- Steel Venom at Valleyfair. Add a coaster next to Challenge park. I asked if it was free or upcharge (I was dumb in 03)

I totally agree with Steel Venom. Especially now since they've taken both Chaos and Skyscraper out. Because of that, there's an awkwardly long walk with no rides or anything on the way to Steel Venom and Challenge Park. It definitely feels like a separate area.

Once CGA's GCI woodie goes up, I could see Prudential saying that the coaster's in the worst spot since it will interupt whatever is going on in their buildings, while us enthusiasts think it's in a great spot as you have this massive wooden structure inviting/intimidating guests as they enter the park.

I think it would be more of a painful reminder to Prudential that they failed to stop this coaster, and now we get to laugh at them for even trying.

I don't really think that they failed to stop the coaster from happening. I think some form of agreement was made, none of us really know what went on behind the scenes other than some noise tests to satisfy the grumpy neighbors.

The worst one I've seen even worse then scream was when Greased Lighting was up and running at Paramounts Great America (now CGA under cedar fair). When I went on it, it was well hidden behind the action motion theaters. I think me and my friends had to go trough a arcade to get to it as well.

All I know is that visually it was well obstructed but during that time it was practically a walk on ride. Once me and friends rode it 3 times without getting out of the cars at all. Did the same thing on Grizzly once somehow.

::note:: I assume the action theaters were put up after greased lighting rather then paramount putting a coaster where it's blocked from nearly every view.

^Yes, the Action Theater was set up way after Tidal Wave, one of the original Mariott-added coasters was put in. I do agree, the entrance and exit was pretty well hidden after the building was put in. The only way you could tell the shuttle loop was there was the loop by the restrooms and the spikes. I believe the entrance/exit was just to the right of the arcade/action theater building.

Considering the theme on the Samurai Summit, S:TEFK seems out of place . Especially with Tatsu and Ninja. But six flags has been known to throw rides into random sections of the park and lot.

I agree with Batwing. It is way too far away from the rest of the park. Luckily, this often helps keeps the lines relatively short because people first have to find the ride then make a conscious effort to ride it, rather than just stumbling upon it.

Except the last year of Op when they spent money make a new entrance and sign by the 50's diner where Firefall is now, only to shit the ride down and pull it out the following year.

I don't Like where X2 is in the sense of getting to it. It's a great visual for people arriving to the park, but I hate having to go across that bridge to a dead end. Just my own personal laziness I suppose.

Also, since KD is a hot topic in the thread. I personally liked Grizzly's placement and had no problem finding it, I however don't care for Ricochet and Hurler's spots with them oddly tucked away in the back corner.
