GayCoasterGuy Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Thanks for posting all the great pictures! What's Butterbeer taste like? Is there alcohol in it? Guess I should get around to watching a Harry Potter movie at some point...
CpBluestreakCp Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Great pictures! I'm hoping to go to Universal next time I'm in Florida, I want to see why everybody is raving about Butterbeer and give it a try. Great pictures again, looking forward to more.

Thank you both for the feedback I really enjoy the Butterbeer and prefer the frozen over the regular drink. Its a sweet drink that sort of reminds me of a cream soda with a hint of vanilla and a tiny hint of butterscotch. No alcohol but would love to try it with some added
Hockeyman55 Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 Hope everyone had a great holiday! Now that craziness of the holidays are over things are slowly getting back to normal. Here are a few random shots from Universal Orlando. Ironman display taken from the middle of the street in Marvel Superhero Island looking into the gift shop across from the arcade. Hockeyman55 Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 A few shots of Wishes taken in the hub area of the Magic Kingdom. Not the most ideal spot or angle but after getting back to the park late my options were rather limited.
Extreme Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 It may not have been the ideal location but that first picture looks fantastic. Keep up the great work Ken

BeemerBoy Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Very nice. You know, with your skills, you could really market yourself to the supercar owners down there.
Hockeyman55 Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 Very nice. You know, with your skills, you could really market yourself to the supercar owners down there. Thank you At least I know if I got into that circle the money would be good On a side note can anyone explain to me how to set up a table of contents on the 1st page of this thread please?
BeemerBoy Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 ^ If you're interested in some side jobs, I could probably get you in touch with some decent contacts. Just let me know. As for the table of contents thing on the first page, just copy and past each page you want linked like this, and then add the description in between as such: DESCRIPTION INSERTED HERE EDIT: Also, the tripod shadow in the Lambo pic kinda kills it. I'd try to avoid that in future shots if possible.

I would loved to turn my hobby into some sort of cash flow but really don't think I am just there yet as far as my picture taking skills and my gear. These pro guys are leaps and bounds ahead of me as far as both of those go IMO. Yeah the tripod shadow kills me also : ( I was limited on where I could have shot. Had I backed up (which Looking back I probably should have) I would have been in the street.
Hockeyman55 Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 Nothing like an early morning spin on the Hulk to get the blood pumping!

It's just such an incredibly tough market to get into because everyone has a camera, and a lot of people take great pictures, but you definitely are above the 'average' photographer (i'd be happy if I had one or two pictures like yours). I would suggest trying to start locally. Weddings, businesses, and profile shots could be a good start. Offer to do a few engagement sessions for free, and go from there. I know a few people who are making some money on the side doing this.

I have a few friends who tried to dabble in the portrait photography market and failed miserably, but I would consider them to be just an "average" photographer and they didn't really put much effort into it. I don't really know if that type of photography is my thing, you know. I would much rather do landscape or them park shooting photography and things of that nature.
Hockeyman55 Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 A couple night shots from my last Disney trip in November. Starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel with photos to post until my next trip in 2 weeks.
Hockeyman55 Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 Just got back from a long weekend trip to Disney and have a fresh batch of pictures to go thru and post. Here a couple for starters. China pavilion after Illuminations was over. My first time at hanging around Epcot afterwards to get some pictures, was actually very peaceful and nice. Everest on ride fish eye picture. This ride was really difficult to get decent pictures on with going from sunny to pitch black to shade while going along rather quickly. Luckily I was able to get a few nice pictures and here is one of them. Wishes shot from the hub area. My first time shooting from that spot and really liked being able to get the whole show head on with the castle and statue.
firewalk13 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 great shots, thanks for posting (and keep them coming!)
Randomman295 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 How did I only just now hear about this thread? I love your picture of Expedition Everest. These are the best photos I've seen on the TPR forums. Thanks a million for posting.
BeemerBoy Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Dude, that last set is dialed in! Very nice!
Hockeyman55 Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 Thank you all very much I still have a ton to go through and process and will try to post a few or at least one a day.
RoCo Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 More phenomenal work. This is pro-level stuff, no question.
jray21 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Some more awesome pictures! I'm terrible at firework pictures.
the ghost Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 I have been here a long time. I have seen several BEAUTIFUL photos of parks from all over the world, yet I have never seen another photographer who is able to consistently make my jaw drop to the floor with virtually every post. I originally thought nothing was going to beat the Thunder Mountain Dino shot, then came the Christmas parade, then Rip Ride Rockit, then the over exposed Expedition Everest shot, and more recently the firework shots... each and every photo seemingly more amazing than the last. I know you are just doing this as a hobby, but you have talent and could easily sell some of these photos/be a photographer. These are amazing and I can't wait to see more!

Thank you all very much for the kind words The Ghost, I wish all my shots came out amazing but truth is it takes quiet a bit of shooting, and luck lol, to get the pictures that I am looking for.
Hockeyman55 Posted February 13, 2013 Author Posted February 13, 2013 I proclaim today Haunted Mansion Wednesday Today I have a couple pictures from my last spin on Haunted Mansion at the Magic Kingdom.
