coming from.

cfc
I used the image multi-uploader here, and it worked just fine. I encountered this problem that David mentioned when I tried to upload more photos beyond the initial 25: 2. This happened with my first post (I fixed it in preview mode). So, add "extra" photos first, then write your captions. ILoveRides
David, which post specifically had the display order issue? The .jpeg thing is fixed. This is the post I had the issue with: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1343049#p1343049 I never published it when it messed up all the captions (preview was as far as I got), so it still shows up correctly currently. Angry_Gumball
Trying from iPhone again, had hiccup where after selecting photos it showed that 'no photos added' in CGA thread, park update I was working on. Lets try here. Update, seems to work. I didn't see any indicator when trying to do it in the CGA thread and ended up copying the images to my computer, batch resizing them, and using the desktop multi uploader (which worked beautifully). I like how it shows the percentage/progress of uploading. Since this was my first time using it for an actual update, I figured I'd throw in my .02 on its functionality. This seriously made it a breeze getting my update posted...from how much quicker it is overall to the captioning process (I love the thumbnail preview images). Shoot, even the upload speeds seem to be quicker. I'll be honest here. As of lately, I've felt lazy when it came to uploading as it was starting to feel a bit cumbersome doing 1 image at a time...also had to sort my 'keeper photos' and move them to a separate folder so I knew what I was uploading. On top of that I had to remember which one I uploaded and hope I didn't repeat or forget any images (which I've done both). Now I can hand pick the ones I want while uploading...and not forget/duplicate anything! So yea, there's my mini review on my first time using this out in the 'real world' (outside of this forum).
